There was no prior indication that the review hours had changed, and I explained that I had rushed to get there based on the hours I had been given. The clerk agreed to allow me to leave my items and briefly explained the process. When I asked her to repeat the explanation, I realized that leaving the clothes would automatically indicate that I accepted their offer. I was not comfortable with that, so I asked to wait instead, which I was allowed to do. My clothes were then piled together, and I was offered $56 for approximately $400 worth of clothing. I asked how many items they intended to keep and was told nine. I decided to decline the offer and thanked the clerk for her time. At that point, she picked up the clothes I had carefully folded and shoved them back into the bag. When I later counted the items, there were actually 13--not nine. The entire experience left me feeling that the process could have been handled much more professionally and transparently. Clear communication about the hours, a straightforward explanation of the process, accurate information about the number of items being accepted, and respectful handling of customers' belongings would have made a significant difference. I understand that a business is not obligated to make an offer that a customer considers satisfactory, but I do expect honesty, transparency, and professionalism throughout the process.

In case you aren't familiar this is a beach and surfer store with several locations around Hampton roads. They sell name brands like Vox and Roxy and have fashionable beach wear as well as surf wear and bathing suits. Shoes and surfboard gear. Sunglasses. Etc. If you're in the market for any of those things this spot in Red Mill commons is easier to access with more parking than the oceanfront ones.

After getting a few looks of their clothes..I decided to see what else they had. When I walked in the smell of their store is AMAZING! I thought it was a perfume...but its not! They use some kind of filter to make their store smell the way it does! They had some cute dresses, outfits, accessories...Decent quality. They are kinda pricey though...for example...a dress was around $86...I had asked the girl if they were gonna have any upcoming sales, because by that time I had to leave for the spa...and didn't have any additional time to look any longer. She had told me that the next weekend they were having a pretty decent sale. So I had made not of that! The following weekend...I made it a point to roll through and try to get some dresses for my vacay. I had to bring my one year old...who unfortunately HATES sitting in a stroller. So I knew once I walked in there I had to be fast. I don't even bother with trying to purchase at a large Pandora location; this jeweler has every charm I have ever wanted--including the "VB Strong" charm. When I received it after the repair it was the length of a bracelet. It was a 16-18 in. necklace. It is ruined. The second necklace was supposed to be shortened. It wasn't. I was charged $50 for each repair. I am left with a ruined necklace and a necklace the same length it was before it was "shortened". Avoid this business. Any other jewelry repair would have to be better than this.
