Initially I was so excited to come get my hair done here based off all of the amazing reviews. I was seen my Coco, my hair was supposed to be a honey and I walked out with red/copper tones. Mind you, my hair was already light walking in and no box dye. I wrote her and she said it would be an easy fix and she asked me to come in that following day. Immediately I can tell she was annoyed - I paid over 370 for this service (which I'm already working on getting back) she could not fix it that next day and put me on a take two. I come in yesterday 4/22. She doesn't walk up and say hello, the whole time she's foiling my head I can just feel how upset she was she had to fix my hair...that she messed up on. I am aware we all make mistakes and granted was so nice about her mistake and reiterated I wasn't upset I just needed it fixed. I was there for about 2 1/2 hours maybe this third time and she had complained to other stylists how I was her third person she was fixing today -then speaking about another client who booked and why does she need to fix a girls hair when it's another hairdressers client, etc. She spoke to the front desk lady so unprofessional and she was just trying to do her job. The overall vibe and mood just made me shut down - she finished my hair and I just didn't have it in me to speak up, it was so yellow and platinum in some spots (attached are pictures of my hair at first and after) and I just was nice and left. Thankfully The Arch Salon downtown fixed my hair last night. Every other stylists seemed so sweet and nice but my experience just wasn't this. I want to start by saying my hair looks amazing and I have never loved the color or feel of my hair more than I do since coming here. That aside I want to talk about the staff and experience more than the amazing hair that I'm enjoying. I booked an appointment after a horrible let down where another salon in my area did not keep my appointment and cancelled on me last minute and I was so sad and was just going to not get my hair done for a very important trip. EVERY one of the staff there as kind, and welcoming and the people who worked on my hair listened to my story an then made suggestions and gave me options that I could go with and made sure it would fit in my budget and it was so nice and completely worth the cost, which was honestly NOT that expensive. That being said unfortunately they were experiencing a water line break right where this location was and they had to go just down the way and buy large water bottles from the gas station and have one person pour (very cool water) while another shampooed/rinsed your hair. They handled this so seamlessly and gracefully and made the experience so wonderful despite those troubles. I cannot even imagine going anywhere else now to have my hair done by amazing people. read more

I went into this place for a root touch up. My roots were dark drown, and I came out blonde. During my visit, I mentioned multiple times that blonde tends to turn red and brassy on me... she kept going saying that blonde will hid my grey better. Even showed a picture of what my hair normally looks like. Responded with, we can tone it to that. Also was told that she doesn't cut shorter hair. Proceeded to trim just a few pieces and sent me on my way. Granted o was charged for a cut and blowout/ which are not included in a color service-- so much $$$$ Two days later- I was miserable with the outcome:! Not only was my hair bone dry and brittle, it was a mix of orangey blonde with visible stripes of brown underneath. all of this for close to $400!!! I called to complain, and they set up an appointment to have me come in for a correction. Nope- just more toner.... Didn't even blow dry my hair and sent me out looking like a wet dog. Because blow drying your hair is extra, even with a color service--- and apparently even if they messed up your hair. I've been having my hair professionally done for close to 20 years and I've never had such a horrible experience. And through all of this the constant upselling for products was ridiculous, your hair is brassy- buy our purple hair mask.. Here's an idea, how about you fix the issue you caused and quit trying to get more money out of me ! I had my hair fixed yesterday by another salon and she was shocked at what they did to my hair, and also at the price and how they handled my situation. Her comment was, you would've been better off using box color. ‍ I struggled even giving 1 for Thai experience and I never leave bad reviews--- but this whole experience lacked expertise and quality customer experience . That and the lady who fixed my hair suggested I leave a review to avoid other people getting their hair damaged like mine was. I haven't gotten my hair done by a stylist in over 10 years. I was SO nervous and traumatized by a previous experience and I've always felt like an outsider in salons. Within 2 visits, Coco changed my entire perception about hairstylists and gave me hope again for my hair. I cannot recommend her enough. The vibe in this salon reminds me of a sort of Miami meets Denver. The product that they use is exceptional. I am obsessed with how my hair smells. Best part of my year by far! I had one of the best curly haircuts I've ever