The DriveTanks guys that assisted us, Riley, Riley and Gabriel were all super-knowledgeable and helpful and made some great recommendations and provided advice on how to use the various weapons and platforms we rented. Highlights were the PAK40, firing the Sherman, the high-speed course run on the Leopard (who knew you could drift a tank?), the Ma Deuce and of course the flamethrower. Huge array of automatic weapons to choose from and chose we did. Ammo is reasonably priced and I suggest getting more than you expect as you rip through it. I would 100% recommend a visit and would certainly return with a group again.

My brother in law is a gun enthusiast so naturally, I have rolled into the place a few times over…read morethe past few years. 2020 was the pandemic year and with nothing else to do on weekends after things started opening up that June, we went to Apache Rifleworks and checked out their inventory. There was a run on ammo back then so a trip there a week to buy ammo was necessary. Last year, I finally bought a gun there. It's a Mark IV 22 that is an absolute joy to use for target shooting. The ammo is not that expensive so shooting 2-4 boxes of 22's sets you back $20 - $30. Overall, I enjoy going to Apache especially during their advertised sale which they don't do very often. I'm not into guns like my brother in law but he gets me in there at least 4 times a year. It's a grand place to look at guns and has a great shooting range with a very helpful, competent and professional instructor. I've tried their shooting range and it's very nice. They also have in house classes for everything about gun ownership and shooting exercises. One caution, it is a very expensive hobby. Just wanted to share that with you!

I just got set up a couple made a couple of shots.... a couple of people drove up and then the range master said i was going to have to move!!! He told me to use thid bench!!!! so i packed my things and left this was wrong to treat a customer that way.. Ive been there a couple of times and it was fine.. but after this experience probably wont go back... I told the owner about it but that was it... its a shame....

However I am baffled about the people complaining about RSOs asking to see NFA paperwork. The paperwork clearly states always have the forms on you as it's well within the rights of the establishment to verify. One person saying it's not the RSO's business?! Last time I checked this isn't a publicly owned space but a private business. Not to mention you're supposed to have the paperwork on you anytime you're in possession/transporting. Guess I'm confused what the actual problem is? :/

Everyone is so friendly, professional, welcoming, I felt comfortable.. and there have been a few ranges we have checked out here in San Antonio are I didn't feel was the right place for me. Prices are great! $15 for person. My son got a free day because of his work. It's a simple process.. scan a barcode answer some questions. They have guns you can rent, they do training classes, safety classes and even fingerprinting for your Conceal Carry. Great supplies, hats, shirts, ammo, all kinds of gun parts, ammo boxes, etc. you can rent lanes or bays. They also have an area for bows. At the front of the property there is a cool little pond with a covered area and picnic tables. Perfect for if you want to take the family but not everyone wants to go to the range they can just sit and have a picnic!! It was a cool day overall.. the area where range is thankfully is covered with big fans to help with the heat. What really made me respect this place is that every lane has a picture of a serviceman/ woman that has passed - their picture and story. Memorial for each... that shows enormous amount of respect ! They definitely gained a new customer!

So that was satisfying. They provided the instructions on everything and discussed safety in detail. In my opinion the staff were totally professional ans made sure safety was a priority. I didn't feel unsafe at all while qualifying here at this range. I would recommend this place for outdoor range shooting.

It's not academy which has allot more variety but a nice local small gun shop.

Our instructor Tyler was very easy going and helpful. My wife and I were the only people attending that day which was nice. We had a lot of fun shooting at the range, and were able to fire both pistols and rifles.
