She rocks. Good people. Good puppy too. Excellent cut. Squeezed me in last minute and I was able to avoid the homeless look I walked in with read more

Been only once...so too soon to tell...but will be back! Initial impression, no nonsense gentleman's shop...cash only.

Red is a quality barber! I had a good experience in sharing what I wanted (used an online pic) and what I've been unhappy with from other cuts. Red listened, gave me some advice, and ultimately I receiving a great cut! Thanks Red, I'll be back. read more

Came here for a last minute haircut before my Wedding and walked out extremely satisfied. The music was also on point while I waited.

New in town and searching for a quality cut and beard mustache trim. Went in the first time just for beard trim/line up. She has talent and I liked the shape but she missed some spots under my neck. Noticed when I got home so I cleaned up what she missed. Her shop is dark with most light coming through a window. She moved quick but I shouldn't have to clean up my beard after paying $25. I decided to give her a second at a haircut/beard trim. She rushed me in and out the chair, talking about her next Navy post graduation client, talking with her friend and puppy in shop instead of paying attention to detail. Missed my lip line and spots under my neck again. What really got me was she dry cut my hair. Didn't wet and follow my part line or what I told her about my cut. Took that way too high. That messed up my cowlick. 2 on the sides fade, with a trim on top is what I told her... One of the laziest and softest cuts I've had in years. Better hit the sports clips or supper cuts and save $50 on bad lighting and rushed cuts that mess up your look if you wanna keep it tight. No quality, vibe is only if you're a regular it seems. read more

Beware! No price posted. Not transparent and sketchy. It is definitely not a $ barber shop. They charge $40 for men's haircut. Definitely, won't be a regular barber shop for me. I won't go back again. read more

This place is always clean, professional and the gal who owns it is top notch. I always get the haircut I want and it looks great every time! read more

Great place to get a crisp cut and clean fade In Monterey. You'll be greeted by the cutest puppy "guard dog", get a fresh cut from a kick ass/talented barber and well, that's pretty much it. read more

Pros -- a decent haircut. She's basically friendly, sort of. Cons -- this is definitely a "this is my place and I run it the way I want to" setup. There is, first of all, nowhere to wait. You stand around in a dirt parking lot, outdoors, waiting. She does put out a wooden bench for you to sit on, but that's it. The neighborhood is not exactly Rodeo Drive, either. The place also has a biker/tattoo parlor vibe which, if that's not your thing, can feel a little sketchy. The whole setup left kind of a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Red is a fade phenomenon! I always know I'm going to get a clean, fresh look! Beyond that, it's always engaging, entertaining conversation and fair prices . Highly recommend! read more

Pure talent!! When I sit in Red's chair, I know I'm getting a great cut. Whether you need a regular hair cut or a beard trim, you're going to leave happy! Personally, we won't go anywhere else. But, hey, it's your head! read more

I'd been wanting to get in and get a cut for years I'm usually bald and clean shaven, but a recent ankle break and surgery led me to let my beard grow out. After a few months it was looking scruffy. My wife made me an appointment today 10/25/2019 at 4:30. Went in and got a fantastic beard fade trim up and bald head scraping from Red herself! Finally a new great barber. That knows exactly what needs to happen. I'm still very bald cause that's how I like it and my beard no longer looks weird!! Thanks Red! read more

Thank you for fixing my son hair after a horrible experience at another salon. Happy kid!

Red's Barbering - Haircut by Red. - Barbers Near Me - Seaside, California

I've been looking for a good barber ever since moving to the peninsula and I've found one at Red's. She is awesome at what she does and is passionate about it. The cut was great, and so was the conversation. Will definitely be returning. read more

After leaving reds, I was left with more questions than answers. Question 1) why do I have 3 different lengths of hair on my hairline in the front? Question 2) why do the buzzes on the side go up to different heights i.e. 1 inch higher on right than the left Question 3) why did I tip $10 on a $20 haircut that my friends have been roasting my relentlessly for? (I actually do know the answer for this. I wasn't wearing my glasses ) 1 star for being open the day after Christmas. 1 star for being cool. -3 stars for forcing me to buzz my hair I've been growing out for months after waiting 2 awkward weeks of having my F'd up hair line grow back out long enough to get it cut again. read more

Went in for a high and tight, and she asked me if I knew what a high and tight is. Why would I ask for it if I didn't know what a high and tight is? That's no big deal, but she also trimmed my beard without my asking. It takes months to grow a full goatee and I was about half-way there. Now I've got a petite little thin goatee and have to basically start over. All for $30!!! read more

I would give this place 0 stars for the disrespect. I've never been here before it's my first time. I saw parking spots by the entrance so I parked there. This rude lady didnt even greet me as a customer not even hello, just, "You're in my spot" like seriously? how about hello? good morning? I'm your customer you can st least try to be welcoming. I just got in my car and left. No respect read more

Horrible service and she can't even use a straight blade! Don't call yourself a barber. I did not wanna give her a one star!!

