She took our info. and told us a man named Hassan would reach out to us for an appointment and swing by. Days went by, we never heard from Hassan. We called back a second time and she told us this time she would have Steve the owner call us back, but we never heard from Steve either. Days Later, Hassan called and left a VM, but by then we found another company from Waltham that came by immediately the next day to assess the situation and make recommendations. I am wary of chemicals - particularly in the house given two dogs - but felt assured learning they are deeply educated and even design extermination plans for hospital interiors. I have wanted to move out of this house, honestly, to never see a centipede again and we could not find anyone who would help with this issue because they are considered "good" insects. Discreet sympathized with my general suspicion that centipedes are actually monster demons from, like, the seventh circle of hell. And at that point, no one thought this was a simple DIY project -- what, were we going to smack it down with a baseball bat and run for our lives?!? But we didn't want to use any toxic chemicals -- we have a small dog and there's a daycare right next door with little kids always running around in the yard just downwind. Thankfully there were a number of pest control companies in the area, and when we reached out to several, Green Planet Pest Control responded promptly, answered all our questions, and were able to schedule something within a day or two. The guy who came out to our house wore appropriate protection gear, and got the job done without any toxic chemicals that would've been bad for our dog or kids nearby. He also advised me on what product to get (a fairly pleasant-smelling natural spray with peppermint oil) to keep spraying in the area if I saw any return buildup, that would dissuade the wasps from sticking around.
