I'm gonna say this is the best Target on the Southside. It's been many years since my last visit and possibly it been renovated. The store was clean, organized, staffed and most importantly stocked. I did dorm shopping with my daughter after being unable to find items at other Targets. We found them at this one and had checked the app prior to arrival. We also had staff help us. Checkout was done with a real live human... hallelujah! The staff was friendly and professional. My daughter and I also got a Starbucks prior to departing. I wish this store was not 40 minutes away from my home. 4.5 fits them well. read more

I liked this particular Target. They seemed to have a lot more in stock in just about all areas of the store. My pregnant daughter was looking around for some maternity clothes and I noticed they had much more in stock than other Targets. The store was clean, well organized, and as I just mentioned, pretty stocked up. Prices are usually about the same in all Target so I didn't see a difference. I like this Target very much! read more

Excellent job Target. Great website to sign up online and schedule shots. Super nice staff. It took me maybe one whole minute to check in and get my shot. And the nice guy giving me my shot was nice enough to take time out of his busy day to take my picture. I always get all of my prescriptions filled here too. Target is doing a really good job during this quarantine of trying to take health seriously while stocking shelves, employing people, and keeping social distancing a thing. I've visited twice for two big stock-up trips in the last 6 weeks and find them to be well-stocked (in everything except toilet paper of course) and to have clear signage on the floor and at the registers to keep people distanced from one another during the times when they would cluster up. The self-checkouts and carts are all being sanitized after each use and staff are available to help. I've been irritated with this location for lack of staff manning registers and the self-checkout process but they've been doing much better the last few months and I have been very impressed with their efforts and quick changes during this time. Also, I am a HUGE fan of the Target app which is easy to use and saves me tons of money and 1% cash back on all purchases is awesome! read more

A good Target shop with a limited grocery section. It's not a Super Target, meaning that they only have a limited produce, meat and frozen section. Still, you can do a good shop here. As well, the usual departments including clothing, electronics, personal care and a full service pharmacy. Clean, bright, well stocked. As A-OK as nearly every Target store is. read more

This location has EVERYTHING you'd need in a top notch Target location. Clean bathrooms ORGANIZED CLEARANCE RACKS Friendly customer service representatives Poppin' dollar spot AND a Starbucks It seems like they are in the middle of a remodel, but among all of that, I still had 4 different associates approach me and ask if I needed any help finding/looking for anything. I also noticed that this location had several price scanners and customer call stations where you could request assistance from an employee. Absolutely love the convienence of these things! Their inventory is always fully stocked and organized. They also offer 5 self-checkout stations to make leaving Target a little bit easier. Upon leaving the store I saw they had a "Caroline's Cart." A functioning cart that has a large seat for individuals with special needs (see picture). I've seen posts about these carts but have never seen them in a location before. Fantastic store and customer service. LOVE the drive up pickup and today y'all were particularly on point. Realized how low we were on dog food, ordered, let you know I was on the way and a sweet wonderful associate, standing there in the heat and with a mask (poor guy in this heat ugh), loaded the Iams into my car. Large parking lot, not too busy, items aren't picked over (especially like the Princess Anne/S Independence one!), this one is on the newer side, there's a Starbucks inside, what else do you need? I'm writing this review approximately 1HR after the event took place on 10/28 3:30PM at this VA Beach Target store. I took my 9YR old son to this Target store to purchase a video game he had been saving up for, for several months. After purchasing the game and heading out of the store, my son noticed NFL trading cards by the front and picked up a box and headed to the register. The box was among appx: 10-12 other neatly stacked boxes of the same type with a $11.99 price tag. Everything on the racks were neatly stacked and nothing was out of place. Nothing. At the register, the price came up as $39.99. I questioned this and the register employee said she would send someone to check it. My son and I headed over to where the product was waiting for an employee. Along comes Miss Smart Mouth Target Employee! Miss Smart Mouth Target Employee is literally yelling at us, as she's approaching, that the items were put in the wrong area and marked with the wrong price tag by The Vendor and it's not her fault. Excuse me?!? No greeting, no contact of any type prior to Miss Smart Mouth Target Employee approaching us with an attitude and a level of ignorance I've never seen at a retail level before. I pointed out to Miss Smart Mouth Target Employee that if this was the case, that being the items were placed under the wrong price tag, why was there 10-12 items neatly stacked and not 1-2 as is usually the case. Again she arrogantly advised me that it's not her fault or Target's fault but The Vendor put it there. Remember all this time, and throughout this whole ordeal, I have my 9YR old son with me who's absorbing this like a sponge. I asked her to stop pointing the finger at and blaming The Vendor for this error as it makes her look incompetent and unprofessional in her duties. Target, I advised Miss Smart Mouth Target Employee, is a representative and spokesperson for The Vendor, so her pointing the finger at and blaming The Vendor makes Target AND her look very unprofessional and quite pathetic. She continued with her [immature] rant, her miserable attitude. I decided to walk away as my son was clearly rattled and getting upset with the events. Approaching the Service desk, I asked another employee who the store manager was and could I speak with them. Miss Smart Mouth Target Employee's attitude needed to be addressed by a supervisor as Miss Smart Mouth Target Employee clearly had no business dealing with customers. The employee told me the store manager was not present today but could she be of assistance. Before I could get a single word out about the ordeal, along come Miss Smart Mouth Target Employee, from a distance and before she was near us, whistling the same tune about The Vendor placing the items in the wrong shelf with the wrong price tag. The other Target employee was clearly taken back by her demeanor and attitude. Several other customers within the vicinity were clearly uncomfortable with her loud presence and attitude. I decided to leave the store as I wasn't getting anywhere and my son by now was visibly upset and crying. As an employer of over 170 employees of a national business, I know a little about customer service. Miss Smart Mouth Target Employee should NOT be dealing with customers as she has neither the character or demeanor to do so. She is an embarrassment to the Target trading name. Period. Blaming your Vendor, the very people whos products you represent and keep you going in business is the epitome of an employee who is clueless to the task at hand AND ignorant. Miss Smart Mouth Target Employee has zero understanding of taking responsibility and clearly does not fathom or grasp the meaning of "customer service." A simple apology and explanation that the items were in the wrong area and incorrectly placed under wrong price tag would have been sufficient. No blaming anyone, no attitude and no one unwanted ignorance. Target strives to maintain a pleasant shopping experience and exceptional customer service. You have failed miserably in this instance as my experience was anything but that. I hope Miss Smart Mouth Target Employee AND Target feels well about leaving a little boy in tears after the ordeal and experience..... who ALSO said he never wants to go to ANY Target store ever again! This by far is my favorite location now. Not only did the staff help me run after my toddler, they were super friendly our entire visit. I usually never have any complaints anyway about Target but this location stood out for me. If you ask, they will also open the toys that you buy so your kids can have the toys at that moment! That is huge when you have screaming kids wanting to open the toy! I cant wait to go back and shop with awesome customer service! read more

