Upon paying, I was told that because I purchased from the "sales racks & that the clothing was almost free, I didn't deserve a bag as they (the bags) were too expensive for discounted clothing" It was pouring rain outside. If I hadn't already paid, I would have left the clothing and walked out. I'm a business consultant- I am fully aware that those sale pieces were written off in 2018 taxes. So, they were written off as a business loss, then discounted and sold in 2019. Not exactly FREE, and the owner had the tax write off. The bags are also a tax deduction. I will NEVER return. I hope the $2 bag is worth the bad press. I'll never understand the incompetence of some business owners. I've purchased $800 shoes for $50 at Nordstrom's and THEY give ME a bag. Such foolish business practices. Treat your store like a garage sale & you'll attract garage sale customers.

My daughter's walked in behind me then this women looked at them, rolled her eyes and turned away. Initially, the price offered was very low, despite the business taking 50% of the sale. After some discussion, I agreed, trusting her because I was a frequent shopper at her shop. When signing, I asked if we should write down the details, but she said, "We talked about it, it's fine." We signed a 90-day contract--if it didn't sell, she'd contact me to decide next steps. After 90 days, I visited her shop. She seemed surprised and became aggravated when I started asking questions about the item because the things she was saying weren't adding up. I reminded her of the agreed terms, but she denied we had agreed. When she asked if I had proof, I realized I did not, which showed her true colors. She completely took advantage of me because she knew it was my first time reselling an item not knowing much about it. Seeing this, I chose to stop arguing. She had taken advantage of my trust. I decided to handle things properly and requested my payment. However, she kept delaying payment until I filed a complaint with the BBB and considered legal action. Only then did she finally pay. I do not recommend this business based on my experience. If I would've known it was going to be such a hassle because she was being difficult, I would've never even sold it at all. After all to me it wasn't even about the money it was more about the dissatisfaction and disappointment I had with her breaking the trust of a client who's gone for years. I can't imagine what else she's done to other clients of hers who have no idea of what's really going on...

I was there during a sidewalk sale, and they had $2 costume jewelry out front; a seasonal red/white/blue display, and vintage purses / hats in addition to jewelry. Jewelry is arranged by type; there's a large selection of pearls; dozens of cameos; and, when I was there, a large display of Bakelite and other vintage plastic bangles (with a magazine article on how not all vintage plastic jewelry is Bakelite). Some southwest/turquoise; a bunch of diamonds; lots of colored stones; and even some enamel pieces. If you don't see what you're looking for, ask; I wanted to see amber and they brought out a bunch, and they also had additional mourning jewelry in the back. The people serving me were very helpful, finding bracelets in my size, helping with tricky catches, etc. and they knew their stuff (what era jewelry was from; no, we don't have jet but we have bog oak...). Several customers were obviously regulars; one approached me out of nowhere to tell me how good the staff were to deal with. Prices are very reasonable; I was very pleased with the vast selection, spent less on a couple of pieces than I expected, and went home with some treasures. This is on the main street right next to the Catlow theater; there is street parking and 1 hour and 3 hour unmetered parking a block away at the Jewel.
