First time at Biundo's. I was also the first one in the restaurant today. I made sure to get here when they opened at 11am. It is a small place - max occupancy is 44 people. It has great a great atmosphere of a pizza place. I like the brick walls. I was greeted with a smile and as I was the only one here, could sit anywhere. The list of pizza choices is great. I had a hard time deciding. The pan pizza will take 35 min and the stuffed 45 min....I was hungry so I decided to go with the thin Supreme. I am excited to try the pizza. People started coming in about 1125 am. The thin crust took about 25 min to come out. They are not skimpy with the ingredients and the crust is crispy...it is delicious! I got the larger size pizza as I wanted to take some home....so glad I did! read more

I ordered for pick-up and when I got there, the restaurant was still so busy and seating parties of people even though they were going to close in 30 mins so that in itself speaks volumes about the establishment. Absolutely delicious, we had the deep dish pan pizza, chicken parm and chicken penne pasta with vodka sauce and started with the zucchini fries.......We arrived at 6pm on Saturday night, there was a wait given the restaurant only seats 44 people......only negative, very understaffed, they need to have a bus boy on busy nights and a hostess......we waited at the front for someone to put us on the wait list for over 10 minutes and tables were available but it took them forever to clean them off......essentially because 3 waitresses were doing everything while working their 11 tables......they don't take reservations so waiting 35 minutes to be seated for a great meal isn't a big deal, but with the proper staffing, that wait time could easily have been and should have been cut in half......with the take out business they were doing (that was another HUGE disruption to the 3 waitresses) they can afford a hostess and bus boy at minimum wage. UPDATE: I see Jennifer B responded to my initial review - I appreciate your response - however, you're still understaffed - From 6:02pm when we arrived until we left at roughly 8pm - the only employees busing tables were the 3 waitresses - the only employees checking in guests and placing them on the waiting list were the 3 waitresses - customers sitting outside (on a cold night) and seeing 3 open unbused tables adds to dissatisfaction and frustration (that often leads to poor tipping, which is NOT a result of the waitresses performance but managements reluctance or u willingness to staff properly) and less than 5 star reviews - notice I did NOT say we waited 40 minutes for our entrees to arrive (and another 10 after that for the deep dish pizza) - that's because we understand you're busy, especially seeing all the to-go pick up orders and the two delivery guys running in and out - AGAIN, staffing is important, NOT just for customer satisfaction, but enhanced Employee Morale / our waitress sat at our table to take our order because she was so exhausted from bussing, waiting, hostessing and tracking down take out orders.....the extra $100 a night it would cost for BOTH a hostess & full time bus boy (4pm-8pm.....$50 a piece) will ENHANCE productivity and PROFITABILITY read more

Owners, your speakers are designed to be mounted in the ceiling, instead you've got them hanging open air on nails. Regardless of the music, the speakers are making my ears bleed. Get some cheap speakers in enclosures please. Worse was the music. A family place with heavy metal bleating "I can't f'n breathe!" Among others. Pay attention. Ok to the positive. Our server was friendly and efficient. Meatballs as an appetizer were fantastic. Ive never been able to make a proper meatball despite the only recipes of various nonnas of friends. Its technique, its soul but these have the right stuff in spades. Tender, moist, flavorful they were masterful. Add the simple but flavorsome marinara and they are perfect. Next time I'd get without the mozz to just focus on that incredible sauce and meatball. Bravo! We're there for the thin crust and it brang it! First, a simple sausage, pepperoni, onion pie cut into the requisite squares. She found a review somewhere for Biundo's so we decided to give it a try. We were here on a Saturday night, around 7 pm. It was moderately busy but still plenty of seating. Our server got us seated and gave us menus. When she came back to take our drink order, we also knew what we wanted to eat. We ordered: - Two Yuengling beers - Lasagna - Small Pan Pizza with Cheese, Sausage and Mushroom The beer was cold and she also brought us two beer mugs from the freezer. Nice. The food came about 20 minutes later and it was hot. We enjoyed the Lasagna, though I thought it could have used another layer of lasagna noodle in it. Still - quite tasty. The pizza had a tall side crust. The crust on the side and bottom were crispy and pretty thin. The sausage was tasty and there was plenty of cheese. Next time, we're going to order it with more sauce, maybe skip the mushrooms and do double sausage. My husband had mentioned this place a time or two. Since he is a Chicago native, he was craving a deep-dish pizza that matched the quality of the best in Chicago. He discovered this restaurant and we decided to give it a try. Although it isn't a traditional Chicago-style deep dish, it is remarkably good. The house dressing was not like Balsamic Vinaigrette but very good. Was expecting the red version. We ordered the 14" pan pizza half with Pepperoni and Mushrooms. The third visit, ehhhh bad service (Not attentive at all). The food, we had the Hawaiian Deep dish. If I had ordered a cheese pizza it would have been great. But almost no pineapple or ham. Shrimp Alfredo, the shrimp were HUGE and well seasoned. The