    Amazing Vegan Stuffed French Toast
    Terry M.

Dinner of my brother's choice! We have always come here for breakfast but never lunch or "dinner" I ordered breakfast and a BLT to go (vegan on both) I tried the new (to me) Stuffed French Toast. It's Vegan eggs, Vegan Mozz (Selfish cow brand) and Vegan sausage inside French Toast and it comes with Butter and syrup. WOW. fantastic! I told our wonderful as usual server Amber to make sure they keep this one on the menu and to remind me next time I am in, this is what I want to order, it was PHENEMOMAL My brother ordered the classic breakfast (Non Vegan eggs, sausage, hashbrowns) and loved it. We just love this place and Amber is always a delight to see and talk to. Its always clean, comfortable, we always end up in our favorite booth, I might ask if they can just rename the booth--Terry's booth. :P I have not tried the BLT yet but it looks so good and I am sure it won't disappoint! Wow--Just amazing, if you have not been here, They have non vegan food as evidenced by my brother and they have amazing Vegan breakfast and lunch dishes! You won't leave hungry. Till the die rolls this way again.... The Dice man

We Tried Black and Blue Diner this morning right when they opened, and it did not disappoint. This place has been on our bucket list for sometime now and we are so happy we finally got try them. We actually had the place to ourselves at first, but it quickly filled up--which makes sense because it's clearly a local favorite with lots of regulars coming in. We ordered the Jackpot Deluxe Breakfast and the chilaquiles, and both were great choices. I asked for extra crispy bacon and most places disappoint me as they don't know what extra crispy is but this place nailed it!!!! It was so good. The eggs, diner potatoes and bacon were great. Pancakes which we shared were also delicious. The chilaquiles were outstanding according to my fiancé. They give you the option of red or green sauce or the option for half and half which is what he chose. The salsa verde was good and the right blend of tomatillos, green chiles and everything else. It was not overly spicy but just the right amount of kick to let you know there was some heat in there. The salsa Roja was smoky and flavorful as well. It complimented everything else. The steak was juicy, seasoned to perfection however it was slightly overcooked but it was so good my fiancé didn't realize it until he was almost done eating it. lol. He didn't even use any cholula because he said it was that good, but if you want an extra kick, It is there on the table if you need it. They do not skimp on the ingredients as even the coffee was the brand chock full o' nuts Everything tasted fresh, and the portions were solid--definitely a satisfying start to the day. The menu is surprisingly extensive with tons of options, including a great gluten-friendly section and plenty of choices for vegan guests. It really feels like there's something for everyone here. The service really stood out. Our server Amber was awesome--super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and the rewards program which we signed up for just off her recommendation and knowledge alone. She even recommended her personal favorites which made ordering easy. The diner itself is not super huge but if you go there early enough, you may avoid the crowds, but let's face it, the ambiance is apart of the experience as well. It's bright, clean, and welcoming. Overall, this is a great spot whether you're a regular or just passing through. This place is a 10/10, we highly recommend and We'll 100% be back. Next time we will take the opportunity to look around a little more at the decor, accolades and magazine articles they have been featured in. We were nervous first timers but Amber made us feel right at home.

So many great plant based options! I've never found a diner in town that I can get a full breakfast/lunch with classic options but vegan. Fast, friendly service. I had an omelet and hash browns and side of sourdough toast. It was so good and a lot of food. Pretty reasonably priced. Will be back to so of the other great breakfast and lunch options.

Rosies are blue. Black is the new red. A server named Amber. And a wide variety of vegan options for you.

A place with options. A quick decision directed us to the Black and Blue diner. With a very attentive staff we were seated immediately. The breakfast was tasty with even vegan options to choose from. So, if you ask if anybody is there. A traveler would know to stop at the most unsuspecting places, as the house is filled inside for a yahoo experience and a server with a genuine smile.

Went here with a friend for breakfast and it was disappointing. I ordered the pastrami swirl reuben with onion rings, and my friend ordered steak and eggs. The onion rings were great. They were crispy, and well seasoned. The pastrami was okay. The steak's texture and flavor were off. The coffee was weak, which was a letdown for a breakfast spot. The service, though, was good and the prices were reasonable. Overall, the experience was underwhelming.

