Older Lady was working front counter,Taking orders at the drive thru window and cooking the meals for the customers while a young lady and young man stood around. This place is one of my favorite burger joints south of San Antone. I make it a point to eat here every chance Im driving back from SA heading south. The burger is made fresh and all the fixins are fresh and crisp. The service is decent and friendly for a small town and the place is kept clean. Dont miss this hidden gem. I got the regular burger with cheese and bacon added. The burger was tasty but not mind blowing. Their onion rings on the other hand were amazing! My husband got the fries and I didn't try but they didn't look like anything to write home about. My only "beef" is that they have Pepsi instead of Coke. Very un Texan! read more

Unapologetically burgers. Nothing special about it really but if you're in the mood for fast food this will do the trick. Don't order the sweet potato fries, they only give you like a dozen of them. Also they got our orders wrong, but it was still decent so not a huge deal. All in all it was basically an off-brand Whataburger. read more

We've been wanting to try Billy Bob's for awhile now and after reading reviews from years ago, we figured with all the different good and bad reviews we would try it for ourselves. We order just a regular burger through the drive thru, which we didn't wait long. Everything came out hot. We order the combo with fries and a side of onion rings. The fries are the thick crinkle cut and agree with the other reviews that they are nothing special. The onions rings were great! The burger had everything that we asked for with no mistakes, and they were generous when it came to the mayonnaise on our burger. We agreed that it almost taste like a Dairy Queen burger. Overall I think that the experience was great and I wouldn't mind eating here again. read more

After hearing all the buzz about Billy Bob's opening in Devine I had to give it a try. As soon as I walked in I was surprised at how big and spacious the building was. The walls were filled with western, cowboy, themed decorations and there was a mix of regular tables and picnic tables in the seating area. I got in line and they quickly took my order: a Heart Attack Burger with Jalapeños, Bacon, fries and a large sweet tea. In a matter of minutes I received my food I was surprised at the size of this quadruple cheeseburger. It did not disappoint the flavor was great until I got about half way done and I realized they didn't put any bacon on it nonetheless I finished it. Coming from a background in fast food the fries did not impress me at all, nothing special. Final thoughts: the tea was good, the atmosphere was great, nice clean spacious building, friendly staff and good food I will be giving them a try again. read more

This place sucked. They couldn't get an order right to save their lives. Went on a very slow night hardly anyone in the place. Ordered the avocado burger without mayo, mustard or ketchup. It had all of the above and missing avocado. It was taken back. When I received the replacement and checked to insure it was correct you could definitely tell all that was done was taken back and all condiments were scraped off and avocado was added along with more ketchup. Really hungry on our way back home from Eagle Pass, Texas, I checked google for places to eat in Devine. Billy Bob's had a 4 star rating so we pulled off the freeway to check it out. We ordered the BB Special and opted for the fried onions rings as a sub for french fries. What a disappointment. You need a magnifying glass to find the very very skinny dry meat patty. The bun was cold. One tiny lettuce leaf - a little onion, one pickle, and maybe 1/8 spoonful of mayo and mustard. The onions were the best thing on the plate. Greasy - but tasty. The young waitress was friendly and accommodating. She asked several times if we were OK. We did not complain. But our motto is....."been there..done that". We should have gone on down the road to a tried and true Whataburger. On a more positive note - the restaurant is clean and comfortable. However that does not make up for the quality of the food. read more
