Custom BBQ Chicken Stuffed Pie
Derek S.

This place is unreal! We showed up at 12:55 on a Saturday and there was already a line down the sidewalk. It's a smaller place that fills up fast. The service is friendly and prompt. The pizza is a true pie. Best deep dish I have found south of Chicago. It does take a while but it's worth it. We will make the drive many times for this place.

My husband had mentioned this place a time or two. Since he is a Chicago native, he was craving a deep-dish pizza that matched the quality of the best in Chicago. He discovered this restaurant and we decided to give it a try. Although it isn't a traditional Chicago-style deep dish, it is remarkably good. The cheese pull was gooey and the flavor was rich and satisfying. You will definitely need a fork and knife to properly enjoy this meal. It's definitely worth the price to experience it.

I was genuinely excited to try this place as it was very hyped up by many people online and the photos looked great. We went on a Saturday afternoon/evening, arriving just a little before 5. The restaurant is a very small space, but really cute inside. We waited about 10 min and got a table. It then took another 20 minutes just to get seen and drinks. From the time we ordered our food to when it actually arrived was about 1 hour and 15 min. Our salads didn't not come until after we were practically done with the meal. (Pretty sure the waitress just forgot to put them in) By the time the meal came, we were all pretty ravenous but excited. Unfortunately we were just met with mediocrity. Cold Alfredo sauce, pizza with not enough crisp, too much flop. Really wanted to like this place, but probably won't be back. Ok for Venus I guess. Waitstaff were very nice, but very forgetful and possibly stretched too thin.

Small deep dish pizza

It was decent. We drove down from Mansfield to Venus to eat dinner at Biundo's. My wife is a Chicago native and we both love Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. She found a review somewhere for Biundo's so we decided to give it a try. We were here on a Saturday night, around 7 pm. It was moderately busy but still plenty of seating. Our server got us seated and gave us menus. When she came back to take our drink order, we also knew what we wanted to eat. We ordered: - Two Yuengling beers - Lasagna - Small Pan Pizza with Cheese, Sausage and Mushroom The beer was cold and she also brought us two beer mugs from the freezer. Nice. The food came about 20 minutes later and it was hot. We enjoyed the Lasagna, though I thought it could have used another layer of lasagna noodle in it. Still - quite tasty. The pizza had a tall side crust. The crust on the side and bottom were crispy and pretty thin. The sausage was tasty and there was plenty of cheese. Next time, we're going to order it with more sauce, maybe skip the mushrooms and do double sausage. So while the Pan pizza is definitely not Chicago style deep dish pizza, for what it was - it was good. Our server was also quite gracious. We'd come back to Biundo's and maybe tweak the pizza as mentioned above and try a different pasta and add a salad.

Pan Pizza 14"

First time here and as soon as I walked in, it hit my biggest pet peeve. THE MUSIC!!!!! Why oh why play rock music in an Italian restaurant and as loud as it was?!?!? Ok so got past that and was greeted very quickly and seated quickly as well. Ordered two salads. One with blue cheese and the other with house dressing. The house dressing was not like Balsamic Vinaigrette but very good. Was expecting the red version. We ordered the 14" pan pizza half with Pepperoni and Mushrooms. The other half with Sausage and Mushrooms extra sauce. I ordered extra cheese but the waitress said you don't need it. When the pizza arrived she wasn't kidding. The pizza was excellent. For two of us we should have just got the 12". All in all it was very good. Will be back for sure!!! Would have been better with a little Sinatra playing in the background!!!!

Food was amazing! We had the stuffed pizza with pepperoni, Canadian bacon and Italian sausage. I've never had a more filling pizza! The mozzarella sticks were fresh, hot and so worth it... plus dipped in ranch Our server was so sweet and the restaurant is cute and had a nice family vibe.

Awesome stuffed and thin crust pizza! If you're from Chicago living in Texas, go check this place out!

This was our first time at Biundo's, and it didn't disappoint. It was recommended from friends we order a 3 meat stuff cheese pizza. They let us know it takes about 35 minutes to cook. But, Omgosh, it was delicious. Plenty of cheese, the right amount of meats, not overwhelming. The sauce was excellent. This is a cute, clean, older building. Everyone that worked there were so nice and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant and the drive to Venus

Absolutely delicious supreme pizza.

I had the pleasure of visiting Biundo's in Venus, Texas, and let me just say--this little spot on the town square is an absolute gem! I ordered the 12-inch Supreme Pizza, and from the very first bite, I knew I was in for something special. The crust deserves its own paragraph: thin, crispy, and executed to perfection. A truly remarkable crust isn't easy to duplicate, but Biundo's nailed it. The crisp snap at the edges combined with the light chew in the center made it one of the best I've had anywhere. The toppings were equally impressive. The Italian sausage was packed with flavor, the cheese melted into a savory stretch, and every bite tasted fresh, balanced, and satisfying. Nothing felt greasy or heavy--just pure, high-quality ingredients that spoke for themselves. Now here's where the experience went from great to unforgettable. As a proud Tejano, I always wonder what could give my pizza a little extra kick beyond the usual dry red pepper flakes most Italian places offer. I asked my server, Brianna (who was amazing, by the way), if she had any hot sauce available. Without hesitation, she brought me a bottle of Valentina Black Label--made with chili de árbol peppers and noticeably spicier than the traditional yellow label. Her recommendation was spot-on! The tangy, smoky heat paired perfectly with my supreme pizza, creating a flavor combo that I'll be dreaming about for weeks. Hospitality is another reason this restaurant shines. The owner, Jennifer, personally made my visit warm and welcoming. She took the time to ensure everything was perfect, and her genuine hospitality elevated the entire experience. On top of the food and service, the atmosphere deserves mention. The restaurant is set inside one of Venus's antique buildings on the town square, giving it a quaint, historic charm. Everything was spotless--from the dining area to the washrooms--which says a lot about the pride they take in their establishment. All in all, Biundo's is the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. If you're ever in the area, do yourself a favor--stop by, order a pizza, ask for Brianna, and don't be afraid to try Valentina Black Label with your slice. Between the food, the atmosphere, and the people, Biundo's is truly something special. I can't recommend this place enough, and I'll definitely be returning. Do yourself a favor and run by--you'll leave impressed, full, and ready to come back!