gotten, thanks to Rainie! I have a lot of fine hair, so it usually sticks together and lays flat, but she worked her magic and gave me the perfect layers. Now my curls have volume and bounce again without feeling weighed down. I have been having a hard time wanting to write this review. This past September I went to get a shorter bob. Wanted something shorter than what I already had and I had multiple inspo pics and videos (all from the same person that I found on TikTok) to get multiple views as to what I wanted. I came out extremely disappointed, all of my thick hair gone, and I thought I was fine and ok with it until multiple people in my life have told me how bad my hair looked. I am an Asian girl who had the sudden urge to go short and blonde. A little trendy right now, I know, but I wanted in on it too! I came across The Glam House randomly on IG and stalked their page a bit and fell in love with their work. I made my appointment for a consult with Ivana and she was SUPER friendly, so warm, so cute! Confession: I secretly judge how someone who I'm trusting my hair to looks. I hope I'm not alone in this, but I think it's only normal you want your stylist to have good hair too if you're gonna trust them with yours, right? Anyway, after a short consult about what I wanted done with pictures in hand, Ivana made me feel confident that it would look fantastic! I came in for my appointment about a week later the day after this bomb cyclone did a number on the city. The power was out at the Glam House, so their heater was down. Their lights were flickering a bit, but the natural sun that came in through the front windows were all we needed to get started! Oh and at the end of the day during my pm appointment, they ran out of hot water (nothing a glass or two of wine can't help with). Against ALL of these crazy odds, Ivana took her time, heated up some water in the microwave and everything for me, even gave me a nice head massage likely with numb hands and did the damn thing. Guys, I am in LOVE with my hair. My rooted blonde hair looks amazing - we went with a beige blonde and it looks even better than I ever expected. During the consult, she said it may take 2-3 times to get blonde since my hair is dark. But it is kindaaa perfect! I have vowed to take care of my hair moving forward, so I have another appt scheduled 8 weeks out for a trim if need be and I think I may go evennnn lighter. I cannot recommend The Glam House and my new fave Ivana enough. I've seen the other fantastic ladies' work too and it definitely looks like they have a quality team in there. I've never been one to leave a negative review, but I'm honestly not happy with the service I received here and think others should be aware of what they're getting into. To start, they're very overbooked. One stylist will be working on multiple clients at a time, frantically running back and forth between both, so you're left there wondering if they forgot that your highlights have been processing for a long time or the toner has been left in your hair for too long. To help with this, they have their students, or stylists in training, working on your hair when they're working on other clients (but you'll still pay full price/$250+ even when the actual stylist isn't even the one doing your hair. For this, you might as well go to an actual salon school and pay half the price). I had my hair partially highlighted and cut two weeks ago. I showed her photos of what I wanted. I'm naturally very light, so my hair highlights easily. She toned me to be VERY yellow, so I went back in this weekend and asked her to retone it. I just wanted to be a bright creamy blonde. She of course had the student work on my hair while she was off dealing with other customers (salon was chaos). The student took her time painting the toner into my roots and around my face. Eventually, the stylist noticed her doing this and came running over to apply the toner to the rest of my hair, and told the student she shouldn't have been painting them just around my face because then that area will be much more toned than the rest of my head. After it was all applied, they let me process for about 15 minutes. The stylist told me she didn't have time to dry me, so I left with soaking wet hair. I noticed when I got home how grey and lavender my hair looks now (exactly what I told her I didn't want). Especially around my face frame (where the student painted the toner) that part is much more gray/violet than the rest of my head. Now my hair looks dull and grey, rather than the nice bright creamy blonde I wanted. Was a very poor service. Be prepared to pay expensive salon prices, for student level work. And to have your hair messed up because they've over booked clients and can't give you the full attention you deserve when you're paying that price. Now, I'm going to have to go find someone else to fix my hair (for the third time). read more

