A super common problem with the model I've run into before. I brought it back to Peoples and they put a new alternator in it that day. They encouraged me to check on the warranty on the part before they started working, when that didn't work out they put it in and finished the job the same day and were very upfront about pricing. Definitely come here first if you have an issue. I'm a woman and they didn't treat me any differently or give me the run around. I've already booked my inspection with them!

If they're happy being at work it says a lot about that establishment. Every time I've brought my car in they've been diligent with what needs to be done and honest enough to tell me what doesn't need to be done. That says a lot. So shout out to Brandon - keep smiling! Shout out to the bookeeper for letting me know that my last car was a money pit and I needed to move on. And last but not least -- Shout out to the mechanics who do such a good job of keeping my car in good shape.

My wife dropped the truck off at 8:00 AM while I was at work, yet I still found myself waiting past closing time to pick it up. The final bill exceeded what I would have expected to pay at a Chevrolet dealership for the same maintenance. While I understand quality work comes at a price, the value simply was not there for the amount charged. What left the strongest impression was sitting in the waiting area listening to the manager/owner conduct business calls that did not reflect the level of professionalism I expect from a company handling expensive vehicles. Between the excessive cost, the lengthy turnaround time, and the overall customer experience, this is not a shop I would choose to use again. Read the comments!

What killed it for me was the estimate. First, it was WAY more expensive than I thought. But I could have dealt with that had they just broken down the bill for me: parts, labor, recycling fees, taxes. You know, the same way every other shop does it. But when I asked for this, all I got was, "Out system doesn't do that." Dead end. So I went where I could get more transparency.

I bought tires from Tire Buyer website for the discount and decided to use these these guys to do…read morethe install. With tire buyer install was $80. I called to let them know that I would be switching out wheels and lug nuts also so I was charged an additional $40. All good with me. After my service I was charged another $40 for what I believe was Tesla tax but oh well. But that was fine too. I drove approximately 35 miles and I start to hear a weird click and rumble. I pull over looking around and soon realized some of my lug nuts can be removed by hand... that was my run making that noise. I hope my new aluminum wheels will be ok. I call them and they ask me to bring it in, in which I tell them I'm not driving it. So they send their service guy with his electronic impact which he stated could have had a dead battery the day before. He says that he knows the torque spec is 129 ft-lbs. He tightens again with the same impact and leaves saying that it could be my lug nuts. That night, I made sure to buy a torque wrench and a socket to tighten my lug nuts myself. Just to make sure it's not my wheel nuts like was stated before, I checked them at home with the wrench set to 129lbs of torque. A good number of them were loose again by the 50 something miles I drove. I drove around for another few days and my lug nuts have not loosened up. I'm just glad my wheel didn't roll off on the highway.

EL and his guys always do a great job, so I wasn't thrilled to have to get out of my comfort zone and find a new place. But with the summer heat in North Carolina, about the last thing you want not working in your vehicle is the air conditioning. I read the glowing reviews of Choice Auto Care on Yelp, and elsewhere, and decided to give them a shot. I am glad I did. Don was quick to get me in, and then out, and the job was done right - and VERY timely. He reminded me of my long-time mechanic from when I lived in South Florida. In fact, the two could almost be twins. It's a little further in distance than I usually go - in fact, I can walk to my 'regular' guy - but I highly suggest Don and the staff at CAC. It is never enjoyable having to get certain repairs done, but if you are going to spend hundreds of dollars for a fix, it's nice to know places exist that will do the job right, and not screw you over trying to upsell and still give great customer service. If you're in the North Raleigh area, definitely give them a call!
