I have an infinitely positive amount of things to say about Azeez and his crew. We needed emergency repairs after our kitchen ceiling fell in and Azeez was able to diagnose the root cause of the leak over the phone. We live in an older home, and even though the crew encountered numerous obstacles/uncovered multiple problems while doing the repair (bad wiring/pvc pipes not glued together/toilets incorrectly installed), they didn't up their labor charge. The only thing that increased was material costs, which we were warned of in advance. The crew was courteous, punctual and professional. Azeez was so easy to communicate with and kept us up to date on schedules and timelines. The ceiling looks better than it did before, and we literally sleep better at night knowing all of our plumbing has been professionally repaired. This old house needs a lot of work, and we'll be contacting BJGE for most of it. read more

AJ was very pleasant on the phone during the initial quoting and consultation. Very professional from the first phone conversation. However, he did drop off without much follow up after I decided to go with him and be put on schedule for the interior French door installation. After no answer back for 10 days until prodded today, he said "I told you via email it'll be late October." This is despite me asking him to put me on schedule and assuming it'll be a specific date. But my question is why even bother offering to put me on a schedule when there wasn't any? Why the lack of follow up? He could have said "sorry I don't have anything and can't give you any specific dates. I will not get back to you for the next 2-3 weeks." But why even offer to quote me? This wasted my time as well as I did decline other contractors just to go with AJ but now I have to start over. There was also a hint of sarcasm in his email too, saying that my French door preference to achieve noise reduction for an office space is an "oxymoron". His words, not mine. First of all, it was merely a comment for advice or suggestion and such reply was uncalled for. There are better ways of answering than a one liner "... is an oxymoron." Second, you're the subject matter expert, of course a customer would ask you questions or ask for suggestions/consideration that you may find ridiculous but still have to respond courteously. Third, there ARE French doors done right that provides noise reduction told to me by other contractors. Never asked for sound proof but a door installation most conducive to lowering noise. Just my two cents. *update* his claim on timing is wrong. He posed a question "shall I put you on schedule?" But after answering there was no update on what was the conclusion of the said "scheduling". You had said "late October" and now claims "mid October". Which one is it? At the end of the day communication is key. Be clear, concise, and follow through. Never was there a "I'll get back to you at this day and this time." Be honest in your response. It's ok to make mistakes. Own up to it. Added one more star because at the end of the day, this is never meant as retaliation. Just do good work and treat your customer's time equally valuable. Thanks. Note: That's such a lie! You never clearly stated you'd come by to measure by mid October. There was no measuring mentioned. If you are referring to that, it was to a text sent to you TWO WEEKS AGO that you bothered to only respond now after given more strongly worded inquiry on my part. Azeez and his team are absolutely fantastic!!! We were closing on our first house, which was in serious need of some overhead lighting and fresh paint. When a different contractor drug his feet with providing a quote, I began looking into other options. I contacted Azeez on the Saturday before closing, and Tuesday evening after closing Azeez and his team were at the new house, finalizing the quote and got started Wednesday morning. Azeez took a look at our inspection report and highlighted items that could be addressed easily in addition to, or in the process of, the work they were already doing which we really appreciated. Azeez and his team were flexible as we continued to add other items such as: accent walls, security features, lock changes, outdoor lighting, fixing bathroom fans, mounting TV, etc. Etc. And they were REALLY helpful addressing not one- but TWO leaks the inspector missed, coming from the patio door and dishwasher. Throughout the project, Azeez communicated clearly every day on project status, estimate/actuales cost, and provided us with tons of valuable home advice and how-tos. Despite all the additions we still ended up under estimate which was awesome. AJ was incredible to work with and an absolute lifesaver! I needed some quick and last minute drywall removal and repair work done. He let me hire out his guys at their run rate, so I ended up getting several things off of my renovation punch list completed. The men were clean, courteous, and -- most of all -- efficient. I have seen so many trades come through where the big boss isn't around and the crew just begin to move at a glacial pace and lunch hour turns into lunch hour and half two hours, then they're gone by 3PM with little progress made. Tam Tran did our routine HVAC maintenance and cleaned parts of our hard-to-reach, very old HVAC system that clearly had been neglected for years by the previous company we used. He also tested all different parts of the system and explained to us how about how many more years we should expect to get out of each part. BJ Global renovated 3 bathrooms and our kitchen, repainted the entire interior of our home, installed recessed lighting in several rooms, and performed several other smaller jobs (eg repairing broken balusters, etc). We had a great experience with them. We found them to be extremely professional and honest and were excellent communicators. They sent me text, email, and/or phone updates every day while they were in the house. I never had to badger them to find out how things were going. If I had questions I never waited more than an hour for a phone call or email response and typically it was way less than that. The crew was at the house everyday by 7:30am, and didn't miss a day of work. We also appreciated that they always work with the same crew and that they were very upfront about cost, permitting, time line, etc. They finished the job on time to the day and about $4K