This store was one of the few places open at the time so we went inside to see what they had. Typical tourist gift shop with souvenir clothing, toys, beach apparel and toys, snacks, alcohol beverages etc. They're basically an all-in-one shop if you need anything from food to clothing! Of course everything has the tourist price tag though. My brother in law purchased a beach hat so he wouldn't burn up in the summer sun and that cost him a whopping $50. They definitely have some cute stuff but you'll be paying the tourist pricing for it! Cute shop though.

They also had some great sales going on -- 60% off all fall merch plus 25% off holiday items. I purchased an adorable sea green nutcracker holding a starfish and gift bags. It's way prettier than that description. I also purchased cat nap pajama pants, which I'm wearing right now. They're both comfortable and adorable. Convenient location, high-quality goods, and a delightful experience. I'd return and recommend this shop.

After a few visits to Lemon Cabana I can share with you what this particular Virginia Beach store does right, and why it should be a model for others to emulate. My daughter has been a fan of the Oceanfront store for a few years primarily due to their selection of OnU necklaces which are very hot with not only young ladies but adult women as well. We have purchased a few of them and enjoyed browsing the store. The location off Laskin is one block from the Oceanfront and Atlantic Ave. Parking in their rear lot is FREE and the store can be accessed by a rear entrance. Parking in front is by meter. The store's walk up in front and back has been clean and neat. The business is situated on a short strip with a couple other businesses. I love the 60's retro feel of the building. Lemon carries home decor, ladies beach fashion, books and lots of unique items that you can't easily find else where. They are well known for a fantastic selection of costume jewelry. The store may be smallish, but it's packed with goodies. The feel is fresh, bright and service immediately welcoming. On every occasion there has been one of the two-three ladies ask if they can assist with no pressure to purchase. Yesterday while visiting my daughter wanted to purchase a OnU necklace. The inventory was depleted as a shipment is due in soon. Chic instructed us to follow their Instagram page which would announce the arrival of the shipment. My daughter happen to be wearing her OnU necklace and had a stubborn knot in it. Chic offered to work on it while we got lunch. Upon returning an hour later the knot was out to a happy young lady. No charge, just a very nice smile from Chic and will see you soon. This is first class service. Thank you Chic and Lemmon Cabana.

After working in the luxury landscape for 38 years, being professional and polite comes with the territory and is second nature. She was neither polite, courteous nor well mannered. I will never return and ensure everyone I come in contact with is made aware of the lack of etiquette and brash behavior from the "fudge lady" on the pier! NASTY NASTY woman! Learn some manners!

Food, spots, holidays, babies, hobbies, Disney, etc. You name it, they probably have it. Very cute. I was blown away with what I had walked in to, I'd like to think of it as an upscale flea market. The store included specialized gifts, decor, jewelry, clothes, home goods, paintings, record albums, snacks, candles, plants, art...all under one roof. You name it, they have it. After walking around for over an hour looking at each vendor, I decided to buy my daughter a pair of socks (they have an abundance of awesome socks) and fun snacks. As I was checking out, the lady shared that they currently have over 270 vendors within the store and that they change often. Every time…read moreI've made a purchase, the cashiers have been very clear about the return policy -- items must be returned within 2 days, and anything marked final sale cannot be returned. I appreciate that they consistently explain the policy so customers know the rules upfront. This past weekend, I went shopping with my mom on Saturday. On Sunday she asked me to return a pair of earrings because the closure wasn't secure. I went back to the store with the item and the receipt about 15 minutes before closing. When I brought the item to the counter, the interaction started with some not-so-inviting remarks. I asked the associate helping me if there was an issue returning jewelry, and she said there wasn't but that she needed to check the receipt because of the strict policy. Before she even looked at my receipt, another employee with reddish hair stepped in and said they had to be careful because people "try to get over all the time." At that point, my receipt still hadn't even been reviewed. I firmly explained that my mom had asked me at the last minute to return the item and that I really didn't want to come back out, but because of their policy she wanted to make sure it was returned within the timeframe. The other employee responded sarcastically, saying, "Well, your mom is right." The associate who was originally helping me then completed the return without any issue. Afterward, I quickly checked out at one shop and headed out since the stores were closing. As I walked toward the door, I could hear the same employee loudly expressing her frustrations, and when she noticed me she immediately stopped and turned away. I completely understand why a business like this needs to have a strict return policy, and I respect that. However, the commentary and assumptions made during the process were unnecessary. A simple, professional interaction would have made the experience much more pleasant.