My son and husband love Mrs Red. She's fantastic and they are both very particular about their hair. If we try and take our son somewhere else because we are to busy to get to Monterey he gets very upset. I wrote this during the shelter in place and our son has decided to just let it grow until he can go to Mrs Red. I will attempt to cut my husband hair read more

I was very disappointed with Red's. I had hoped to discover a local shop where I could get my hair cut on a regular basis. However, my experience was les than satisfactory. I felt disrespected and Red was discourteous. They , also, overcharged me considerably. Beware, they do not post their prices. I am looking for another barber. read more

Definitely the best barber shop in the area! Ms. Red is super cool, her cuts are amazing and the price is definitely more affordable. Other barber shops in the area can't even match the quality of Red's Barbering and they still overcharge. The shop has a good vibe and Ms. Red does appointments, which makes getting a haircut so much easier. Definitely recommend! read more

Red cut my mans hair and it looked so good, she knows what she's doing and we will definitely be back! So thankful to have a place to go to get a good cut, especially with how crazy everything is these days read more

Very rude lady !!! She told me that I was welcome to get a haircut; But my 11 year old son wasn't...even there is pictures here in Yelp, with youngsters and their haircut's getting done at Reds...Shame on this business, for not POSTING a sign with "Adults Only"..... Very misleading with the pictures.....I will take my hard earned money somewhere. I hope that business is booming!!! read more

She was really rude. I walked in and she was on her phone the whole time. I asked her if they took walk ins and the first thing she said was that i couldn't park where I had parked (I had parked in front of a BIG sign that says customer parking). Obviously I was confused but didn't question it and I moved my car. Came back and asked if I could actually park where she had told me and she gave me some sarcastic, rude answer and I couldn't take it any longer so I walked out. The customer service of the lady was just terrible and the price was steep. Would NOT recommend. I would give it no stars if it were possible. read more

Although it says walks-ins welcome, this is not the case. Very dissatisfied. Completely empty barber shop and still turned away. We will not be back and encourage others not to come as well. read more

My usual stylist botched my hair pretty good and I was left with an odd cut. Called Reds and explained what had happened. She was empathetic and asked all the right questions. She squeezed me into the end of her work day and worked some kind of barber's magic. Rescuing me and knowing how to work with my hair has totally won me over. Plus she has an awesome friendly personality! read more

We have been looking for a barbershop for a while now that they could cut my husband's hair then we ran across Red's Barbering. Thank you so much for the haircut you gave to Robert. I love it. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us--and we agree, Red is truly a gem she did a wonderful job cutting my husband's hair. We count ourselves lucky for finding a Babar like you. We look forward to seeing again in the future! read more

I have become a regular here. Red knows what she's doing, you just need to tell her what your expectation is from the cut, and you will get what you asked for! If you are a regular, she knows your style and you won't even have to tell her unless you want something different that day! Red is a solid person who speaks her mind, great personality, no bs! This is a speciality place where you either let Red develop a style for you which suits your persona, or you tell her how you want it! You get what you ask for!! Straight up! Really social personality, knows her trade and a true barbershop experience where you get to share your views while you getting your hair done. And beard line ups! As they say "on point!!". Id rate her more than 5 stars if there was an option!! Option of walk in and appointment both available, so works great for my schedule! You want Red on your side if you want that great style!!! My wife said I looked cool, so I got my money's worth and then some! Much love to red and her hard work! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!! read more

Red is really funny and full of personality and did an awesome job! I went to her to get my side cut shaved off completely. Red was definitely respectful of my desires for my hairstyle but still was able to give some awesome suggestions that worked perfectly. Also my edges are on FLEEK and I've gotten several comments from friends who agree. Red can you come back with me to Philly? Please? read more

Red's Barbering - Thanks Red! - Barbers Near Me - Seaside, California

No prices noted and my haircut was $30 cash. Barber cut hair for another gentleman before me and spent twice as much time with him and charged him $25 also in cash. She gives no receipt so how does she pay taxes? A little rude and abrupt, I will never pay that much for so little done again. I realize she is running a business but she selects who she like or does not like. It's obvious. read more
