They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. That said, based on how Sunline handled the situation, the overall quality of their work, and the value they offer, I would recommend them and plan to continue using them for future needs.

After months of follow-ups, delays, and waiting for management to finalize the paperwork, I was suddenly informed that the company had implemented a "new process" requiring a non-refundable $1,000 payment before they would process the application, engineering review, or other preliminary work.

Minas was the head installer it seemed (all people are internal employees with Aloha and work is NOT contracted out, that was a big seller for us), and two other guys Rigo and Matt. Minas walked me through everything at the end, and major bonus points once he installed the piping going from battery to roof, he asked if I had paint that matched the exterior of my house. I did, and he then painted all of the piping! I know he did not have to do that, so that was a fantastic touch. It was seamless and "almost" right on the projected time frames. Through the process they kept me up to date and were available for a few questions I had along the way. The installation crew came out and they were EVEN better than the customer service and sales rep. Eduardo Naranjo needs a promotion and a raise. The man was so humble, genuine and all around a great guy. He dealt with my kids and many dogs with no fear lol. He was professional and kept me apprised of everything the crew was doing. At then end of the installation I was sad to see the man and his team go because they were so personable and efficient. The install of my panels and batteries looks way way better than I could have imagined. I already had existing solar that I liked. But this new system blows it out the water. Anyway. Wire Smart is a great combination of Trust, Knowledge, affordability and capability. Family run business I have been using for years, small projects to new residential construction, remodel, full house rewire, panel upgrade, multiple solar installs, battery backup, EV charging and even spa connection. While you will see some other guys John and Ethan run the show, which is a great mix of Old School and New School. John has been in the industry for decades and there is nothing he hasn't seen before or run into that he can't fix. Great with inspectors and the folks at the permit counter. Ethan on the other hand knows how to install all the latest panels, breakers, apps for monitoring solar, smart home devices and I have seen him load pallets worth of panels onto a third story roof without breaking a sweat. I also need to warn John that Ethan is on your heels when it comes to experience these days, he is catching up. Great company to work with, they really stop and listen to what you need and come up with the right solution for your application. I have worked with some companies that say well this is what we did last time so that must be the answer this time, that almost never works. In the middle of a project they often say hey did you think about this? You know that thing that if you do it now it costs $10 but if you try and do it later because you forgot about it it costs you $500? I have often bid out projects and every time they come in less and start and finish when they say they will. I can not strongly suggest them enough when it comes to solar, I have done two projects with them and have two more they are going to start soon. These guys know what they are talking about, not those ridiculous solar sales guys other companies send out that know nothing but high pressure sales. Nobody beats their prices either. You will get an incredible product that will look like professionals installed it (because that is what they are), clean, correct and with all the cool little apps and monitoring so you can see it saving you money everyday.

I'm the type of person who is very specific about what I want and I did my homework. I got four different bids for this project, and C2C was the clear winner. Their quote was completely itemized--which I appreciated--and ended up being well under every other retail bid I received. Two people really made the difference: Mary and Bolo. Mary is a literal pro when it comes to the insurance side of things. She worked tirelessly on the supplements to ensure we maximized our RCV payout from our insurance. She caught things the adjuster missed and helped us get the settlement we actually needed to do the job right. Bolo, the project manager, was extremely responsive and reasonable throughout the entire build. Whenever a technical issue came up--even complex stuff like electrical circuit stability or specific plumbing heights--he was there to talk it through and get it handled. One thing I will say for people considering them: you need to be the kind of homeowner who has the capacity to stay on top of the work. If you know exactly what you want and you're willing to stay involved in the day-to-day details, C2C is an incredible solution. It's a partnership, and because I stayed engaged, we were able to hit a level of quality that usually costs twice as much. The house looks amazing (see the photos of the Blue Thunder Quartzite and the Jade tile!). They were fair, they were fast, and most importantly, they were responsive. Highly recommend if you want high-end results without the "luxury markup" of other firms.

This is the second water leak mitigation & restoration we've done with C2C and while the PM on the…read morerestoration portion was outstanding this time, overall, there were more issues with the mitigation than last. Specifically, they subbed out the demo portion to another company which incurred more costs and thus lead to rejection of payment by insurance company. Or rather, it was ruled as costs extending beyond ordinary expenses. Had it been included with the mitigation equipment, the insurance would've likely accepted it, as it did last time. The actual work performed by everyone was great in the end, just as it had been last time. Everything was remediated properly and more importantly, timely. Brandon the PM on mitigation along with David the PM on the restoration side were great, with David being the most responsive and communicative PM I've ever worked with. Meaning, updates everyday, as promised. That was the best part of the whole project for me as an anxious homeowner. I will say that my own insurance agent didn't help matters either in this case. He was super hard to work with and eventually C2C had trouble reaching him. This also soured the whole experience as everyone worked to track him down by phone and to prove that all expenses were legitimate. I'm on the fence as to whether to use C2C again for mitigation. Would not hesitate to use them for restoration though.
