I came here twice. The first time, I got there about 5 pm and there was no one in there. Since it was my first tim, I took a bit of time to check out the menu and didn't feel like I was bothering anyone since there were no other customers in there. but the girl at the counter seemed immediately annoyed and rushed me and told me I'd have to order to-go because she was closing soon. On the menu the hours said they closed at 6 and I was there an hour before closing. So what ever, maybe she had to leave early. So I ordered and she made it seem like I was asking her to go out of her way to do something. Wtf, it's your job!!! So me and my son went to my car and ate in the car right in front of the store. Even by the time we finished eating, the store was still open. I feel like she was lazy and just didn't feel like cleaning up after us or something. The second time I went, the lady was rude again. And again this one acted like I was forcing her to do something she didn't want to. I even tried to make jokes or have small talk but these people are ridiculously miserable and have no customer service skills at all. Neither of the times that I went was I greeted. Neither of the times did I ever see a smile from the workers. These people are very unwelcoming and make me feel like I'm burdening them. I'm too scared to even ask for anything extra. Also, both times I ordered the avocado turkey sub and they were good, except it was more like a veggie sub because they had little to no meat in there. read more

The two stars is for the bread which was tasty. The rest of the sandwich was below average. First of all, they barely put any meat on the sandwiches and the roast beef is really fatty. Second, the hot sandwiches are microwaved, not grilled or toasted. I stopped by because I saw the deal they were having for 2 foot longs for $11, and noticed it looked like a privately owned place, which I always like to support. I started going to the bk off tippecanoe probably 10 years ago when I stumbled upon it on a break from class at AI. I've been a fan ever since. I now work in Redlands and was happy to see this location while I was actually on my way to subway (yuck). I almost always get the classic bk sub and almost always use their coupons they put on every brown bag. I have a couple of people in my office hooked on them now too. And for those of you complaining about the 75¢ charge for card...get over it! Have you seen the prices at bk?!? Try getting their quality over at flash freeze subway and see if you're as satisfied. I can get a foot long bk sub with everything on it for just over $5. They don't chintz you on the meat and cheese either guys. They hook it up. And how they stay in business with their prices is pretty impressive. So, 75¢ is nothing. It costs them money to allow you the convenience to use your card at all. If you're going to complain about that, try getting a better deal at jersey mikes, subway or savarinos. I promise you won't walk out spending less than $10. read more

This place is a wonderful place to have a nice refreshing sandwich . It is so much better than subway, seriously!!! I personally love the turkey avocado and they give you plenty of meat and avocado for the price! Other places would be stingy and barely give you any. Usually when you walk into this place you can see how miserable all the employees are. But today was the worst ever. Walked in at 12:55 on a Saturday afternoon and the woman behind the counter yelled "I'm closing in 5 minutes!" She let us begin to order, but kept making angry grunts, walked away twice into the back while my father was mid sentence, slammed things, and was literally stomping her feet and yelling. It was clear how angry she was that we were there, so much so that we just said "Forget it" and walked out. Got much better service next door at Flame Broiler. read more

I've been coming here for a while now and I don't think anyone beats their quality of food for the price. My favorite is the avocado ham and cheese sandwich. The sandwich comes on a soft roll but if you're into the crunchy feeling they can toast it for you if you'd like. I also love that they use real avocado - not that thin spread that barely give you the avocado flavor that many other delis use. Great place to stop and get a quick sammich that tastes way better than subway. The sodas always taste good...they're never flat. The workers aren't all too friendly, but it's no big deal. It's not like I'm going in to get a pep talk. They do their work, but they don't try to really connect with the customers. I was so excited to learn there was a BK subs down the street from where I lived. Normally I would drive to Loma Linda which isn't too far but I thought I would go to the closer place because it's the logical thing to do. I get to the counter and let her know that I would like the number two avocado bacon and I would like it as a combo. She told me that it would be $.75 extra for Both and I said that's fine. I then went to use my card to pay graciously she told me that would be $.75 extra which is fine. Her whole demeanor was as if I was bugging her by ordering food and when I went to get my food I asked for salt and vinegar chips. She quickly cut me off and said the salt and vinegar is over on the counter. I corrected her and said no I would like salt vinegar chips and she's like I didn't come with the meal and I told her that Loma Linda I got chips with my meal. Maybe it's just because they offered it to me and I said okay. The whole experience just felt awkward and I will have no problem driving to Loma Linda instead of this location. The employees are so much more welcoming in Loma Linda. I have let her know if she would've told me that Chip did not come with the meal I would've asked to purchase them. She then tells me that there's a sign posted. She had no problem reminding me of the extra charges of using my card and getting extra days and getting extra that. But she wanted to direct me to the signs when she felt convenient to her. So thanks Redlands. LOMA LINDA IT IS Most importantly. The quality of the sandwich being put together doesn't taste as good as the other location in Loma Linda for some reason. There's not as much avocado as there normally is in the sandwiches. And the flavor is extremely off from what I am used to. read more