Goldie worked on me and MY GOD along with her super cute outfit, and wonderful personality, she was so TALENTED. My curls are blonde, bold, and still super bouncy and healthy. The whole environment and vibe of this place is awesome. Just watching all these beautiful ladies making all the clients baddies too is great. You didn't ask for a haircut but somehow the question "can I trim a little?" Turns into a full blown upcharge. All of the staff were very clean and professional (did temp checks and require mask for appointment ). Oceanna cut my hair, and i couldn't be happier her customer service was great she listened to what i wanted and referred to the pic i brought in for reference to insure i was happy with the end results. Since moving to Denver, I have been to Glam House 3 times. My first two times were with Kassandra who was absolutely fantastic. She is the reason I kept coming back. My third time I had to schedule with another stylist because Kassandra was already booked. I ended up scheduling with Jos because I looked at pictures of her work and thought she was very talented. I did like the way she cut my hair but I feel she could have been a little more professional and our conversation didn't make for a good experience. I was especially disappointed because she said my hair was super dry and that she "couldn't even brush or 'do her thing' because it was so dry" and that it was probably the Target products I use. You would think she would have given me tips or recommended some products...but she didnt. Thanks for the feedback I guess?! Lol Also the comment she made about the problems with the pricing in Colorado skyrocketing because "you guys (Californians) are all moving here" was kind of aggressive and wasn't appreciated... read more

I'm disappointed to have to write this review. I hardly ever will write a negative review. I am new to the Denver area and asked around for a great hairstylist. A couple of classmates recommended me the Glam House. I decided to book my appointment with initially Elizabeth. I was super excited because as a gift, my boyfriend asked to pay to treat me to a hair day. I also had gone with glam house because I loved that I was able to book it at a later time. Unfortunately, when I arrived they told me they left me a voicemail and that my hairstylist needed to reschedule because she was out sick and unfortunately for me, because I am in school, I didn't see that notification until they brought it to my attention. They let me know I had the option to reschedule or to be seen with another hairstylist that stayed later in case I showed up. I went ahead and stayed because I wasn't going to be able to really reschedule this appointment again until after I graduated which would be at the end of March and I just really wanted my hair done, to have a day to myself and relax and to feel good again about my hair. My hairstylist that I saw was Goldie. She was great towards the end of my appointment. I was disappointed in the beginning because I felt that she didn't really ask much about what I had going on and what I personally liked to have done. I have gotten my hair professionally done for the past 5 years. I am 25 years old so when I realized getting my hair done correctly and paying good money worth, that it would usually be worth it and that it was about investing in my hair. I believe you pay for what you get. I usually ask questions as well when I am in an appointment, I like to know how I should ask for my hair cuts for future reference and hair colors and what to look out for. Also, I would much rather have a hair stylist tell me they can't give me what I want in a picture that I'm showing them, then to try and give me the hair color/cut and damage my hair even more in one sitting. Trust me, I'd rather have it done right and pay more. Overall, I felt the appointment was rushed because they had an event to get to after they closed. I don't believe my hairstylist had her lunch yet either. Because when I arrived, food was dropped off for her (which I felt bad for because I'm sure she was starving!) but instead of putting it away right away it laid out along with my personal belongings. Also, when I met my hairstylist I wasn't asked if I would want my coat hung up or my belongings put aside. It was again, left out. Which I feel is not sanitary. When we agreed that what I wanted was an all over color, a hair cut and my hair blown out she then took me to get my hair rinsed and to put color in my hair. I did not get a robe put on me until after I had gotten back into my chair with my hair color on my hair already. Usually you should put this on as soon as someone is in your chair and you've agreed on what is going to be done in the appointment but I'm assuming she had just forgotten which is unfortunate because I could of had my cloths ruined. It saddens me to write this because I left feeling really good and happy after seeing my hair. But, unfortunately when I got home and after a couple days I had finally washed my hair. My sister and classmates had pointed out I had some blondish/lighter ends still left in my hair. Which is not what I wanted at all. I wanted an all over color to cover all the blonde I had and to have an all over brown. Again if I needed to have had to come in for more sessions to cover my blonde I would have. But that was not the case or that was not discussed at all while in the chair. Then another couple days pass and I put my hair up and I see a longer piece then the rest that does not look good and as if it was missed when getting