Ok this is the local target for me and my family, here is what you get compared to Walmart both at Redmill Crowds: The Walmart located around 1 mile alway from the Target is always crowded. The crowd is eclectic but good all around folks, factor in fifteen minutes for check out. Ok we have all seen the crowds of Walmart on the net, you probably won't get that here, typical shoppers, nice people. Target crowd is more subdued but also great folks, factor in 1 minute for check out. Beer drinkers at Walmart, white wine at Target. Every Time I have been here no waiting, selves are stocked and the workers friendly. Round one goes to target. Prices: Walmart stuff is priced competitively. A lot of stuff from China, but it is cheap. Can get everything from a 70" TV to toilet paper, really cheap. Target is a bit more expensive, but the stuff here is slightly better quality and frankly more tasteful. Round two to Walmart, we can all save a buck or three. Parking: It is shear hell parking at Walmart. Period, period. Target parking lot is never crowded and the drivers are polite, probably thinking of the fine wine they had the night before. They will even stop and let you cross the street. Round three target Ambiance: Walmart is a generic Walmart. Good stuff, mostly, cheap. Target is a generic target. Round four and match to target, target generic is just nicer than walmart. But the prices at Walmart don't suck. read more

Target Online is a terrible experience. I ordered four shirts that all showed in stock. Said delivery by Friday January 4, 2019. Two days before ordered processed and then one item is canceled because of a pricing error. However, it is still listed as the same price I purchased at??? To this date it is still the same price. I inquire using their App Chat and email features. It took 4 days to get a reply that it was a technical glitch or out of stock. None of that seems correct since they still show in stock. Nevertheless, no effort to send it out and if I want to reorder it, I have to pay shipping since it is only one item not more than $35.00. However, I had ordered four shirts but this one was canceled due to what I believe as human error. You would think Target would make this right but not a chance! read more

I'm a regular Target shopper. This is definitely one of the best Targets in the Hampton Roads area. It doesn't get as ransacked by patrons as a lot of the others. It's always tidy and clean. The prices are competitive with Wally World, as always, and without the hassle of actually going to one of those god-for-saken stores. Bonus - the kids that work the Starbucks are as good baristas as any regular Starbucks locations, if not better! read more

I want to really like this Target, but I'm not completely and totally impressed. The store is clean, but don't always have what I'm looking for. I wish their food section was a little bigger. They don't have a deli or bakery so going their for any serious food shopping is a huge no. The one thing I can say is they carry my favorite trail mix and I can't seem to find it any other place. They have ample parking and friendly employees. I've been to other Target locations, that had a better clothes and product section, but this store rates a 7 out of 10. Not bad. read more

Located in Redmill, the location is not far from where I work. I occasionally make a stop here during my breaks to check out their clothing section. I sometimes find some good stuff on sale. I'm always been happy with this Target ~ I remember when it first opened in the Red Mill area. It was a very quiet section of stores and a few smaller stores did not last long in this little strip, but after some time (a few years) people slowly began shopping here. This Target is very comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is always good and no real issues at all, every time I shop here. I always have a pleasant experience. read more

I love Target. This place has everything, especially if you're a parent, because you can buy groceries for your kids, then possibly check out the bike section for exercise equipment, or even get a decent selection for christmas lights. I hate going from Farm Fresh to Costco to Kmart, instead just go to one store! The prices are cheap compared to other areas. My only problem is that this place gets packed, especially Saturdays. If you want a relaxed time to shop, you got to do it late at night, when they're as many people. Of course, since we all have either family, kids or work during the day, this isn't feasible. It can also be a pain to get out of this parking lot. There are too many ins and outs. So I can't give Target 5 stars, because it's not the most convienent place to shop, but it's good to only drive once to one store and get your stuff under a good price! So I give it 3 1/2 stars however Target rounds it up to 4. read more
