I decided to go and check out this place before I met up with friends and thought it would be quick but boy I was wrong. My waiter was rude from the very start and gave off an unfriendly aura. But the worst part was that after we ordered it took about 1 hour for our food to come and we decided to just leave after wasting an hour because there were still 2 tables ahead of us that hadn't received their food yet and was gonna take another 15 mins. I would definitely not recommend and especially if you are in a rush. read more

A recent query on FB proved many in the area thought BB had the best Nachos in the area. I was anxious to try them. We had stopped in about 7 years ago but left after a few minutes because no one (servers) noticed us. Today, we thought we'd try it again. We sat down in the small area and I looked at my phone for the time. Not disappointed, a server arrived with menus within 1 minute. He took our order and left. Minutes later he returned with our drinks. Never to be seen again. My husband went searching the near counter for salt and pepper. It would have been nice to have him return to check on us, satisfaction of the food or refill drinks. My husband grabbed the attention of a server walking by to obtain our bill who apologized. Well, I'm just not sure what she apologized for... I heard the words; sorry, drinks and maybe server as she was turning and walking away. We paid our bill and left. I've included pics of our food. The Nachos were the worst! The Fish & Chips were amazing, maybe some of the best we've had in MT but we won't be back. It's obvious why. read more

A pub like no other. Very eclectic menu with local, fresh ingredients; absolutely delicious.

This is a must stop restaurant when I have visitors. The staff are knowledgeable about the food and drinks and are very fast and kind. The food is super amazing and I love that the beer batter is made using their beer. The 2 things I most appreciate is that they have good homemade lemonade and that their food is not too salty. read more

We've been searching for really good vegan (plant based) restaurant food. We found it yesterday. There were many options on the menu that we look forward to exploring in the future. I had the falafel, best I've ever had, and I've traveled through parts of the Middle East. It was a large patty, crusty on the outside and moist and flavorful on the inside. See menu for details about the wonderful salad that is drizzled over it on s bed of really yummy rice. My partner tried both veggie tacos but made them vegan by having the cheese removed. She was thrilled and delighted! The service was very attentive and professional. She was very present, listening and informed. Ironically we don't drink beer anymore. read more

Delicious pizzas and good beers on tap, nice place to go and relax for a drink and lunch or dinner.

It's not my least favorite brewery out of all the others in the bitterroot.... The staff is friendly. The beers are OK. This is just another brewery to check off. Try it out and make your own informed decision, but it is not outstanding and will not leaving a lasting impression. read more

Great flight tastings and food here made going here well worthwhile. Very cozy brewery to hang out and their service and waitress was great.

Not only was this the most beautiful bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich that I've ever seen in my life it was also the most delicious that I've ever eaten. The vegan Italian wrap was fantastic too. Bitter Root Brewing is also a great venue for live music. read more

The chicken tenders are great and are my "go to" when eating there. The burgers are pretty good, too, but since I don't care much for the other types of items on their menu I can only speak to those two meals. read more

What a great spot! We came in on recommendation from family members we were staying with and we were not disappointed. The seating is communal style, so depending on your group size and how busy they are, you may be seated with strangers. The beer they served was great, and they were very accommodating with requests (extra ice, smaller servings). We were told that locals will often purchase their own mug to keep at the site, to be used upon any future visits! The food was super great, especially for a brewery. We got the nachos and highly recommend them! They also serve local sodas - the huckleberry is a must try. They had just been setting up live music when we were leaving, but we're sure it would have elevated the atmosphere even more. Definitely somewhere to visit if you're in the area! read more

Good brews and upper end pub grub, I had the fish and chips this time and it was very good. 3 nice thick chunks of fis and great fries. Very nice salads and dressings. For a real treat try the garlic french fries they are delightful. I had a milkshake IPA to close the deal, could not pass filling a growler to continue the enjoyment once we arrived back home. read more

My family and I go to Bitterroot brewing a few times a year. We enjoy going a lot. We mostly go for a good lunch and the beer is pretty good too. I am a big fan of Dirt Church so a fresh pint is always a treat. read more

Came in for a random lazy take out dinner and was unexpectedly BLOWN AWAY! I'll start with: I'm a vegetarian. The last place I expect to find good veggie food is a brew pub. They will replace any of their burgers with their veggie patty (I think it's homemade) and it is HUGE (not commonly found in vegetarian fare) and amazingly tasty. I got the mushroom Swiss chicken burger sub veggie patty & I'll definitely be back again for it. I recommend asking for an extra side of their thyme aioli and dipping your fries in it. What a terrible experience. A friend recommended this place to me so went for a burger and they originally brought out the wrong burger 40 minutes after I ordered then took another 20 minutes to make the right order. A decent beer selection with a pretty wide variety of styles to try, some are better then others its really just looking and finding what you want. Service was great never had to wait for another beer they were always on top of it. The food was amazing, great burgers, loved the bowls they had, really good i would recommend picking out one of those over anything else. I've been traveling the states & parts of the world for 15 years & this is my favorite brewery. The beer is stellar & oddly what differentiates this place massively is the food & music. Most breweries have bar food. Bitterroot Brewery has food that could easily be served in a fine dining restaurant yet the ambience is super super chill. Five stars allocated for super friendly service, delicious food, great beers, lovely dining options both indoors and out, and all Covid related instructions were very clear and placed on all entrances and exits of the establishment. But I would give 10 stars for the fact that not only were there plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian options on the menu, but there were VEGAN menu choices! My family and I recently switched to a vegan diet and it has been so hard to find any truly vegan options in this tiny town, but not only were there so many choices for us and substitutions to choose from but what we did end up having was so flipping delicious. read more