cut. Because of these issues and not being happy about my hair, I went ahead and called to be seen again so Goldie could fix it. I was embarrassed calling because I've never had to do that but, I know my boyfriend paid good money to get my hair done and if it wasn't what I wanted at the end of the day then I needed to get it fixed. So when calling I felt that whomever answered was very unprofessional. Instead of saying things like "of course" "im so sorry this happened" "let's get you in the books right away" it was more of "um ok who was it you saw" and just throwing out random dates and times right away Instead of listening when im letting them know I can't be seen earlier then 4pm. I will be going back this week and getting my hair fixed in hopes that it was an off day for the salon. I am used to a different environment, hospitality and professionalism. So maybe this isn't the place for me. read more

I was looking for a place to get mine and my girlfriends hair done out here since we aren't originally from Colorado. Saw that this place had high reviews so I decided to give them a call. A woman answered the phone and everything was going ok (she wasn't very friendly to begin with) until we decided not to go with them due to being a little bit out of our budget at the moment since it's holiday time. As soon as we let her know we can not schedule the appointment and thanked her for her time and apologized she was very very rude to us and then hung up on us. Highly highly unprofessional. Whitney is not only a delight but she is a hair master. She gave me everything I wanted and more. Very unclear about extravagant cancellation policy and poor customer service/communication from the receptionist.

I came in about two months ago and usually see Whitney who is great but the assistant working with her got my hair tangled in a mess. It was obvious she had no idea what she was doing when blow drying my hair. I thought I would give the salon another try this week. I made an appointment online for 9 AM and got a call when I was inside the salon at 9 AM asking to reschedule the haircut for 10 AM. No one inside the salon could talk to me or apologize for the inconvenience in person? When I came back at 10AM the receptionist asked if I had already gotten my hair washed. I obviously had not if it was dry. The assistant washing my hair and the stylist did not apologize for what happened with the scheduling. When I went to check out and pay, I asked if I could just use the card on file since that is what I did before and she tells me no there's a card on file but you still have to give us payment. What is the point of having a card on file if I can't use it to pay? Then this morning when I combed my hair, the left and right sides were uneven. You have very incompetent assistants and receptionists working in your salon. I will not be coming back in!! read more

Been going to this salon now for 7 years +. Unfortunately after talking to the front desk person and the person I believe is to be the manager person for the salon. I have decided that being called a bully after I tried to nicely ask the girl at the front desk what this extra charge was for I somehow did something wrong. To my surprise it was because another person other than Alexandria blow dried my hair. So I was charged an extra 50 dollars to have my hair blow dried. I tired to ask why no one told me I was going to be charged that. If they had told me I was going to be being charged extra for that then I would have been able to decline the blowout or said that fine. I was perfectly fine walking out wet. I realize I was late and had to bring my kids because Alexandria is only at the Mississippi location on Mondays and Tuesdays. Leaving me with no other options. They offer me a discounted price so I try to work on those days she has available. I try to keep my kids quiet and I try hard to never let them wander around. Or bother other people. They are very good and stay with me. I wish I could find a sitter so I didn't have to bring them as I never want to impose on anyone. Yet, unfortunately, since I can remember going there everytime I go to pay I am charge with lots of surprise charges and none of them are anything anyone discusses with me and I went over my receipts they emailed me or texted me over the last few months or so and I am finding lots of charges I was never told about. They quote me 300 everytime even though they know about my discount. In fact , at my last visit they told me they would put the discount in the computer and that way I wouldn't have to ask everytime, but everytime they try to charge me 300+. I get that people make mistakes and things get forgotten. But everytime at every visit? No. That's just horrible communication and completely disrespect to the client. It's extremely disappointing and dishonest. I was in tears as I talked to the manager as I honestly would have been fine paying the 50 if someone would have just told me. to call me a bully and then belittle me on the phone and be mad at me for their mistake was horrible. All I did was try to calmly figure out what had happened. I will not be ever going to this salon ever again!! Please check your receipt and things before giving them your card!
