It's a one-stop shop if you're looking to support a local business and purchase some beach-themed gifts near the oceanfront. They also had some great sales going on -- 60% off all fall merch plus 25% off holiday items. I purchased an adorable sea green nutcracker holding a starfish and gift bags. Owner of the store, pops, hilariously remakes, "Who dares call you on vacation?!" So I was looking to rent a tandem family bike for 6 (4 adults and 2 kids). While Cherie's are all over up and down the boardwalk, the one closest to the Neptune statue only had BROKEN bikes (aka surreys). A quick walk a block inland and I found this joint. They totally had what I was looking for - at the same price of $40 an hr but literally threw in 2 extra hours for free! So I got 1/3 price! We biked ALL the way from 33rd st to 5th st in the BLAZING summer sun. But it was a super fun ride w the kiddos. We were singing and hollering to keep the rhythm (much like dragonboat rowers). We grabbed lunch at Waterman's (very good!) which is why we needed the extra time. Plus the fact that we didn't go w Cherie's helped bc our surrey was green whereas everyone else's was red. Sometimes there is confusion with other Hilltop stores at the intersection so keep in mind there is signage. The Shops at Hilltop are located on the Southeast corner off the intersection of Laskin and First Colonial. All the shops are collectively known as The Shoppes of Hilltop. However, the break it down by East and West. Customers have one access point off First Colonial and three off Laskin. If there is a drawback it's the bottleneck on the First Colonial side during rush. I have never had an issue with parking. The lot can be a bit hit or miss on debris. They do have a few security guards that patrol. I have never felt unsafe. The stores I frequent the most are Fruitive, Fresh Market, Bottlecraft, Bakers Crust, Cobalt Grille, Tino and Nectar. A few more in between as there are a lot of stores. My family enjoy the Shoppes at Hilltop and I would recommend working them in your rotation. Many are local businesses which is more reason.