The prices are great too, they have daily specials and specials on mini (6 inch) and footlong subs. I've only had the New Yorker here, but dang it's good. Seems like all subs here a pretty traditional with nothing fancy really. Chewy bread, lettuce, tomato, onion, salt/pepper, oil/vinegar, mustard and mayo comes on most, if you don't request differently. I used to go to BK subs all the time years ago. Decided to give it a try again and nope. Never again. At least not at this location. The workers were yelling with their friends who were there eating. Talking about partying etc.. I ordered my sandwhich. They forgot everything on it (olives, tomatoes,onions, pickles, mustard) And it's written on the paper how do you mess that up? Lettuce was wilted, bread was so so.Asked for salt and pepper on my sandwhich they pointed me to the packets by the soft drinks. I asked for mustard they gave me packets. Thsi place is a joke. This place has great sandwiches at great prices. Everyone on here complaining about the 75 cent charge for the card..... come on... really. lol the same people who pay 6 bucks for a coffee worth 2 bucks at some coffee places and won't bat an eye. Pay it and don't complain or bring cash. Seating.. there's plenty of room nice quiet spot. Service has been great everytime I go in. Never wait more than a few minutes for my order. This should be interesting. I'm here on a Friday during the lunch hour and one girl is working all alone. She took my order, then took another customers order, and started to take a third order before anyone has ever started on my sandwiches. And I was charged $.75 to use my debit card! The subs are SO AMAZING!!! Sadly, there customer service sucks. Most of the employees that work there seem like they hate their job. I would take my family and friends there yet, I rather take them somewhere with great customer service. HOPEFULLY, the employees learn about customer service. Lunch is such a simple thing. It's a break from your work day, or a time to find sustenance when you're hungry. BK Subs provides these things, and so much more. Now, they've always had consistently good food, but what a blessing that they now offer vegetarian meats at their Redlands establishment! My once-a-week habit quickly became a "two-fer." Yes, you can get "good food" many places, and quickly too, but the overwhelming reason for this review is the associates who work for this establishment. How very special I feel when I walk through the door and they know what I want and exactly HOW I want it. This isn't a fluke either. While I sat there eating my salad, I watched many patrons experience the same, outstanding service. They were always greeted with a friendly word and smile in what I can only describe as a "family." It is true that sometimes you are hungry and just need your body to be fed, but to also feed one's spirit is such a special gift that was offered. Just barely finished a turkey avacado sub 12" sandwhich from BK. Loved it! Bread was soft and bacon was crispy. They added pepperoncinis and oil and vinegar. Best sandwhich ive had in a long time. I am a regular at BK Subs of Loma Linda and am always asked what bread and items I wish on my sandwiches but today at BK Subs Redlands as I placed my order this was never asked. They started to make the first sandwich on white bread as I was ordering and I asked for both sandwiches on wheat. When they heard me say I wanted both on wheat they informed me they had already started the first one on white bread. I asked if they would change it to Wheat bread and they refused saying "We can't because we already started on white bread". I ended up with one on wheat and one on white. I didn't push the point because the total lack of customer service appeared to be the norm. Best sub sandwiches in Redlands. i love the 12 inch turkey sub with avocado. And they don't just put a little avocado on it, they load it up. The bread is always soft and tasty. Its so much better then Subway and literally for the same price. They have specials on the board that include drinks for a good price also. Downside is its rather small with few tables and im taking a star off for the ridiculous 75 cent charge for using my debit card to pay.
