Dreaming about this place as I write this out. We went here two times during a week period because it was so incredibly good. Some highlights are the warm cinnamon rolls, the tri tip sandwich (it's smoked outback!), and the breakfast potatoes. Even though I feel like those are my highlights, everything that we had was so incredibly delicious. My fiancé and I took turns passing back and forth the burger and sandwich we got for lunch. I made a phone visit 30 minutes before pick up. When I got there to pick up the food, the line was out of the door so I walked over to the pick up counter to grab the food and leave. The girl who was running food out of the kitchen to the counter and calling order names was so rude. We told her we had a mobile order. She seemed to get upset almost? And yelled at us "we don't do online orders" and walked back into the kitchen. We didn't say we had an online order... because we made a phone order. We all looked at each other like in disbelief that she yelled at us like that. I started walking out to leave; I was totally fine with going else where at that point. The cashier stopped us from walking out and apologized and gave us the food, The girl running food from the kitchen to the counter had an opportunity to apologize as well but didn't. Probably embarrassed? Don't plan on being back because of her. Wild that you would yell at someone for trying to pick up a mobile order. Visited a few times since last review. A lot of good here. Food is good. Ambience is nice and cozy. Beer on tap. I just can't let a couple things slide. First the service: while competent, the girls working there always seem sour and cold. It just detracts from the experience. Also the prices: seventeen bucks for a burger and fries is steep. Lastly, and it's a bit picky, is that the Mayo is in packets as if it were a fast food joint. A cute, quaint little spot with great potential but that's about it. I want this place to succeed in town like any other, however, our visit was less than desirable. If you like fancy coffee drinks at Bay Area prices, this place is for you. If you want good breakfast food, this isn't it. For us we only went here on this day due to the other breakfast place being closed (this was a weekday). The loaded scramble was NOT loaded at all. I had to search hard for any contents. There were only a couple of very tiny onions/bell peppers, didn't see any cheese and NO bacon at all, just some bland frozen sausage patty cut into pieces. The potatoes have no flavor at all and the eggs are cooked dry. They should be embarrassed to serve this NON loaded scramble. The French toast was not cooked all the way. Raw egg still covered the bread. We did get an ample amount of scrambled eggs but again on the dry side. Bacon is good but small in size. Prices are very high for meals that are missing almost all ingredients and not being cooked thoroughly. Also you order at the counter and sit anywhere which is great but they don't staff enough to keep up and it takes forever to order as the counter girl takes your order then either starts making it or has to go to the back to tell the chef the food order. Then when you're done you clear your table and scrape your plates...I'll support the other breakfast place over in the Big Trees shopping center as the food is MUCH better read more

This is a go to place in the community. Tasty food, friendly service & gorgeous outside dining. The owner and staff are constantly improving the experience. We had a wonderful walk on the Arnold Rim Trail that has a trail into the Cedar Center and lunch here, Yahoo! The dog gets to hang out comfortably while we dine (with a full water bowl) and back to the Trail and the Logging Museum. We've also had a chance to see live music here in the summer. really wish i could be writing a better review, because i very much like this business. having worked as a corporate trainer for a coffee chain i really do have to review on this coffee. This was a dairy free latte with caramel syrup. it came out as a espresso over warmed milk with caramel (actual, with milk). while i am in total forgiveness of not being cognisant of the presence of dairy in Caramel, the preparation of the milk is what bothered me. the purpose of a steaming wand is not to simply heat milk, but it is to separate the water and sugar from the fats of the milk. to achive this you typically will angle the tip of the wand at the edge of the milk in the jar to heat and agitate the milk. water and sugar form at the top as foam, and the fats sink to the bottom. use a spatula or spoon to strain pour the fats, top with foam optionally for decoration. instead the wand was placed into a stationary jar and left to run. the jar was pulled before the milk even came to temp, and any separation of fat was not achieved. this would be "ok" for a $3 cup, but into unreasonable on a $6 cup. the flavoring was also poured before the milk without mixing which sank the flavoring and prevented a consistent flavor profile. i feel terrible leaving this review on a local small business, my intention is not to rip it. the customer service is excellent, the people warm and genuine. but attention needs to be paid to training on the espresso bar with a fundamental focus on "why am i doing this?" for process, as the fundamentals are lacking or misunderstood. read more

We were looking for coffee after snowboarding at Bear Valley and stopped here after looking through the entire town of Arnold. We headed to Bistro Espresso to pick up some BBQ for our family. We had an overall great experience. The food was delicious! We got a little bit of everything which included, the chicken, tri tip, ribs, salad and a burger. We also shared all of the delicious sides. As for the food, some of the highlighter were, the tri tip was thinly sliced and so good. The bacon burger was probably one of the best burgers I have ever tried. The ribs were also amazing! The meat was falling off of the bone. We ended up sharing all of the food, so everyone got a little taste of it all. In addition, the space itself is super cute. The two girls at the front were quick and kind and answered mine and my sister's questions. We tried their flapjack plate and their chicken fried steak plate. The flapjacks were thick and the size of a plate and had cinnamon cooked into them. At first we weren't sure if it would be filling but halfway through we were more than full. The chicken fried stake was crispy without being soggy and the gravy went well. We got potatoes on the side and they were also really good, could've maybe used a tiny bit more salt if anything. 5:23 PM I walk in and ask if they can accommodate a party of 8. They said there's a table outside but it's 40 degrees so I ask if I can assemble a table my self and they said yes. Great. My family and I spend about 15 mins trying to decide what we want and when we're ready we go to the front and order. The bill was $186 as we're preparing to pay, the cashier tells us "oh by the way we close in 30 mins". Ok well we decide not to proceed with the order. I've eaten here before. It's good. One of my favorite places to eat around caravelas county, the coffee is always delicious and the beet salad is perfect. The bistro has a big parking lot and a nice outdoor seating. They offer hot breakfast dishes made to order. They were only taking cash when I went, which is annoying, but there's a bank nextdoor if one needs an atm. There's plenty of parking. I don't really make reviews, but let's say this the Bistro burrito sausage. The potatoes were cooked perfectly. The flavors were all there. My wife had flapjacks with eggs and sausage. We went to this restaurant yesterday and the food was really good so we returned today. Today they used powdered or boxed eggs that were not tasty and made me really sick (powdered eggs always upset my stomach). I wish I had been warned. My husband will eat nearly anything and he took one bite of his omelet and said it tasted "off" so he threw it away. It was way too crowded to complain to the staff about the meal today.
