Wildwood Brewing - Breweries Near Me - Stevensville, Montana

Wildwood is a part of the Harvest Host program which is how i found them, and man am I glad I found them!! I'll start out saying that it's off the beaten path, lol, down a short path of the main road that looks like it doesn't go anywhere but it leads to this amazing building built by the owner of the brewery. The beer is all organic, with a small yet wonderful selection and you can tell it has been brewed with love and is great!! The Yippee IPA and the Ambitious Lager are both amazing. The interior of the building is a sight to see!! From my conversation with Jim (the owner) most of the material was reclaimed or locally sourced. It's absolutely beautiful! The ambiance is wonderful as you are sitting right next to the fermentation and brewing tanks and a wood brining furnace. The attention to detail that was put into this building is amazing! If your in the area and have never been you should be here, if your traveling through you should stop by for a beer or two...or three A hidden gem read more

Alright, this might sound staged... but literally the best beer in Montana and Colorado. The look inside is like a hobbits heaven with dark lit ambience which is amazing! The beer is limited, but the best beer I have ever had. Service is by the owners so passionate and caring. Such an amazing experience. Only issue would be finding this place, tucked away and out dated marketing, but with a little community help I think this place needs to be protected at all costs. Best beer in Montana hands down. Not to mention organic beer because they care about health (and fun). Pizza is amazing too. Ha. Okay I'm done. Love this place. Check it out. read more

Discovered this wonderful brewery through Harvest Hosts. will definitely stop again when passing through and would even go well out of my way to stop again. The organic beer is amazing and outstanding. The pizza crusty and delicious. i wished we lived in town as this would be our regular go to place. The Ambitious Lager and the Bodacious Bock were our two favorites. Nothing pretentious about this place, nice friendly atmosphere, great beer, good pizza and friendly owners who work like crazy to give us this gem of a spot to relax in and enjoy. read more

Wildwood wins you over with its award-worthy combination of aromatically-enticing organically-crafted beer, ecofriendly interior, community-friendly vibe, and its impressive mastery of German and American brewing traditions. This is not a fancy place, unless you know where to look: high-end milling and brewing equipment made to order or imported from Germany; ultra-clean restrooms (replete with live plants and actual natural light); weekly food, music, and film nights; and quality, beer-appropriate glassware (that get rinsed with fresh water before being filled from attractive-looking taps). Maybe it's all that unpretentious attention to detail that gets you hooked, or the first floral notes that emerge from your Maibock or Weizen, or the great artwork on the aluminum can 4-packs. Maybe it's the strawbale construction or the carved wooden entrance door or Bavaria-meets-the-Bitterroots look to the exterior. Maybe it's the friendly, worldy locals and staff who are happy to share stories and suggest beer options for that second or third round. Or the dirt parking and simple signage that directs you to the brewery/tasting room as you drive down US-93. Or the mountain views, or the cottownwoods and cattle fields and deep, blue skies overhead. I suppose that great beer tastes great no matter where it's consumed, and Wildwood beer is fairly widely available in the area. But something tells me that drinking it here, mere hopsteps from its place of birth, is really the best way to go. If you like a certain estate-grown wine you've had in a restaurant or bar, eventually you want to visit the place where the grapes grew and wine aged in cool, dark barrel rooms. Frog's Leap in Napa comes to mind. WIldwood is kind of like that, and if you enjoy craft beer while you're adventuring through Western Montana, I'd definitely add the 'Wood to your bucket list. read more

Wildwood Brewing - Got to try these! - Breweries Near Me - Stevensville, Montana

Wildwood is top of the food chain beer. Having lived in Munich, Germany and consumed some of the world's finest beers; I can say without reservation that the Bodacious Bock is hands down the best beer I've ever had. I come to Montana every summer and Wildwood Brewery is invariably my first stop upon arrival and my last stop before heading home. I'd give them ten stars if I could read more

Surprised they are still in business. Won't be for long. Only thing going for the place is their outdoor space which is not maintained very well....to put it mildly. We went figuring kids would enjoy the outdoor area to run free. Until the owner came and picked up all tennis rackets and balls putting them away saying he doesn't have the place "kid-proofed". Also, he was concerned the toddlers would break the PVC ladder ball sets. What?? News flash: breweries in Montana are kid-friendly. Not this place. It's no surprise that Blacksmith is packed and this place is vacant on a Friday night...in the summer. Go to Blacksmith in Stevensville or Fins Taphouse in Corvallis over this place any day. Will never return. read more

Best brewery in town! And that's saying something because it's not the only one considering the size of the town. Every time I visit home, Wildwood is always on my list of stops. Generally, when I see "organic" beer, I think "probably not very good" but this is good beer! I love their Bodacious Bock. It's one of my favorites. The staff and the regulars are also quite friendly which is a plus. read more

I love this place. It is beautiful inside. A lovely place to sip some excellent brew. The beer here is the best in the Valley! It is definitely not to be missed. I've heard rumor that they are brewing up the Loquacious Duck to be released this winter. This is my most favor beer of all time. Can't wait! read more

We used Wildwood for our wedding, and had a half keg. The guests were satisfied, and continuously complimented the beer we chose: Bodacious Bock. It was an easy process to order a keg, and everyone was satisfied. Thank you. read more

Beer was pretty tasty, but it's kind of a funky place and the owner could definitely use some pointers on dealing with the public. He wasn't rude, but at the same time not overly friendly. read more

I had the most wonderful beer from Wildwood!! After one beer I realized what I have been missing in other beers all these years......pure organic freshness! Wildwood beer does not have that green heavy hop taste like other beers. It truly is a wonderful refreshing beer!! read more

The Bodacious Bock is worth the trip alone. Friendly service, you're basically sitting in the brewery. Don't expect a bustling brewpub, at least not yet. They're just getting started, pay 'em a visit! read more
