Be careful with this place if you care about your money!! They are NOT transparent with their pricing at all. I recently had my hair dyed here, and although the stylist was very nice and friendly, they charged my card twice while having problems with the "system", then when I asked for a refund, they added numerous extra fees that I was never told about. For example "a highlight scoop and toner, both of which were about $40 each, and I assumed would be included in the service.... base price for my highlight appt was $225 to start. I ended up getting charged around $155 twice. Going back and forth with the owner was a joke. Never got a refund back. I personally wouldn't recommend you going here if you want a good experience. read more

I found Bishops Cuts on the Wigs for Kids site as I was wanting to donate my hair and tried to find a stylist. It was on a whim and I wanted an appointment that very day. Luckily for me, Avery had an appointment at 545p. I had a to wait a little bit as Avery was finishing with his previous client. I told Avery I was donating the minimum 12" and that he had creative freedom with my new haristyle with the parameters that I am lazy and do not put a lot of effort in my hair daily. Avery understood and gave me the cutest haircut. I went there hoping for a decent haircut after my neighbor had messed up my hair. All I wanted was for her to even up the layers. I left and went home to find that it was worse than when I went in. I called to go back to get it fixed and she even messed it up more. Do not let Sam touch your hair. I would not post bad reviews unless it was really horrible and it is awful! My hair looks like a 2-year-old cut it. And I paid close to $60 for this. I have no choice now but to let it grow out because it is so extremely short and choppy in places. After reading reviews here and on Nextdoor I decided to give Roger a try. I was desperate for a cut, and he happened to have an appointment Saturday morning and I jumped at it. I'm so glad I did. I don't know why it's so hard to get a great cut at a reasonable price, but I am always disappointed after I get my hair cut. Not this time! Roger was amazing and gave me exactly what I wanted. He even anticipated what I wanted. The cut lays perfectly even when I air dry. I am a huge fan. Fast forward to Sunday night when my 5-year-old daughter decided to cut her own hair. Oh boy. I felt confident that Roger could make it less awful. Not only is it not awful, it's actually super cute. He's a wizard with scissors and he was so amazingly great with my daughter. I've been to bishops a few times before and never had a bad experience but this time really made me want to share how wonderful this place is! First off, this place is SO welcoming. Everyone is delightful. Some salons can feel so uppity and snooty but this felt cozy and kind. Secondly, LEXY!! She was absolutely incredible. She did both my haircut and also my husbands. She told us everything she was doing and answered any questions we had. She was so sweet and kind and was the perfect amount of talkative and knew when to just be in the moment. I already have had so many compliments on my hair and my mom (who is hard to please) told me this is my best haircut yet. Like I said, I've never had a bad experience here. Went back to get my color fixed a month after Tina did a balayage. She claimed the reason it was all different shades of blonde was due to new growth. In reality it's because she's too slow with foils so it lightens to all different degrees. Within a month I've spent close to $500 and still want to cry. Went to Sally's beauty supply and the woman couldn't believe I had paid someone to do such an amateur job. Super patchy - all different brightness and poor blending at the roots. There's nothing wrong with this establishment in particular. It's very clean, well lit, and the staff are extraordinary. However, one stylist in particular; Becca, isn't the preferable one out of the group. I've had multiple experiences with her and each time I come home to find bits and pieces out of line with the rest of my fade. She also seems to apply too much pressure onto the skin because my neck is all cut up. There's a red scratch with a couple smaller incursions on the other side that did break skin. The colorist is a lovely human being. Kind, doesn't get ruffled easily, seems to get along well w/ her peers. She also seems to pitch in around the "salon" (calling it a salon is being VERY generous, as it provides no experience or atmosphere anywhere close to a spa or salon). However...and this is a huge however, I would not return to this location. I think there is a major management issue. Some stations were dirty, disorganized, dusty, cords everywhere. The bathroom had overflowing trash and was filthy. My stylist brought her puppy and while he is adorable, he shouldn't be chewing on cords, eating hair, picking up wheels (which, why are there wheels sitting around?),and peeing, twice, on the floor. She obviously went outside to smoke twice during our appointment, b/c her breath and hands wreaked of cigarette smoke. Certain staff members are VERY lazy and did nothing but sit at the front desk, run out for drinks, or go outside (which necessitated my stylist answering the phone, which took away from my appointment). It's obvious no management is policing this location, which leads to dirtiness and laziness. As an aside, my colorist did...okay...with my hair...nothing to write home about. You can't tell from the front or sides that she put pink in and so it's clustered, oddly, in the back. ?? A huge waste of $270. read more

I followed my stylist here from Floyd's. This location just opened within the month. It's easy to find in the lowry town center off Quebec and kitty corner to orange theory. My stylist knows blonde color and particularly transitioning dark hair to blondes/grays. She has helped me save a ton of money and nailed my gray blonde color and style. It's definitely unique and I get tons of nice comments on it and gals asking who does my hair and color. Note if you're looking for someone to help you to transition to blonde and nail that icy gray blonde, Kaitlyn is it! She's also part of the mgmt team and continuously educating on color and styles. I noticed they don't take appts but you can put your name in the que online. It seems to work out perfectly because by the time you request an appt and show up they're ready for you. If you're going to see Kaitlyn for color, you can call to schedule with her directly - just ask for her. The color line they use is Wella - much healthier than you'd expect from a chain, but also the range of toning products are on point which is what you need if you have similar color to me. I was a bit hesitant because I've never gotten my hair colored and been very satisfied with the result. I called and got in the same day. I went in for a fairly drastic change (dirty blonde to rose gold, long hair to bob w/ bangs) and expected to be coaxed out of it, but my stylist, Yazmin, did exactly what I wanted, no questions. She even took the time to put a little extra color in my hair after it had already been washed because I was a little nervous about the color of my roots. I really appreciated that she wanted to it right and not just get me out of the chair as fast as possible. I have gotten so many compliments and feel GREAT with my new color.