Came to Black and Blue Diner expecting a vibe... and yeah, I got one. Not sure if it was "retro diner chic" or "this place has seen some things," but either way, it definitely has character The food was actually pretty decent--nothing life-changing, but it hit the spot. Like, if you're hungry and questioning your life choices at the same time, this place understands you. Portions were solid, flavors were there, no complaints on that front. Now let's talk about the ambiance... it's a little... seasoned. You ever walk into a place and feel like the walls could tell stories? Yeah, that. It's got that slightly run-down, rough-around-the-edges look, but hey, adds to the experience I guess. Keeps you humble. Service though? Surprisingly quick. Like, blink and your food's already on the table. No time to overthink your order or your surroundings. Overall: good food, fast service, and an atmosphere that builds character. Would I come back? Yeah... just maybe not on a first date unless you're really trying to test them.

I've had this place bookmarked for a while. We came here a little after 11am on a Saturday and it was prob the wrong timing. We were one of the last to be seated after their morning rush so it took over 30 min to get our food. It's a really good diner and they offer some unique items. It's small inside and a little bit icky. The booth we were in had seen much better days. My husband got their chilaquiles and grits. I got their chicken Caesar salad sandwich. We were content with our food and our server was pleasant. I wanted to order one of their cakes but they were all out. They have a nice selection dessert options. The parking seems limited, but there is plenty parking in the back.

Been a spell but man am I glad this place is still here. The best breakfast in Vegas, it's not even close. You can get literally anything breakfast here. Waffles, hash browns, eggs, toast, you name it, it's here. Vegan and regular a like! Service is always stellar and this is thr definition of small town diner. Seriously cannot recommend this place enough.

The vegan omelette is SO GOOD. I think Black & Blue Diner has the BEST vegan omelette I've ever had. Stopped by Black & Blue Diner during our roadtrip from California to Utah and we had our dog with us. It was HOT outside so we couldn't leave her in the car alone but we called ahead and asked if the diner had any outdoor seating (which they do not) but after confirming our dog is super well-behaved and doesn't bark, they saved a corner table for us to sit inside the diner with her and even gave us a water bowl for our dog. The staff is super friendly. The food is delicious. There's a nice big parking lot. And although not fully vegan, they have a large vegan menu. Will definitely be back the next time we're in Vegas!

I worked in NYC for years and one of my favorite breakfast items was the fried egg & cheese on a hard roll. However, I have found it nearly impossible to locate a similar sandwich on the west coast. When I saw the menu for Black & Blue Diner included a NY style breakfast sandwich, plus a ton of vegetarian/vegan options I had to go. I ordered the NY breakfast sandwich with vegan "bacon," and diner potatoes. Absolute perfection! Damian, our server was friendly and pleasant. The blue decor has a calming effect. Can't wait to try more of the menu items.

If you grew up going to diners on the weekends as a treat for the week, this spot is for you! They have your typical diner food and a vegan menu as well. The whole family can eat good! Food - I tried a Vegan Secret Menu item - California Omelet . The smokiness from the THRILLING! Bakon bits were so good. The omelet was fluffy and the vegan mozzarella was melty and gooey. You get a ton of food too, so I was able to eat off of it twice. 5/5 stars Drinks - I got a standard cup of coffee with oat milk. It was solid. 4/5 stars Decor - It was black and blue throughout and a standard diner setup with table and booth options. It felt like a a true neighborhood diner. Overall, from the food and the service from the staff, I give this spot a 5/5 stars . Can't wait to go back!

I didn't know this while I was dining, but I wasn't surprised to find out later that this spot is ranked among the top 10 best vegan restaurants in the country! Everything from the ambiance to the service to the food was top-tier. Our waiter greeted us warmly and seated us relatively quickly despite the restaurant being packed. Once we were settled, he gave us a great overview of the menu: everything is plant-based, they use high-quality ingredients, and they even avoid seed oils due to their link to inflammation. They also have a full gluten-free menu available for those with further dietary restrictions. The menu itself is phenomenal, featuring a large variety of Italian dishes and a brunch menu with pancakes. We ordered the Mascarpone Pancakes and the Ultimate Margherita Pizza. I genuinely would not have been able to tell these were vegan. The pizza was INCREDIBLE--tasting just as good as, if not better than, any "traditional" pizza I've ever had. I would come back regularly just for that pizza alone. The portions were quite large, so we didn't have room this time, but I'd love to come back to try the vegan cheesecake or tiramisu. I also had a chance to speak with the owner, who was incredibly friendly. She mentioned they are hoping to open more locations soon. I'm praying they open one in Texas! Until then, I'll just have to visit Vegas more often

