Really dry and crusty pork cutlet
    Hannah C.

Came here for their kkangpoonggi but it was hard to find the chicken. Everything else was either bland or stale. Their pork cutlet was really dry and over fried with used oil and not fresh oil. Jjajang myun was also really bland. Service was mediocre even though the restaurant was half full. Ambiance is chill.. I'm not sure how they got a 4.5 star but as a Korean, I am very disappointed in the food here and definitely do not recommend it.

Restaurant appears fairly clean. Around the time we went which was 2:30-3:30, there was only one worker present not including the chefs in the kitchen. I liked how menus had pictures of the food, and they were all pretty accurate Service doesnt stand out but is fine. Upon reading previous reviews for this place, I knew I needed to ask for water rather than it being served automatically which is exactly what happened. They want to see you finish your sides before u get refill. Food was all delicious and had a lot of flavor. However, some of it wasn't fresh and you could tell, for example, the gyoza and some meats were a bit stale tasting. One of the people at my table requested to leave a certain vegetable out of their meal but still received it anyway. Tofu in one of the soups was burnt. Servings are pretty big and I would say they're sharing size. We came at a pretty empty and late lunch hour, so I understand how my review can differ from others, but it's funny how on google, this restaurant has a 4.7 rating while here it has 3.2. However, we all enjoyed our lunch here.

It was our first time here and we loved our super delicious lunch! Excellent service too from Eunbyeol who was so friendly and happy. I would have given the food full stars but my Bibimbap didn't have a sunny side up egg, it was easy over which takes away the nice yellow yolk colour that I love. I had to cut the egg to let the yolk show through for the photo. We loved the Kimchi pancakes and got Gyoza steamed and fried. I preferred the steamed which brought out the flavours better. Ambience was very nice with very large space and booths to choose from. It was an early lunch and wasn't busy. I'll definitely be back. So much on the menu!

seen this place in the neighbourhood for years, finally stopped by to try it. it was a tad underwhelming and not as rich and flavourful as we had hoped. we ordered the pork bone soup and kinchi stew. their sides are tasty but please prep with care - there was non-edible ingredient in the glass noodle side. service was very friendly and staff are polite. looks like the place was recently renovated as well.

Came here after a tiring shift with my good friend and she got the mulnaenmyeon which was more soupy than my bibimnaengmyeon. It came out super quick (makes sense because it's a cold noodle) and it was delicious! I love how slightly chewy the noodles were. I would've preferred it if there was more protein as it was mostly noodles but the amount of sauce to noodles were the perfect ratio. We also shared the peach soju which was delicious. Because it was a weekend night, they were quite busy so we had to flag them down a couple times but they have a call bell at each table so that was easy. Will definitely return!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon, off peak. So we easily got a table. The service was very fast. Our waiter was also attentive and we got checked on regularly. The menu was quite extensive. It took me a long time to decide on what to order. This was somewhat overwhelming. I finally decided on the bibimbap, which I enjoyed thoroughly. The banchan was good too. My friends all liked their meals. Overall, this was a great dining experience.

Went for dinner. Food was good. It's also dead of summer so it was hot as hell. But it was good. Been here in the past and I enjoyed it. The service was good. Servers were nice and attentive. We ordered just enough and didn't over order like usual so I'm happy !

Came here on a whim (BEFORE checking Yelp... shock gasp horror) because it was closest to the underground parking and we needed some food ASAP. It was a Friday night and they still had plenty of tables available. Love the variety of banchan available here. We ordered: Bibim naengmyun, Soon dubu (soft tofu stew), and the eel rice. The food was fresh and tasty! The naengmyun was good but they didn't serve it with any extra vinegar or mustard. They also forgot the scissors so it got a lil messy eating it. Overall, pretty good. Service was efficient! The banchan and food was delivered quickly to our table. For a no-frills location, efficiency is really all you're looking for... not so much for the smiles. Pretty good Korean joint located in the heart of Chinatown!

Appetizers: Rock Shrimp, Fatty Tuna Nigiri, Crispy Rice Tuna Entrée: Jidori Chicken Drinks: Sangria, Champagne Dessert: Yuzu Citrus The rock shrimp was delicious. We loved the sauce it was tossed in. My friend is not usually a shrimp fan but she polished it off for me. The fatty tuna nigiri was great, as expected, and the crispy rice tuna was phenomenal. The Jidori chicken was delightful. We loved the sauce, and the mashed potatoes were pillowy. I did not have the sangria but my friend said it was the best she had ever had. The yuzu citrus dessert came with strawberry gelato and cookie crumbs. The gelato was not overly sweet and the yuzu was perfectly tart. They also put a little "Reunited" note on the dessert plate, which we both thought was such a sweet touch. Definitely pricey, but definitely worth it. Recommended it to my Toronto friends, I really want to go back and get that king crab rice.

The staff helped us through the menu and gave us recommendations, and was so kind and fun to chat with! I had gotten the chicken katsu and my friend the beef tartar bibimbap. Both came with amazing portions and we had food to spare. The katsu was perfectly crispy, and the house made sauce was perfectly seasoned and amazing! It also came with apples and salad on the side which was a perfect pallet cleanser. The bibimbap had a great variety of toppings and everything was seasoned well. When thoroughly mixed, everything bite had a bit of everything and it was delicious. On top of the food u get when you order, the meal also comes with 6 different sides. There was 3 different kimchi, braised potatoes and 2 others that I'm not sure what they are, but they were delicious. My favourite was the potatoes and kimchi! Hence we entered Jin Dai Lae. Good decision (yes, I am patting my back). Entree pricing was $3 to $4 lower than Markham/Richmond Hill. Portion was so big that you would be full, and might have to doggy bag. Most importantly, food tasted good. Short ribs stew had many pieces of beef. Squids hot plate was saucy. It wasn't too spicy, so it was good for me (menu didn't have a chilli sign either). For people who like it hot, you can ask for some chilli sauce.
