Good food. Had the burger and pub chips. Yummy. Nice atmosphere. Service was... inattentive

A friend, Lori, recommended this place and I'm glad she did. The restaurant has a nice rustic atmosphere and the service is friendly and helpful. We had the cheese curds (cubes). They were not like Midwestern style cheese curds, but they were very yummy with bacon and hot honey. The cottage pie had a nice flavor although a bit dry. We asked for a side of the poutine gravy and that did the trick. I'd never heard of a pickle chicken sandwich. Yes it sounds weird. See pic for menu description. It had very moist chicken, but I did not get a ton of flavor. After I added a side more of the chipotle sauce it was more tasty. The shoestring fries were nicely seasoned. And we liked their Scotch Ale better than the Cold Smoke. We'll definitely be back to try more things up from the menu. read more

Stopped in after a day at the hot springs and this hit the spot. Shoestring fries came out fast, which was crucial for the hungry kids. Kids chicken strips were solid and beets were great. Place has a rustic feel without trying too hard, and it was very clean. Easy stop if you're coming back down from Lolo. We'd go again. read more

I went to Lolo Peak Brewing as my trip to Montana was towards it's end. Lolo isn't too terribly far from Missoula but it didn't make my hit list about a year ago when I was getting in the breweries there. So I am glad I made it back to check it off of my list. The brewery is situated on a hillside and you get a great view of the mountains from the east. There is even an outdoor seating area to enjoy this when weather allows. Inside the brewery it's charmingly rustic and relatively spacious and you still can get the views in. It escaped me that they made their own house made ginger ale otherwise I would have gotten some. But instead I got one of their beers which was the primary purpose of stopping by. What I got was the Horse With No Name Rice Lager. I do like rice lagers as they are nice and light. This one wasn't bad in that regard. Flavor features with it are crisp, a bit bitter with a dry finish. I was in need of getting something to eat and so I pursued that as well but wanted something light as I often do while on a long road trip. I got a very crisp and fresh garden salad which was excellent and what really gave it the extra "pop" was some ginger vinegarette dressing. It added a perfect dynamic to keep me engrossed in my meal to the finish. Nice brewery and restaurant to come to and unwind and relax a bit! read more

Third time here, have a family member with an allergy that came with us this time and was very communicative about her allergies and the staff doubled down on them being sure it was allergy free. 20 minutes after getting home there was an allergic reaction. All of us agreed before this happening that we wouldn't be coming back due to the awful food that we ordered for the price of a down payment on a home. Staff and cooks need to do way better. read more

We were visiting Montana and my sister in law suggested we ate here for dinner. Staff and service were really good. Place was packed but it did not take long for us to get seated. I had Greek salad and it was delicious. The portion was really but and I could not finish it. My husband had a sandwich and he really liked it as well. The skinny fries were fresh and crispy. The thing that could be better is the style of the seats. I believe it could be a little bit more comfortable. The style of the chairs and tables are not made to be seated for to long After a while it became uncomfortable. Overall, I had a good experience coming here and I would recommend this place read more

Trying to kill some time as we're waiting for our evening flight back home so decided to hit a couple breweries. This was our second & it was gorgeous! Nestled in the pine lined hillside, great views, beer & service was pretty darn good! Definitely be back when we return to this beautiful state read more

Was looking for a great lil spot to get some brews and burgers after my work trip to Missoula Montana. Just about 20 minutes away I found this little gem in the lil town of Lolo! James was by far my favorite server with the best knowledge of beer and things to do in Lolo! I was happy I got to taste a lil flight from this brewery. James along with Lily, helped me feel welcomed in this small town and I had a great experience! If you ever have a chance to visit I'd definitely recommend: Beer: No Salmon and the lager! I love me some good beer And definitely try the Blue Montana burger ( if you love blue cheese!) read more

fantastic find! recommended to me by friends at Blue Mountain BnB. gorgeous outdoor shaded patio with lots of lawn games for kids. inside is a rustic cabiny atmosphere, lots of bar and table seating with a hipvibe and very friendl, accommodating staff. best part is the kitchen! had the banh mi tacos with freshly made chips and their own signature dip (corn, beans, ???) which we're out of this world! well worth the trip! read more

This place is amazing! Super yummy food, fresh! And the beer is incredible. Tons of flavors and choices. The vibe was super friendly, causal, and lively. You can order an appetizer and beer OR so what we did: order a flight and meal. You won't be disappointed. The view is wonderful as you look out over the scenic mountains of Lolo, while you concurrently view the latest sports on some big screen TVs. read more

Hubby and I stopped in for lunch on a Friday afternoon and it's a cool spot. The waiter was friendly and we had good service. Food wasn't too bad, the clam chowder didn't have any clams but the potato kegs they have are killer and my new fave !! The steak sandwich was okay, had too much arugula and was overcooked. We would probably go again. read more

