Exorbitantly priced items that are of very average quality. I won't be returning to this store again.

First of all, the young man that was working in the store was a perfect gentleman and has nothing…read moreto do with my review. He was merely doing his job as he was trained to do, and was very polite. They have a "system". You put your sex, age, name, and email address on a screen. Then you lay on a bed that calibrates to your body to pick the "right" mattresses for you. The young man led me to a mattress to try out, which of course felt like a dream. I only wanted a twin xl, and he quoted a price of $3840. I could see this was not going to be my preferred method of picking out a mattress. I asked if I could just look around on my own and try a few in my price range. He said I'm sorry we don't allow that because you will probably get frustrated and will walk out without a mattress. I do NOT fault him for the policy, he didn't write it. I felt bad when I thanked him and left the store. I went there to try out some mattresses and if I found one I liked I was going to purchase it. This nice young man lost a sale because of a ridiculous policy he had no control over.

I absolutely love vintage stores so when VA Vintage opened nearby, I couldn't wait to stop in. The…read morestore was huge and packed with an array of different items, such as albums, collectibles, home decor, snacks, clothes, candles, furniture, jewelry, etc. You name it, they had it lol. I spent most of my time looking through the albums, which included all genres. I've found that vintage stores have the best variety of records. The prices ranged from less than $20 to some that were almost $90. After searching for a while, I found a Gap Band album from 1983, which I couldn't wait to get home and listen to. I strolled through each aisle because I was very intrigued with all of the unique items. There was an area with pickled vegetables and canned goods so I grabbed some pickled okra and corn salsa as well. Right when I thought there wasn't more to see, I noticed a back area that included beautiful furniture, tables, paintings and other home accessories. I even saw a church pew lol! Overall, this place is a vintage paradise. You can easily spend hours in this store. The staff were very pleasant and I even signed up for their Loyalty Program, where you can earn points for every dollar you spend! I will definitely be returning soon!

I am writing this a warning to those considering whether to get a booth at this business. I was…read moreamong the first to sign up for a booth. When I first signed up as a vendor we were told that if there were any problems management would address us personally and give us time to correct the issue. As time went by what started out as a very laid back attitude has turned into a ridged list of do's and don'ts and threats of lease cancellations for any and all transgressions. They have started to evaluate performance of booth renters: "Sales are certainly an important factor, but they are only one part of a much larger picture. We also evaluate: * Booth presentation and cleanliness * Inventory quality and variety * Consistency of restocking * Participation in store events and promotions * Compliance with store policies and procedures * Communication and responsiveness * Professionalism and attitugde toward staff, management, customers, and fellow vendors * Social media participation and support of store marketing efforts" "Yes--VA Vintage reserves the right to terminate a vendor lease at any time, in accordance with the terms of the agreement. Reasons for termination may include (but are not limited to): * Failure to meet sales performance expectations * Booth not meeting store standards or aesthetic requirements * Policy violations or repeated non-compliance * Non-payment of rent or fees * Inappropriate or disruptive behavior * Safety concerns or violations * In most cases, a 30-day notice will be provided * Immediate termination may occur in cases involving serious violations or safety concerns" Items in quotations are from the vendor Facebook page. They threaten lease termination for a variety of reasons in various posts throughout the previous 6 months or so. So basically you are paying them a good chunk of money and then they treat you like an employee rather than a business owner. All of this would be all well and good if they worked with you when problems arrised as they originally promised but a few months ago someone posted that they were given notice out of the blue without any warning. The auxiliary Facebook page independent from VA Vintage where this was posted mysteriously disappeared. I complained about VA Vintage on a completely separate Facebook page not really realizing it was a public comment and very quickly had my lease cancelled. This was one of several reasons given and NO I was never approached about the other reasons before having my lease cancelled. Apparently they don't believe in the first amendment and REALLY can't stand criticism themselves. So they emailed me on the 10th of June after closing saying they were giving me 30 days notice. The next sentence said my last day would be June 30. What is wrong with this picture? Before getting this notification I had spoken to another vendor who was also nervous because their sales numbers weren't great and they were also aware of the other vendor who was terminated without any previous notification of problems. Since my notification I have spoken to a couple more who also referenced the frequent threats of termination as making them nervous. In my opinion this is no way to run a business treating your customers (paying vendors are customers), like employees. Management acts like this is a big fun community but behind the scenes it is anything but. It also seems like there has been a purge of employees: "Over the coming days, you'll begin seeing some new staff and management faces around VA Vintage. Many of you will also notice that a few members of our management team are no longer with VA Vintage. As with any growing business, people come and go, and leadership evolves over time."" In another post on the vendors Facebook page after saying he is OK with his vendors selling in other malls Danny adds this veiled threat: "If most of your time and energy goes into promoting another store while putting little to no time and energy into promoting VA Vintage, it can send the wrong message. We invest a tremendous amount into marketing, events, and bringing customers through our doors, and I want to continue investing in the vendors who invest back into us." I can't help but wonder if they are trying to rotate vendors in and out the same as vendors switch out inventory. Lest I forget, I have also seen a post where management is not allowing any more jewelry or clothing vendors. So if you sell these things you may not be allowed to sell there.

I'm happy another Hallmark moved in bc it's a nice compliment to the shopping center and the only one around for a long ways. They have all the things inside you expect and have a wonderful selection of cards for every occasion and small gifts. I recently was able to find just what I was looking for, an 80th birthday card for my father-in-law - how specific is that?! Ladies inside are super friendly and if you have an account you can provide your phone number to track purchases and rack up points for coupons.

It is a medium size store but it is packed. There is no empty spaces. They stay fully stocked. I can never walk out empty handed. I always find good items. They start out with a great selection of cards. You can even get packs of cards and stationary. I would say 1/4 of the store is stationary. Their seasonal items are also wonderful. They get new items in all the time. From week to week they run sales too. If I am in the shopping center I drop in just to see what new stuff they have or what sales they are running. Like I said I am always buying something. This past visit my husband was even buying a bunch. They are not limited to items for women. They have a nice selection for everyone. My husband got a bunch of cool looking socks. They seem to really keep up with the latest trends. Whoever is their buyer for this store they are doing a great job. We shop here as often as we can. We always buy gifts ahead. When that persons birthday comes or a gift giving holiday we already have something for them .
