Mmm griot konplet
Nancy A.

The food was okay but the only thing I really enjoyed was the macaroni and they didn't give me enough of that. The rice tasted almost burned.

From the start, we were promptly seated, and our waiter Mason was fantastic: friendly, attentive, and made sure she felt comfortable ordering. Having been to the North Lauderdale location before, we wanted to see how the Davie spot compared and it delivered. My sister had no idea what to expect, but she absolutely loved it. The fried shrimp came out crispy, flavorful, and not greasy, and the sweet potato fries with cinnamon butter were such a pleasant surprise. We also tried the crawfish, shrimp, and sausage in the Mr. & Mrs. Crab special sauce packed with flavor and consistent with what I've experienced at their other locations. Portions are generous, the vibe is relaxed, and my sister is already talking about her next seafood boil. There was one small hiccup we ordered extra corn and didn't receive it with the initial meal -- but the team was very apologetic, I wasn't charged, and it all worked out. The Davie location sits in a plaza, so parking is easy. The space feels open and spacious, and they even have an area planned for karaoke and private events. Overall, a fun, flavorful experience that I'd definitely recommend. Where food meets adventure, see you back at the table! IG: @shallonztable Review #1 - 2026

We love Cajun food, so we were excited to try it, and the gumbo did not disappoint. I was starving and completely forgot to take pictures of the étouffée my bf got, he said it was good, definitely creamier than traditional, which made it a bit of a risk for me since I'm allergic to dairy. I had a Shirley Temple, and my boyfriend had a Bloody Mary that he said was good... although I have to say, the green bean garnish threw me off a little I've seen some wild garnishes, but that one made me laugh. I got chicken tenders with tots and red beans and rice everything was solid. The music was great, the atmosphere was lively, and even with the rain keeping us off the patio, we had a great time. We'll definitely be back to check out the outdoor space on a nicer day.

The food was solid across the board. The shrimp and dirty rice had great flavorwell seasoned, a little smoky, and the shrimp were cooked right, not overdone. You can tell they're actually trying to put some thought into the dishes instead of just throwing something together. The deviled eggs were a standout too unique presentation and a good mix of creamy and savory. Drinks were on point. The cocktail I had was smooth, balanced, and looked as good as it tasted. Definitely not one of those places where the drinks are all looks and no substance. Service was good, no complaints there. Everything came out in a reasonable time and the staff kept things moving without hovering. If I had to nitpick, I'd say it leans a little more toward the vibe and presentation than being truly unforgettable food but it's still a strong experience overall.

The service was great. We had a very attentive waiter who was really nice and helpful. Unfortunately I don't remember his name now. The best item we had was the beignets. They were amazing along with the ice cream. The first bite had my eyes rolling in the back of my head. Honestly I could have had a plate of those and nothing else. There was a homeless person bothering us because we ate out on the patio. I wish management could have said something. Otherwise, sitting outside was nice.

There were some customers there, but the place still felt very empty and honestly a bit boring. It was very quiet. There was music playing, but we could hardly hear it. The TVs were on, but with no sound, which didn't help the atmosphere. We were seated in the booth area where the other guests were. They had a 2-for-1 drink special, and the waitress was friendly and helpful. She let us know we didn't have to order the same drinks for the deal, which was nice. I ordered a passion fruit margarita, but it didn't taste like passion fruit at all. More tart than sweet. I didn't love the flavor, but I will say the bartender was definitely not stingy with the liquor. My friend ordered a Bahama Mama and had no complaints. I'm not a big seafood person, but I do love wings, and that's where Crafty Crab won me over. I ordered the 10 piece sweet chili wings, all flats, for $10.99, which alone is enough to bring me back. The wings were hot, fresh, and flavorful. My friends also enjoyed their lemon pepper wings and drinks. We originally came because we heard they used to have karaoke on Thursdays, which would have been perfect for the size of the venue. When I asked the waitress about it, she said she didn't know why they stopped. That's unfortunate because this place has so much potential. It's a large venue with good wings and cheap drinks, they're really just missing a vibe. Even playing music through the speakers would make a huge difference. Overall, I'd return for the wings and drink specials, but I hope they bring some energy back to the space. Based on this experience l'd give it a 3.5

The beautiful Red Snapper were on the front bar straddling an ice mound perfectly situated next to the mega sized oyster display. We sat at the bar and took advantage of the Happy Hour food and drink specials. Ordered a Margherita and a craft beer in addition to the fish dip, Mahi Mahi fingers and the thai kaboom shrimp. The food was good but the crispy pita type chips perfectly complemented the fish dip which added a uniqueness to the meal. One of the bartenders was shucking those mega oysters in front of us which added to the experience. Live music began and consisted of a 'one man band' named Jamie who had a shiny trumpet, microphone and a digital song list generated on an IPad. He was fun and took song requests, although his voice and musical skills were questionable. Unfortunately, all of the tap beers were not available due to unknown reasons, but the bartender, Ed, found a few great craft beers in cans and bottles from the cooler. When we got there the hostess immediately asked us if we're one of the "late ones" that hasn't shown up yet. We showed her the email that states to come whenever yet she still argued it with us that it starts at 7:30. Also, the email states that you have to pay a $20 fee per person if you don't order food....yet they never mention that you have to order $20 worth of food PER PERSON. On top of that, there's a lovely $8 fee if you share your meal. Food portion was tiny and my shrimp meal had plastic in it. When I mentioned this to the waitress, the chef came out and argued that it was shell, to which I physically picked up the plastic and stretched it to show it was definitely not a shell. At the end of the meal we received our check and were informed that there is a "service fee" AKA the waitress added her own tip onto our check (she physically wrote in the tip on the check and even wrote the total). We were never informed about any service fee until the end of the meal. Extremely disappointed. Will not be going back.