I don't get it. The first time we went and got hamburgers ;perfection! The second time, not quite as good, but it was ok. Third time, the burgers were so over cooked, it was like leather between the buns. The beer is always good, but I definitely will try something other than the burger. The pretzel bites are the best I've ever had, so I'll stick with those. read more

What happened? You used to have great burgers, but what you serve now is what I'd expect from a convenience store. Pre-made frozen burgers should not cost $17. Disappointing, especially compared to what you previously offered. read more

Stopped by this local brewery on the way to the Missoula airport. Last lunch in Montana and we couldn't have picked a better place. Love the location and the ambience. I ordered the Bison burger with bbq baked beans and let me tell you it was worth it. Huge burger and bun! The burger was cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed the beer bbq sauce and crispy onion rings on the burger. Next time I am back I want to try the tacos! They looked delicious. I've been to this establishment several times over the years, as they are close to the home I own. Their food is mediocre at best and over priced, service is ok. What is rather concerning is the fact they have no shame in insinuating that someone is trying to hog and jog after a meal when they have paid and left a tip. This might be understandable If the place was busy, but since there was only a few people in the restaurant on a Tuesday afternoon, you would think they would have a better handle on open tabs etc. To be approached by a staff member and asked if you have paid for your food when you are trying to leave is offensive! Not even the decency to apologize after approaching a customer in such an accusatory manor is not acceptable. If this would have been two caucasian teenagers and not a Native American and Japanese coupe that came in this would not be the case! Profile much???! read more

This place has definitely improved since last time we visited. We went for late lunch on early afternoon and the place was pretty busy. Put our names on the list and went for a drive around the neighbourhood. Total wait was about 20min for our party of four. We were seated at one of their bench tables - bench was wobbly but we managed. Was pleasantly surprised to see that their menu choices have increased. Since we were starving, opted for their nachos, pulled pork burger, buffalo salad and Buffalo Mac and cheese. The nachos were super tasty and love that they used cheese sauce instead of just cheese which made eating much easier than traditional nachos that clump up once cheese is cold. My husband loved the pulled pork once he removed the jalapeños - they were spicy! The buffalo chicken was pretty spicy as well and the crumbled blue cheese offered no relief but if you like spicy, you will love it. Looking forward to trying other dishes on their menu! read more

Stopped in for lunch on our way out of town. The patio was super cute, lots of shade available, and the view was amazing!! I got the huckleberry saison and the summer IPA and loved both. The huckleberry saison was very fruity and refreshing. For lunch I got the BLT chicken Caesar wrap with fries. The wrap was loaded with filling and had nice grill marks making it crisp on the outside, the fries had a nice seasoning on them and were hot and crispy. Wish we lived closer to make a return trip!! read more

Cool brewery on a warm winter day. (16 *f) The decor is rustic log cabin lodge feel to it. Staff are friendly and quick with a recommendation. They can handle large groups if needed. Food is good I have eaten here before. I would recommend the wings or appetizers. I chose the salami, goat cheese and tapenade with bread. Did not care for the flat bread, it would be better with baguettes or toasted French bread. I did like that you can order each item individually. read more

Three of us had 3 different burgers and three different kinds of potato sides. We all left very satisfied!

Good food, drinks and service. The Chicken BLT Caesar Wrap could have had more Caesar flavor, but overall not bad. Sweet potato fries were very good, as were the regular fries that came with my husband's Lolo Burger (not pictured). He said the burger was very good, too. We had the pear cider and 3 Needles IPA, which were both delicious. I think the waitresses were a little overwhelmed (probably understaffed) but still did a good job. Prepare to leave with multiple souvenirs from the gift shop area, too. read more

Good atmosphere | Good hangout place $ This is a cozy place to grab a couple of beers with friends and family. There are two levels so you can seat more people upstairs. Apparently in Montana, they give you tickets to keep track of the number of beers you've had -- good idea! It's so that people drink responsibly and can get home safely. We had good service and our waitress was friendly. She said she was originally from California and moved out to Montana to go to college. Bathroom is nice but is for one person only (upstairs). read more

food was above average. Service was below average. waitress didn't want to be there. my biggest complaint is with credit card fees. was a surprise to see additional fees added to the bill. Probably 90% of all patrons use credit card and this business must make 100's of dollars in these fees each night. I would rather see the true price of the meal without "FEEs" added!!!!! read more

Our third time here, not once has the kitchen staff got the order right. Server has to APOLOGIZE CONSTANTLY, NOTE: This has never been the servers fault, not once. What makes this rating a 1 star also are the Flies, I understand eating in the Patio your going to have Flies, but, inside the restaurant, Unacceptable! the owner should sit in the dinning room for 30 minutes and experience just how bad his Fly Situation really is. read more
