Bixby Barber is an amazing shop in Carmel. Rachel, the owner, has great skill and customer service. It was easy to make an appointment by calling the shop. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted to the very classic, nice barbershop. Rachel has great confidence is being able to give me the style of haircut I wanted. I wanted a drop fade (which not many barber can do in this area) with a clean-up on my comb over. She wonderfully executed that; I will post pictures later on. My boyfriend was very happy with his haircut. We drove to here from San José and it was worth it! He usually has a problem with hairdressers not cutting enough hair off and just doing their own thing rather than being concerned about what he wants. He said that the hairdresser Rachel was very meticulous and asked him to make sure it was short enough. His haircut looks so much better than I've ever seen. Bixby is at the heart of Carmel by the Sea. It is near a lot of store. There are a lot of street parking around the area, so you do not need to worry about parking. It is also easy to locate. If you are from out of town and need a haircut during your visit here I recommend this place! The decor of this place is really nice, I really dig it! This place is incredible. I walked up on a whim one afternoon and Rachel apologized because she was fully booked for the day. I left and went down the street to do some window shopping, and a few minutes later she actually came outside looking for me to say she'd had a cancellation and could take me right away! I needed a haircut and did not want to go to a beauty shop. I found Bixby Barber on a yelp search. Thank god I did. Rachel was a true professional barber. She took her time cutting my hair and made sure I was pleased with my haircut. When I sat down she asked if I would like a beer or shot of Jamieson or Mezcal.