under budget on materials. The crew was also great, they always were pleasant to have around and seemed to be extremely hard working. In terms of how we managed the design and build elements of the work, I generally told them what I wanted and they ran with it finding ways to make it happen within our budget. For example, we didn't have the budget to replace the cabinets or move the plumbing/gas lines around, but they did an amazing job reusing what was there already and working within the constraints of the gas/plumbing locations. They pulled everything out/off the walls, pulled out a wall, and redesigned and reconfigured everything in the new space. They are a problem solvers. There are several examples where other contractors told some something wasn't possible given my budget, but BJ Global took the time to look at the situation and find a solution. One example is we wanted to install a tub in our kids' bathroom. Others told us it would have to be special order, costing thousands extra, or that it just wasn't possible in the space without ripping down some walls and expanding the bathroom. BJ Global opened up the wall and changed the orientation of the joists, giving us a few extra inches and enough room for a standard sized tub. They didn't make a big deal about it or charge me for it, they just did it. It was great. In terms of price, we interviewed 3 design build firms in addition to them and they were very competitive. They also have a policy of taking care of small things around the house as part of their job. For example, our house had all sorts of useless cables everywhere (ethernet, land lines, etc.). They asked us if we wanted them to pull them and patch the walls and ended up doing that without charging us anything for it. There were several little things like that that came up that saved us having to hire a handyman. They didn't penny pinch me for everything- if they could fix something easily while they were there they just did it. If there was a materials cost we paid that but they didn't charge us for a 15 or 30 min job it was just part of their PR to do it to make me happy. My only critique is that a few of the finishings (towel hooks etc.) were put in counterintuitive places or oriented strangely for me (i.e. faucet handles) in the bathroom. However, I told them and they came back and moved the hooks etc. around to where I wanted them no questions asked, no charge. In short, they did an excellent job at a competitive price and their customer service is unparalleled. read more

WOW - Amazing, super-fast service! I contacted them via Yelp message on Friday afternoon, and the owner called me back within 5 minutes, saying he could get someone out that evening. I had a prior commitment, so their technician (Tam Tran) came out Sat AM to access my broken upstairs AC unit. Unfortunately I had to replace the system, but they were able to locate a system immediately (onsite at my house!) and installed it Monday at noon. The owner and technician would text and email to verify exactly when the technician would be arriving as well, so I wasn't given a "window" of time to wait for them to show up. Very neat, covered the floors with tarp, no mess in the house at all and system taken away without damage to my home. Those poor guys had to deal with 120+ degree temps in my attic too in the middle of the day without complaint! Paid via square on credit card and emailed receipts. There is a reason that these guys have a 5-STAR rating. They are fantastic. I called the day after Thanksgiving with a serious problem - a leak, somewhere, that was seeping through my ceiling. I was told when they would arrive and was given several phone and text updates. Mr. Tam Tran arrived on time, quickly diagnosed my problem and fixed it. He even fixed an unrelated problem free of charge which was amazing. What I had thought might be an extremely expensive problem ended up costing me only $150. I can't recommend them more highly. When I bought my first a fixer-upper (and first home) a little over one year ago, I was very excited to get the first of my many planned projects underway. I envisioned a complete overhaul from floor to ceiling in just about every room, so while I was optimistic about how much I could DIY, I also knew that I would need to find a contractor I could trust for things like carpentry, plumbing, cabinetry, etc.. Did I mention I also had a pretty tight budget? So, I needed someone I could afford, which is no small undertaking in this area. I interviewed dozens of contractors and BJ Global won by a landslide. Not only did I feel like I'd finally found a contractor who was honest about cost and really cared about my investment, I found a team I could trust to get the job done and get it done right. Shafic and Azeez are amazing guys who really care about their clients, and it shows through in their work. I have yet to have a houseguest over since my renovations who hasn't marveled at the amazing job BJ Global did in my kitchen (total gut and remodel), master and guest bedrooms (reformatted closets, added window seat, and built in storage space), and basement (total gut and remodel and added a new bathroom and new storage built-ins). I'm reasonably good at small plumbing projects and when my daughter told me she was having a problem with her diverter spout on her tub I volunteered to replace it. I looked at it, went to the local big box store and bought a replacement unit. Removing the old one wasn't particularly difficult so I assumed that installing the new one would be simple too. My mistake, after 3 attempts, skinned and bleeding knuckles, sweating brow I was willing to give up. My problem was two fold, where to find a plumber and how to get them to come out and solve my problem before my daughter got home from work, and this was late in the afternoon. I called one plumber and they could come out on Monday which clearly wouldn't work. I called BJ Global and explained my problem. They said they had a plumber in the area and when he was finished they would have him come by, probably between 4:30 and 5:00, He arrived at 4:45 looked at my problem, offered a couple of suggestions and when I agreed he started right to work. It took him less than an hour to finish the whole thing, including clean up, and be on his way. Tam Tran did a great job and just as importantly he didn't laugh at my feeble efforts.
