Been here a handful of times- and the food is EXCELLENT each time. I got the crispy chicken Sammie, that chicken was HUGE. Crispy & juicy, so yummy. The bread/bun I think is a sourdough bun, sooo good. The onion rings, so yummy & crispy. We were sat right away, and our waitress was kind & attentive. Service was great! We were on the way to the coast and needed lunch. Great location right before you get into town. Friendly and attentive staff. Big place with a few tvs. Full bar. I had a delicious margarita on Wednesday for the $5 Monday price. Wednesday was $1 wings, which is the wife's favorite. We split a house salad that was huge. I got chicken fingers which turned out to be almost 3 breasts of fried chicken. Everything good. Prices not too high. Oh and excellent homemade onion rings. We will remember this place. read more

Have been wanting to go here for a while based on the FB posts and pics I've seen. Overall, 6/10. The food was okay but nothing amazing. I had the ribeye sandwich which was good but lacked flavor. The meat was tender but it could have used some more seasoning. My wife had the wings and they were okay but Wingstop is better. The wings were pretty big in size but for 22.00 I wouldn't get them again. Glad we went but probably wouldn't make the drive out again. read more

Had lunch here on a Saturday. Business was steady. Our waitress was excellent. The food was great. I ordered a Caesar salad with a petite salmon and then we shared onion rings and fried pickles. The onion rings had a thin, savory batter. They were pretty good. we got half an order between three of us. The fried pickles were good too. The Caesar salad was typical Caesar salad. It was a good portion. The petite salmon was a good size for me. We all ordered ranch waters for our drink. This is an AMAZING restaurant! You can't find any place that offeres the large portions and extreme quality for the price like this. Hope your hungry when you arrive. Prepare room for the chocolate brownie dessert, delicious! The little merchandise setup is adorable and offers cups, jewelry and perfect gift ideas for Mothers day. I couldn't resist some of the earrings. As far as the service goes, they have some of the nicest wait staff. They are extremely helpful and friendly. Oh, and Aunt Casey who is only visiting till.... (May or June????) really makes the kids smile. I can't say enough about this place. I highly recommend checking it out especially if you like margaritas. I have driven by this restaurant and few times and the parking lot is always packed. On a Saturday night, a group of us decided to give this place a try for dinner. The restaurant has a great casual vibe and they had live music on the night we were there. Our server was a sweet girl and took great care of our group of 6. We started off with appetizers of fried pickles and onion rings (no dieters here ) For dinner, I ordered the Pepper Steak. Yum!! The perfect mix of beef, cheese and jalapeños. My husband ordered the Milanesa which I thought was a little dry but still had good flavor. I will definitely make this a go-to place for a great meal. Delish food. Good service. We make it a point to take our visitors to enjoy. My favorite is the parm flounder. Mushrooms a are great. We have only had one incident where they and the onion rings that we ordered were incredibly salty. We had ordered three and only one was taken off of the check, even though we returned them all. None less we went back and it didn't happen again, but we did feel like as often as we go. We deserved them to reduce the tab. I usually don't write comments like this, but after spending $96 plus giving the waitress a very large tip ... I will tell my story. My son and I went in on a late Sunday afternoon early evening. There were three tables that had people at them and two guys at the bar drinking. My son and I both ordered the $38 steak. I got the mashed potatoes. He got asparagus and sweet potato fries. After waiting an hour ... and we weren't drinking alcoholic beverages, she finally brings our food out. The steak is cold. Asparagus is cold and the potatoes are cold. Stopped in for lunch. Service was excellent atmosphere very nice very clean and the food was very very good. I had the chef salad. I love that. It was spring mix not iceberg lettuce. Everything in it was fresh and very delicious. Lots of bacon! Hubby was very excited when she asked him how he wanted his burger cooked. That is so rare to be asked how a burger should be cooked. He was very pleased because he likes his rare. He also liked the bun. It's not a typical hamburger bun. It was lightly toasted, and his burger was cooked to perfection. Lunch was very very good. I want to recant my earlier negative rating about their poor slow service. We did go back last night and their service and food was excellent. We had the monthly chefs special of "deep fried baby back ribs"....oh my they were ssssooooo good. The flavor and cook on the ribs were tops. We will be back and with friends. read more

It was not what I expected at all, there was no sign out front to distinguish this business, which was odd, I believe it's been there for awhile... Ordering was easy and the gals there were very nice. I did not like the coffee, (neither did my friend) it had a burnt taste and just wasn't my favorite. I ordered the quiche, it was ok, a little doughy tasting but ok. The room we sat in was freezing and dark, someone finally came in and turned the lights on and eventually turned the heat up (after one of the patrons got a blanket out). We had a meetup with friends that were in town for a funeral. The Solis brothers were playing this particular night. They were great and really helped to level up our meet up. From the moment we walked into the door and until we left, customer service was absolutely top notch. We were checked on multiple times and they would always accommodate additional friends that trickled in throughout the night. Clint was a fantastic host, as well, and wore many hats- photographer, drink deliverer and appetizer suggestor. He made our night be something we'll remember forever. We will DEFINITELY be back. We had a variety of appetizers and they were delicious. Drinks are also excellent with a wide variety of drink selections. We stopped by from the city after visiting Devine farms. Let me just say, we had an outstanding experience. Our server was very friendly, communicative, on top of it, and just recommended the most amazing items on the menu. What a sales girl she was, miss Starlet! We had the queso with beef appetizers, and another. We had our entrees, and she even talked us into shots, Mexican candy and green tea. The atmosphere was very clean, and busy. My wife and I stopped by the Black Creek bar and grill on the recommendation of a friend. I've got to admit that finding a place like this in Devine was a surprise. Inside Black Creek is really nice, very country looking and I guess it should, after all this is the country. They have a full bar and the waitress mentioned that they have live music on the weekends. If I were a few, okay a lot of years younger this could possibly be my hangout on a Saturday night. But since I'm not, let's talk about a Friday lunch. I had the fried chicken Sammie and it was really tasty. The chicken sandwich was huge, at least the size of a medium chicken breast between a hamburger bun with fresh tomatoes and pickles. I did have to ask for additional mayonnaise for the top bun but the sandwich was delicious. The chicken was very juicy and fried very well. My wife had the 4 piece Parmesan chicken tenders. I'm guessing she was thinking these would be Bill Miller size chicken tenders but boy was she wrong. Each chicken tender was the size of half a chicken breast, She could only eat one so we took the other three home. We had the pimento cheese, bacon jam, Mato tomato cowboy candy, crackers for an appetizer and OMG! That bacon jam was so incredible, the pimento cheese was also awesome. My wife and I will definitely be back. Here's a little side note, and it's not specific to Black Creek. Just before we were leaving, a truck pulled up and parked over the wheelchair ramp. My wife is in a wheelchair and thats her only way in and out of any facility. Please, think about others when you park, I know most people get around on two legs, but some people need four wheels. read more

We were bragging how good the ribeyes are but today's not so much, they had more Geisel and tendons normally found in a lower graded meat.
