Bivouac's superb coffee (their very own, freshly roasted) and atmosphere keep bringing me back. This lovely coffee shop is on my top five list of favorite coffee shops in Colorado; if I designed a coffee shop this would be it. I love the service, the vibe and the fact that they keep things simple and that's serving perfect coffee. No fluff, no frills - just a lovely shop that the most discerning coffee snob will appreciate. Love, love, love Bivouac.

Nice people, nice coffee and great space inside or out. We sat outside and they had self serve water station which is always nice. I had a Cortado with oat milk, done well. You can order food next door and they'll bring it out.

The coffee is so good here and their avocado toast was so filling and well done! Definitely a good place to stop by if you're visiting the area

What an amazing coffee shop, it's our go-to! The presentation is beautiful, coffee is amazing, and love the touch of the stroopwaffle with every coffee. Highly recommend!

This is a great local coffee shop in Evergreen, CO. While a little tucked away, they are a great stop for a coffee! They have a smaller menu, but that is not concerning because to me that means they know what they do and they do it well. I got that maple spice latte and my fiancé got the iced chai. Both were very good! Along with your drink you also get a mini stroopwafel which is so cute! They also have parking out front and local art inside to peruse.

Simple and cute coffee shop that makes the best cappuccino in town! The little waffle cookie with your drink is a perfect companion.

I was craving a homey coffee shop moment, something cabin-esque where you can relax without feeling rushed. Muddy Buck delivered. Comfy couches, warm wood vibes, and the kind of atmosphere that immediately makes you feel welcome. I did forget the book I meant to read, but that worked out because I ended up having a really lovely morning playing games with a friend instead. The coffee was solid, and the pastries were warm, soft, and pillowy. But the sleeper hit here is the Muddy Buck chocolate chip walnut cookie. Gooey, perfectly baked, and genuinely memorable. One of those cookies you keep thinking about later. If you're in Evergreen and want a cozy, relaxed coffee shop where you can actually sit and enjoy your time, this is the spot.

Very torn on the Muddy Buck - it didn't live up to my expectations…read more The good: 1) The ambiance! They have the mountain town atmosphere and decor down. The seating is a fun mix of tables and comfy couches, plus outside patio seating. There is a selection of board and card games available, and a slightly tucked away book for those who want some privacy (as I did on my morning visit, to take a work call). 2) The chocolate chip walnut cookies are SO good! Definitely get it warmed up. 3) Free wifi. The less good: 1) Given they roast their own coffee I had high expectations on the taste of my latte but it was just okay, nothing standout. 2) The cinnamon rolls are another thing the Muddy Buck is known for and maybe I just got one from a day-old / less fresh batch but it wasn't that great. The edges were crispy - not sure if that's intentional - I prefer my cinnamon rolls soft & pillowy. 3) The service is hit-or-miss and their overall workflow needs some adjusting. After most orders the cashier would walk away and tell the next person in line they'll be with them in just a few minutes, even if it wasn't that busy. When I got my Italian soda, I didn't get my cookie - I was told they were still working on it (it was in the display case) - yet my friend who ordered after me got her soda and cookie at the same time. I had to go up again to ask for it. 4) They're inconsistent with their use of disposable vs reusable packaging. My latte was in a to-go cup despite dining in and plenty of reusable mugs hanging there. Cinnamon roll came on a plate. Italian soda was a to-go cup. Cookie was in a to-go bag. They have both reusable and disposable silverware. Some adjustments are needed IMO.

The baristas clearly know what they're doing, and the service is friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed an iced Americano, a spicy sweet chai with almond milk, and a London Fog latte. The line was to the door by the time we left. We had originally planned to have our beverages there, but the seating was taken so we got our order to go. I had a latte with stevia, my son got their N'awlins Cold Brew and my daughter got an iced green tea. My son also chose an apple fritter and I got a ham and Gruyere croissant. My daughter did not want any food with her drink. I got my croissant warmed. The pastry was tasty. The latte was fine. My son liked his pastry and drink but didn't think he would choose that drink again. My daughter was not a fan of her tea. The interior is very nicely decorated. The people were pleasant. The beverages overall were ok. It is pricy so it may not be something that will have a return visit.

Plenty of space, tables and outlets with strong WiFi and even stronger coffee! Since I've never been, I kept it traditional and ordered off their regular menu vs seasonal drinks. I was hoping the small coffee would be free with purchase of bag, but I guess it wasn't. The bag of coffee wasn't cheap, so I was disappointed in how over-roasted the beans were. Adjusting grind levels and water temperature, there was always a bitterness or too watered down. The other flavors present in the beans, however, we're quite nice. I was hoping that they would have real kona coffee, but unfortunately their supplier suffered from disaster in Hawaii. Not going to blame them for that, but objectively speaking, if a Hawaiian coffee shop doesn't have Hawaiian coffee, then I am sad about it. At the same time, due to the circumstances, there is a compelling reason to throw some more support behind them.
