I brought my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee to Black Tires & Auto Service for coolant leaks and overheating near the water pump area. I was told the issue was repaired, tested, and the vehicle was ready. Immediately after leaving the shop, the vehicle began overheating again while I was driving toward the airport. I had to take it to another repair shop (CarFix in Garner, NC), where I was later informed that a drain plug from the prior repair had not been properly sealed, causing coolant loss and repeated overheating. Despite attempts to save the engine, it ultimately failed and had to be replaced at a cost exceeding $15,000. Black Tires & Auto charged me $1,046.86 for the original repair and refused to take responsibility, issue a refund, or offer any assistance. I have documentation from both repair facilities. Based on my experience and similar reviews from other customers, I cannot recommend this shop. read more

I will never do business with this place again. The guy in charge named Steve was rude during both interactions and I even witnessed him cursing at an employee during a heated discussion at one point. Between this and being overcharged, I wouldn't recommend anyone stopping here.​ read more

I shredded my tire on the interstate the day before. I was in town for a conference and don't know the area. I stopped in and they were slammed busy. The gentleman at the desk was very respectful and honest. I couldn't wait for a later appointment so I asked for a local referral. He directed me to Rockside Tire and they took wonderful care of me. If I lived closer, I would shop at Black's. Their prices were reasonable and the staff was friendly and honest. I fully recommend them! read more

I walked in for a safety inspection of my RV. Personally, I had recently starting using awake, due to a worsening of sciatica. The intake rep immediately recognized my bent over posture and suggested a remedy . He came out from behind the counter explain what he was doing and why then tightened up where he had just adjusted and let me have a try and it was night versus day ! He didn't know me from Adam's house cat and yet before I'd even experienced a service offered by the establishment I had received the most personal and wonderful customer service that I have ever had . The rest of the story follows its own usual ending in that we carried out our business and I left to go home but I will always remember the little extra offered to me by the nice customer service rep from this very nice establishment . Terrible front desk staff employees that walk away as soon as you enter. When they return at their own convenience, the staff talk down to their customers in the most condescending way as if the customers are complete idiots. Trying to be kind and respectful towards them initially will only make them drag on their sarcastic attitudes. I asked for an alignment check, and the bald middle-aged milk dud looking smart-ass fool at the front desk proceeded to spend upwards of 5-10 minutes thoroughly and moronically over-explaining how cars, tires, and alignments work & wear over time. Finally, he tried to sell me on an alignment check so outrageously overpriced that I had to question based on other Black's location price points. Once I did that, he then decided to let me know that they wouldn't be able to help me that day because they were so booked up. With my time that he wasted doing his charade, he could have just simply told me that they were booked up for the day and I could have been looking for a much more professional business to help me. Do not waste your time here either! More than likely, they will attempt to charge you for simply walking through the door to their shitty establishment, then up-charge you for every service they can, and speak to you in the most arrogant manner. read more

Fast service and quickly back on road tire was a little high priced. But happy over all with them

We needed a spare tire and rim for our travel trailer and this shop was on the way back to Florida. We called ahead and they happened to have what we needed. We got there without an appointment and left 20 minutes later with the tire, and they even put it on the back of the trailer for us. They were super friendly and fast. We were driving home to Florida on 95 when our car began shaking. We got off the highway and called Black's Tire and Auto. They fit us in right away and they were able to determine it wasn't serious. We had tar on our tires and underneath the car that was causing the shaking. They were both honest and helpful. We were so lucky to find them in our time of need. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an honest and fair mechanic. read more

I needed to get my truck inspected and had went to 3 other places and they weren't able to get to it. I called Blacks Tire and spoke with Linda and she told me to come on down. They were able to get me right in and take care of it. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Highly recommend and any future repairs I will be bringing my trucks here!! read more
