Even though it was close to closing time, the service was friendly, and we never felt rushed. The Brussels sprouts were good, but I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce. I think it may have been a hot honey sauce, and since I'm not usually into spicy foods, it had a little more kick than I prefer. They were still cooked well, just not quite my favorite flavor. We ordered 2 of The Forager Burgers, the Billionaire Burger, sweet potato fries, regular fries and the cookies and cream milk shake. 1st mistake was that the burgers were not hot or warm. But we continue to eat because they were tasty. The Forager burger comes with a fried egg but on one of the burgers the egg was way too raw and caused my mother to almost throw up and she lost her appetite. They only discounted it. The Nom Nom burger and forger burger were absolutely delicious. The forger burger had an egg that just popped and all the right ways. It made the burger, moist and wet and soppy. Great for the fries. We came to the restaurant about 2:30 in the afternoon. There was parking right in front, but you have to pay for parking on the weekends. We were seated right away in a nice booth. We were served our glasses of water immediately and the waiter came over to ask us if we had any questions. He did a great job on describing some of the favorites on the menu. He came back quickly and described the burgers, and we ordered a French onion burger, and a side of fries. The burger was $23 and the fries were nine dollars more than enough for two people to share. After having a, ummm, challenging Caesar Salad and burger elsewhere in Vegas the day before, I wanted a redo. Holsteins was that redo, thank goodness, because they delivered. I walked up at around, say, 5:20 p.m. and was eating a Caesar Salad by 5:30 p.m. and a burger by 5:40 p.m. The Caesar looked, and was, delicious but a touch underdressed for my taste. I asked for some extra dressing and someone brought it out a minute later. The Nom Nom burger was a feat of engineering. The potato chips that came on it were thicker and fried crisp to allow them to stay strong in their role as a topping. The burger itself was cooked right to medium rare as asked, and the bun it was on was a good one. Needed a place for lunch after landing and it popped up first in my searches and wow! Massively impressed. I got here just as they opened so there was only myself and one other party. The staff made you feel welcomed as soon as you stepped inside. I ordered the Hawaiian Pineapple Necktie and its a nice blend of pineapple and orange curacao that refreshes the palate ahead of the heavier burger that followed. I got the Gold Standard. This burger means business and you underhand why Holsteins has the reputation for some of the best burgers. The ingredients while simple are not simple. The patty was nicely seasoned with perfect medium temperature. I got the subtle tang of the goat cheese and arugula, but what really sings is the tomato confit. They roast the tomatoes before searing it on the flattop and the roasted flavor really comes through to the point that you could put that by itself in a bowl and you'd be content. The sweet potato fries and the housemade ketchup is light sweet with a hint of heat. Wonderful spot I'll no doubt put on my rotation to visit again once I am in town! read more

The location itself is very nice, on Main Street with a lovely decor. We were greeted by a friendly hostess, and seated promptly. Our server greeted us with menus and got us water right away. They have an excellent drink selection, and full bar, but this being a lunch break, we kept it at just water. They have sparkling, bottled or "house" water. We did house and it was good, served in nice little cocktail glasses. The menu is almost entirely burgers, with some appetizerish items as well, a couple entree options, a couple salads, and some shakes too. I had the Nom Nom burger which consists of a beef patty, potato chips, thousand island, and cheese. It was cooked perfectly, everything tasted fresh and it was delicious. Fries are not included with the burgers and are a pricey add-on, hence 4/5 stars from me, but the flavors didn't miss in the onion rings with chipotle ranch I ordered. So probably worth the extra and the portions are excellent albeit pricier than other burger options I've had. All told my burger & onion rings set me back $31 + tip, but the service, decor, ambience, flavors and food quality were top notch and I left feeling like my money was well spent on a delightful meal with friends. 10/10 I would recommend Holsteins to anyone. read more

Quick backstory... it originally made its name inside The Cosmopolitan, where it became known for gourmet burgers and those famous boozy milkshakes. It closed there in 2024 and moved downtown... but it's still priced like a Strip restaurant. My friend ordered the Gold Standard burger and that was the highlight. It was really good and exactly what this place is known for. I went with the steak salad... flavor was good, but the quality of the steak didn't match what I paid. It has kind of a bar vibe. They'll fire up vegetable blend in a fryer for vegetarians and vegans and you can sub a veggie patty on any burger. I like that it's black bean too, everyone has impossible or beyond meat now, nice change of pace. My fave is the rising sun burger, the Asian flavors on a burger are so good! My daughter loves the yum yum burger which is pretty classic American burger but with potato chips. Cheese curds are good they serve with a creamy tomato sauce; surprising but tasty. That was a standout burger. The French onion soup burger delivered on the flavor, and held together shockingly well for how easily it could have ended up being a soupy mess. The bun will get your hands extra dirty with the cheese melted on top, but it's 100% worth it. It's got a good blend of textures, the right bun to meat ratio, the sauce isn't too heavy or overpowering and the dip finishes the full effect of flavor. We were starving and in the area, so we stopped in at Holstein's for happy hour. Their "happiest meal" is a great deal. For $16, you can enjoy a 7 oz cheeseburger, fries, and drink (including beer). Between us we had the BBQ Green Chili Burger, a Rising Sun Burger, Sweet Potato Fries, and Onion Rings. The burgers are large and I took 1/2 of mine home but my husband ate all of his. What a great spot for HH. I had a court around the corner and what better way to celebrate a WIN with HH at Holsteins. I've dined at the original location at Cosmopolitan Hotel and so happy that they are in Downtown instead. I've passed by here multiple times and finally gave them a try. Easy parking on the street and its a pretty good sized restaurant and we sat in the booth. Sierra was our server and she was absolutely great. Attentive and friendly. Shes an asset to the restaurant.
