Just back from a trip to Tucson. Whenever I visit, I always try to get some Blackjack Pizza. I love their BBQ chicken pizza - sauce is yummy and good portion of chicken - no skimping here. I also love the veggie pizza - actually everything but the olives, but they'll make the way you want it. Seriously, the best sauce on pizza so even the plain cheese pizza is delicious. I don't usually go for the extra cheesebread, but rec'd a sample with my order - omg, good stuff! Actually saved some for the next day and it was even tastier! You can't beat their prices. Great food but WORST customer service!!! I ordered a delivery a few weeks ago and it is ok two and a half hours for them to deliver my pizza and wings. A manger had told me she would credit my account for my next order. When I called to place the order of the credit I was told would be on my account another manger (Trish) said she can't be giving out free food and she called the other manger and she said I was never promised "free food" so when I asked her what does a credit to my account means she got a really bad attitude and said she didn't have time for this and to call back to talk to another manager or call the general manager because she didn't have time for me because she has a job to do and hung up on me. read more

Solid, consistent and friendly place. Their pizza is not greasy. The dough is good and the pizza sauce is tasty. Ingredients are good quality and fresh. They are fast and efficient. Just a good quality, standard pizza. The new pan pizzas are delicious. Blows the doors off the Pionic pizza down the street. Excellent value too. One time we went there and the manager checked out pizza and said it wasn't made right. He said if we could wait 15 minutes he'd make us a new one. You know how sometimes you have different experiences with the same company? second review is for an order delivered late, but nicely handled. I called and because of the unexpected increase in business that night. The manager told me to tell the driver to give me a discount, even though already prepaid w/ccd..driver gave me back $3. That was totally cool and I asked him if it was going to come out of his pocket, because it wasn't his fault and I wouldn't accept that. He said no. I still put a tip on my cc for him. I also received a coupon for breadsticks or cheesesticks free next time. Very cool....Still 5 stars at this point. Then.......I ordered again less than 2 week later. This time, the person that took my ccd info was diff than the order taker. He quoted me 30-40 min....50 minutes later, I called. The order taker said he'd check with the driver and let me know the driver was close. He said no quote for time was given, but I said the other guy did. He really didn't respond, so I said ok then and hung up. At least let the customer know it they are running late. Then I was pretty mad that we ordered a 20pc and 10 pc order of wings along with a 2 topping pizza, which usually you get one ranch for every 5 wings. I got 2 half filled ranch cups! I couldn't eat wings until I went to the store to get a bottle of ranch the next day. Not to be picky here, but I cannot handle a burning mouth without that beautiful cool ranch to mellow it out and that is what honesty and reviewing here is all about. It's the little things. I still have to give this one experience a 4star review. It wasn't the food, just the employees that sucked that night. I couldn't call to gripe about the lack of ranch. So Yelp has this coupon for I think 10% off and apparently the staff aren't aware of that. Ok, I thought not a big deal since I got their carry out special, but when they tried to give me the 10% off it actually came out to a higher price since I guess you can't combine the deals. This wasn't the main issue, but the young lady we were dealing with was mega rude about it. The manager even told her "Are you going to give them their pizza?" and she just walked towards the back. And it came in excatly 30 minutes as she had told me. When i called, She told me all about all the specials, and was very patient with me, since I had no clue what I wanted. They put me on hold immediately after picking up the phone and I waited on the line. When he came back a few minutes later, the employee told me they don't deliver to my area. I asked him why he put me on hold if they don't deliver to my area and he said it's because I didn't give him my address, I then said that I would have given him my address if he didn't immediately put me on hold when he picked up the phone. I wasn't done complaining and he hung up the phone, I called back and asked for a manager and he explained he was the manager. Surprised. I asked who his boss was and he said 'Frank'. Does this 'Frank' have a last name I asked? He said yes, 'Frank *********'. I will be calling him tomorrow. Everything tastes fresh always hot delivery