Since it was our first time, they gave us a chance to look over the menu and ask questions. They were very accommodating to our requests for substitutions and even recooked our French fries to make them softer. My son and I shared the Salami sandwich with fries and I also got the southern fried oyster mushrooms with a Housemade dragonfruit lemonade. My son despises any vegan cheese or vegan mayo and he tore this sandwich UP! He even added extra mayo on his half of the sandwich. The olive jalapeño tapenade was tasty and really pulled the sandwich together but it was slightly spicy so careful to those who are sensitive to spice. The southern seasoned oyster mushrooms were so flavorful. The batter was light and crispy, the mushrooms were sliced thick and not too thin. One of the best I've ever had. The lemonade was okay. I've spent every birthday, some holidays, date nights, and random dinner outings at this restaurant. Out of all the times I've been here. I probably had three not so great experiences which isn't bad because I've been here a lot. But I'm pretty disappointed at this last visit. The scallopini Parmesan was DELICIOUS as well as the side of grilled artichokes. But it was extremely small. The drinks were decent. The charred leeks appetizer is NOT at all what you would think. There were four tiny, sliced leeks and four small pieces of grapefruit, which isn't even mentioned on the menu nor do I like. It was served cold, which also threw me off. Not a good appetizer and not in any way shape or form worth $18. We also got the leaks and risotto side. The risotto was not cooked thoroughly and was hard. It's laid out on the plate to make it look like a decent amount but yet again a very small small portion, especially for the price. I should've stuck with the basics. The zucchini blossoms the cigars and the scallopini Parmesan are probably the best things on the menu and consistently good. I get excited to try new things, but it seems to just end up being disappointing lately. There was also finally a new dessert which was a Matcha cake, but of course it was out. Probably for the best since all the new stuff seems to be a thumbs down this season. Our server was super nice though, and staff was very attentive as far as setting down new plates and clearing finished ones. Little things like that are appreciated. And I don't think they ever let our water glass get empty. I usually like to sit further back inside the restaurant but we sat in the very front by the rail this time which was a nice change and got to do some "people watching". It's a more casual feel area. Side note-I'm not sure what's going on with the lack of uniform for the hostesses, but it's not a very classy look for such a nice restaurant

It has tasty garbanzo beans, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, red onion, vegenaise and green spring mix served on a toasted ciabatta roll. The sandwich roll is slightly crunchy. I also got a potato salad ($9) as an a la carte, it's yummy! They have a NoTurkey Pasta salad as well and it's good! It has bowtie pasta, green peas, and crumbles of NoTurkey in a creamy sauce. Their housemade Rosemary Lemonade is refreshing! It pairs wonderfully with a delightful chocolate chip cookie, and the cookies are housemade and amazing! Service from Alecia is welcoming and friendly. The owner checked in to see how everything was and it's great! They have a loyalty card where you get a free sandwich after 10 stamps.

One of the conferences that I was attending had a vendor hosted event at the CHICA restaurant…read moreinside the Venetian. I only had some tapas that evening. it was great though! The first thing I noticed was just how packed the entire Venetian area was that night! Apparently No Doubt was in town performing at Sphere, and since the Venetian parking garage is basically right next door, the whole resort had a ton of energy and nonstop foot traffic. It was definitely busy! CHICA had a really fun atmosphere. The restaurant itself feels stylish and upscale without being overly formal. The décor had this vibrant inspired energy with music, lighting, and a social vibe that works really well for group dinners or events! Since it was catered for the event, I only tried a selection of tapas, but everything I had was really good! All of the food was flavorful, well presented, and easy to share while mingling! I really enjoyed the experience! Between the Vegas energy from the Sphere crowd, the lively atmosphere inside CHICA, and the solid food, it ended up being a really fun evening during the conference trip! Definitely somewhere I'd consider coming back to for a full dinner next time I'm on the Strip.

SO GOOD! Favorite spot of the day , hands down. What a great way to end our day trip to Vegas!…read more We started with two appetizers which were more on an amuse bouche. Small in size but packed with flavor. The Himachi? We could've eaten ten of them. Deeeelicious. The main course came out while I stepped away for a few minutes so I missed the fire show, but got to see it when another table got it later. The taste of the beef was absolutely amazing and loved the accrucements that accompanied it as well. We ended our meal with an almost missed Tres Leches. (Silly me didn't ask for the dessert menu, almost had grounds for being left in Las Vegas!). I'm so glad we circled back and got it, cause it was fan freakin tastic Service also was amazing - our server was so patient and kind