Historic downtown Venus and Biundo's restaurant front. December 2024

We've been coming to historic downtown Venus for quite awhile. We love old buildings and town squares and there's another restaurant here we've frequented. It's actually miles from home and now we have another wonderful destination a few feet away. Obviously this a local favorite. Humming with business, Biundo's is inviting and the walls are full of Sicilian family photos, generations of Biundos. Tiled tables and welcoming staff helped us to get comfy with a giant menu. I mean huge! We settled on pizza as first timers and onion rings for an appetizer. The onion rings came right out and they were perfectly battered and perfectly cooked. Big tasty onions. The pizza took longer, but it was dinnertime and I expected as much. Meanwhile, we saw numerous pan pizzas come out of the kitchen to ooohs and aaaahs. Things of beauty. I also saw enormous meatballs, big as softballs, two to a plate of spaghetti. We chose the thin crust Supreme pizza ($26.95) 14" and asked for it to be crispy. It came with pepperoni, sausage, onion, mushroom, green pepper, and black olive and we requested anchovies additionally for $3. It was amazing on top. Quality ingredients and really just delicious. I couldn't taste too much anchovy; but we love them and use them heavily on pizza at home. The crust was maybe a little too crispy, actually somewhat burnt, especially around the outer half. It was not so significant as to complain about it - it was not torched. The overall flavor and impression the pizza made on us was a positive one. We loved the fact that the atmosphere was so rustic. The brick walls. The original storefront and wood floors. The wood tables, comfy chairs and tile table tops. The staff was talkative and genuine. Helpful and knowledgeable. Parking is on the street. You will enjoy Biundo's. There's a kids menu. Dessert. Sandwiches. And so many varieties of PIZZA! Crustless, cauliflower, doubled, thin, stuffed and pan. Calzones! Italian entrees and salads. Appetizers of all types. We'll be back!

Pan pepperoni pizza was so cheesy and good

The service was good but the food was fantastic. Every thing was hot we had little bit of everything fried mushrooms onions ring and even a cheese burger and fries. Every thing was so delicious. We will go back

Biundo's is located in Venus, TX serving Chicago style pizza and has a BYOB policy along with thin crust pizza and many Italian favorites. I visited this amazing establishment on a weekday and was greeted with a warm welcome as soon as I walked through the door. Inside they have e a nice cozy warm atmosphere with decorations and plenty of tables and chairs to sit at. I was given a menu by the lovely hostess and she took my drink order of a unsweetened tea. As I browsed through the menu I noticed they have a nice variety of pizzas ranging from your pan, stuffed, and thin crust pizzas. They have an abundant selection of appetizers to choose from as well as pastas dishes. I went ahead and ordered the traditional pan pizza with just cheese and was told by the sweet waitress it will have a cook time of 25 plus minutes. The pizza came out in no time and I was handed a plate with utensils along with chilled parmesan and red pepper flakes. The pizza was looking stunning and all I wanted to do was snap pictures before trying to devour this magnificent dish I was staring at! The pizza was ooey gooey cheesy with bubbles of fresh mozzarella cheese just piled high beneath a fresh layer of tomato sauce that was being held by a perfectly crispy crust. After I kept stuffing my face with this cheese goodness I started to become full and the waitress went ahead and brought me a to-go box. Overall this pizza set the expectations I was looking for along with the second to none customer service that was provided. I do see myself coming back again and maybe trying the stuffed or thin crust pizza and maybe having a light appappetizer. Thanks you Biundo's again for that cheesy overload. The prices were fair and decent while the food quality and customer service set the bar!

The one connected to a Walmart that I tried was a high 6. The lady at the counter was nice. I appreciate the music in the background, so it wasn't boring to eat there. The problem I have was the food. The biggest thing for me is that the bread was barely toasted at all. It got soggy quickly and even when I said light on the mayo, I couldn't force it down. The lettuce was see-through. I've worked in food service and I can tell that the lettuce had been out for some time. The meat was chopped up to the point where it was little more than ground beef, and we couldn't taste the mushrooms. The fries were completely unsalted. At least the food came out quickly, but there's much else to praise here. I was sad I couldn't eat the entire sandwich.

From the moment we walked in, the two employees working didn't greet us or acknowledge us, and their demeanor made it feel like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. There's a big difference between basic customer service and true hospitality and this place missed both. There were also some frustrations with how orders are handled. The business charges an extra $2.50 for maybe a tablespoon of gluten-free granola, but doesn't adjust pricing if ingredients are removed or unavailable. I understand most businesses don't do this but it sometimes evens out when items are removed and unavailable. For example, I was told after ordering that they were out of coconut, which was supposed to come on my item. I was asked if that was okay, but realistically, what's the alternative in that moment? It just felt like another instance of paying for something I didn't receive. At one point, the employee preparing our order walked past us multiple times without acknowledgment to speak with her coworker, which added to the overall feeling of being ignored. A place inspired by Hawaiian culture should carry some sense of "aloha", warmth, welcome, and care. Unfortunately, that was completely missing here. We won't be returning, and that's disappointing because the concept has so much potential.