pasta, lacked flavor, it was okay.... Will I be back yes, but I'm gonna hope the food is back to being awesome when I do. The restaurant is a very small space, but really cute inside. We waited about 10 min and got a table. It then took another 20 minutes just to get seen and drinks. From the time we ordered our food to when it actually arrived was about 1 hour and 15 min. Our salads didn't not come until after we were practically done with the meal. (Pretty sure the waitress just forgot to put them in) By the time the meal came, we were all pretty ravenous but excited. Unfortunately we were just met with mediocrity. Cold Alfredo sauce, pizza with not enough crisp, too much flop. Really wanted to like this place, but probably won't be back. Ok for Venus I guess. We've been coming to historic downtown Venus for quite awhile. We love old buildings and town squares and there's another restaurant here we've frequented. It's actually miles from home and now we have another wonderful destination a few feet away. Obviously this a local favorite. Humming with business, Biundo's is inviting and the walls are full of Sicilian family photos, generations of Biundos. Tiled tables and welcoming staff helped us to get comfy with a giant menu. I mean huge! We settled on pizza as first timers and onion rings for an appetizer. The onion rings came right out and they were perfectly battered and perfectly cooked. Big tasty onions. The pizza took longer, but it was dinnertime and I expected as much. Meanwhile, we saw numerous pan pizzas come out of the kitchen to ooohs and aaaahs. Things of beauty. I also saw enormous meatballs, big as softballs, two to a plate of spaghetti. We chose the thin crust Supreme pizza ($26.95) 14" and asked for it to be crispy. It came with pepperoni, sausage, onion, mushroom, green pepper, and black olive and we requested anchovies additionally for $3. It was amazing on top. Quality ingredients and really just delicious. I couldn't taste too much anchovy; but we love them and use them heavily on pizza at home. The crust was maybe a little too crispy, actually somewhat burnt, especially around the outer half. It was not so significant as to complain about it - it was not torched. The overall flavor and impression the pizza made on us was a positive one. We loved the fact that the atmosphere was so rustic. The brick walls. The original storefront and wood floors. The wood tables, comfy chairs and tile table tops. The staff was talkative and genuine. Helpful and knowledgeable. Parking is on the street. I visited this amazing establishment on a weekday and was greeted with a warm welcome as soon as I walked through the door. Inside they have e a nice cozy warm atmosphere with decorations and plenty of tables and chairs to sit at. I was given a menu by the lovely hostess and she took my drink order of a unsweetened tea. As I browsed through the menu I noticed they have a nice variety of pizzas ranging from your pan, stuffed, and thin crust pizzas. They have an abundant selection of appetizers to choose from as well as pastas dishes. I went ahead and ordered the traditional pan pizza with just cheese and was told by the sweet waitress it will have a cook time of 25 plus minutes. The pizza came out in no time and I was handed a plate with utensils along with chilled parmesan and red pepper flakes. The pizza was looking stunning and all I wanted to do was snap pictures before trying to devour this magnificent dish I was staring at! The pizza was ooey gooey cheesy with bubbles of fresh mozzarella cheese just piled high beneath a fresh layer of tomato sauce that was being held by a perfectly crispy crust. After I kept stuffing my face with this cheese goodness I started to become full and the waitress went ahead and brought me a to-go box. Overall this pizza set the expectations I was looking for along with the second to none customer service that was provided. I came here with such high hopes from about 40 minutes away. When we walked in the restaurant was very warm and the AC didn't appear to be working well at all. We got seated but the floor under our table wasn't cleaned, which wasn't great. Our waitress brought our drinks which were fine, but we had to ask if we could move a fan twice just to have some air flow in the place. Warm dead air doesn't make for a pleasant meal. We ordered the arancini which were way too hard on the outside, and did not have any ground beef or peas in it, which is how they are normally made. The pizza we ordered was a thin crust supreme. It had amazing flavor but oddly was almost too crunchy, it was difficult to cut with a normal knife as it was too hot to pick up for a while and not cut all the way in the kitchen. Waitress had to be asked twice to bring napkins and more sweet and low. I really wanted to say this was a great experience but I felt pretty underwhelmed. May try a to go Chicago style next time. We traveled to Venus Texas, not very close to us, just to try out their Pizza. It was a Saturday evening and they were pretty crowded and we had to wait approximately 15 minutes for a table. Once we got seated, we found out that they're no longer BYOB which is a negative, since we brought a bottle of wine with us. Nevertheless, we ordered a pan pizza, onion rings, and two glasses of wine. Everything was very good, except the wine. It was the smallest glass of wine I have ever seen, like a juice glass. We sent them back since it was way overpriced for that. They need to definitely reconsider how they sell their wine. They also have beer which is a much better buy. I would rate the onion rings at 4 out of 5 and the pizza at 5 out of 5. Just a shame they're no longer BYOB, since just about all the Italian restaurants in Arlington, where we live, are.