is pretty fast being a customer for so long I've had my share of messed up pizzas and bad service luckily they are good about weeding those people out and fixing any issues with my order if/when it happens so it's never a big deal the only negative I have is the early or mid day pizzas typically aren't as good and have more mistakes than if I order in the evening or night also try the calzones! This is my favorite delivery pizza in Tucson. When I moved to my current home 5 years ago, I was bummed that I wasn't going to be able to order delivery from my favorite East Side pizza place, and I was hoping to find something just as good..and when I tried Blackjack, I was not disappointed! I've been ordering consistently since then and I've never had a bad experience. The thing that sets Blackjack apart is the quality and variety of ingredients. I like the pizza here but i just was part of false advertisement. The flyer says "get a free soda" when you purchase online for the first you get a free soda. It was my first time purchasing online and I was told that I don't qualify for a soda but that I can get a coupon... they told me that i have to put that online and I said that the next time i order it wont be the first time anymore and they said "I dont know what to tell you". The whole time I remained calm but i was truly pretty mad. I also did not see anywhere in the advertisement that the free soda had to be inputed online when you place your order. I was on hold for 14 mins and 53 seconds before we got an answer and when I asked to speak with a manager about it the manager wouldn't even talk to me on the phone. This pizza is fairly priced and i have not been dissapointed yet. Better than pizza hut, little ceasers and papa johns in my opinion. Their calzones are huge and enough for two and really tasty, just get the extra sauce on the side. I mistakingly thought it came with and it didn't. Also my kids LOVE their pepperoni pizza and the Mediterranean pizza is pretty darn good as well.... sorry i would have a picture but we ate as soon as it came.. not to mention the delivery driver is super awesome and friendly and funny with the kids when they want to help carry stuff in. Long story short paid for burnt pizza and was told my family would receive our order on the house next time, being that not until we were driving out of town for vacation did we realize this and could not have it fixed that day. Big mistake I told my wife that when we call to redeem this credit they would not honor it. However she insisted we have been ordering at this blackjacks for the last nine month consistently. Now after being told to call a different store since they dont even have our recent orders?? Wtf?? Finally being told we couldnt have gotten a credit because they dont give credits because they have so many mess ups the gm said no more credits also a lot of people scam them apparently for free food ( cant help but feel that last one was aimed at me. Horrible. Snotty, stuck up employees who could care less about you. I ordered online, was told it would be here in 30 minutes. 75 minutes later, I call to see what the hell is going on. After I told the girl I was still waiting 45 minutes AFTER it was supposed to be here. She cuts me off to tell me to hold on a minute. After being on hold for 5 minutes, I get hung up on. I call back and told then the same thing, PLUS the fact they just hung up on me. They lady rudely interrupts me (again) and says "it's on its way" and hung up on me. By this time I'm PISSED obviously. I'm a full time student, I work full time and I have 2 kids. I don't have time for some stuck up broad whose biggest issue is if she forgot to use a condom during her last drunken frat party. The delivery driver was an older man who was very sweet, and apologized for something that wasn't his fault. The food was hot, so it wasn't the driver. It was the store. The pizza is good, but NOT enough to deal with those snotty ass broads ever again. BTW this was this last friday late afternoon/ evening time. Terrible service. I get pizza delivered to my workplace from this location on a regular basis. I live 3 blocks down the street from there. The delivery area they have listed online (that goes a mile past my address) but the guy on the phone tells me "it cannot be delivered to because the computer won't let them". They have delivered here several times in the past. Then, when I pointed out I'm a mile within the delivery area, I hear the delivery driver tell his manager, "that's too far out man, I don't want to drive downtown, those streets are all one way and sh*t" If you are not going to deliver because you don't know the delivery area, at least have the decency to tell me so. Looks like I'll be sticking with Empire Pizza from now on. Tad more expensive, but they actually deliver to the areas they have listed online.
