This will be my forever breakfast place with my dog. They welcomed us in with open arms, more my dog than me haha. They sat us in the patio and brought my dog a water bowl and even fed her. The food was excellent, fresh, tasty, and a lot of it. What I had issues with was that it was a bit warm in the restaurant ummm we were sat down right away but no one greeted for about 5 minutes. It was a week day around 1pm so not very busy. Our server probably checked on us once after we got our food and then gave us the check. Lovely brunch spot! I've gone in person and had their food delivered. I personally love the vegan French toast and the vegan breakfast burrito most. They also have a mimosa flight which I thought was so cute! This place says it's family owned since 98' but the location looked new inside. A good amount of seating, but it was jammed packed! Service was excellent. We had steak and eggs and the strawberry salad with biscuits. Also grabbed a mimosa flight for $18 and an espresso martini, it's 5 o'clock somewhere! Heard about this place from a friend that recommended it so we gave it a try. We had been here before but when it was a different restaurant. The location looks basically the same as the previous restaurant. It's a relaxed vibe with a nice outside area. The garage doors were closed and it was a bit warm in the restaurant. We got there at a perfect time, we were sat right away. I ordered a Lemon Drop Flight and the hubby ordered a Margarita. They said they had enough mix for just one. The Lemon Drop Flight was good, it was a bit sweet but good. For breakfast we ordered The Country Omelette, a Veggie Omelette and Turkey Bacon. The Turkey Bacon was extra. Hubby ordered biscuits for his side and I did the pancakes so we could try both. The biscuits were thick and the home made jam was decent. The pancakes were good. Our service was good. I have to update my previous review. We have gone back prior, but it was the same as before. But, my husband wanted to try it one more time today. It was very good. He had the chicken fried steak breakfast and myself there Original breakfast. Our favorite Biscuits is the one on Thunderbird. You go there and it's consistently good. Live review! Starting at 5 stars, we'll see how it goes. Walking in, it is a very well lit, welcoming space. Simple decor, warm wood tables and accent wall, and a really neat wooden cactus tree thingy! And a little industrial touch, by leaving exposed brick and what looks to be some bay doors in place from the building maybe being an old garage or auto service place. And a soft folksy music channel to set the tone. I like the vibe for sure. We were greeted with a smile and some friendly conversation. And the server, Julisa, had some water and coffee on the table in no time. Julisa was also knowledgeable about the menu and had good suggestions for the wife. I didn't need them since when I review a place that claims to be a cafe, I always get the hash--which I was assured is prepared with corned beef made from scratch! And you know I ordered the biscuits! So far, no reason whatsoever to lower the stars. Coffee is really good, btw. Nice medium roast, not bitter at all. Okay, let's talk food... crazy good! Seriously, I have zero bad to say, except maybe about a personal preference but this is hardly the chef's fault--I like my hash with a little sautéed peppers and onions. Besides this, the hash is made simple, from a delicious, perfectly cured, pulled corned beef, and some simple seasoned potatoes. An over easy egg on top of that, what more could you want... peppers and onions? lol. I ordered my hash with fresh fruit, since the hash has potatoes, and the fruit was indeed fresh, sweet, and delicious. The wife is having the avocado hollandaise, which is everything you would expect it to be, not to mention looking amazing before she dug into it--I need to start taking more pictures for these reviews, lol. Well, they have earned the right to call themselves the "Biscuits Cafe" for sure. So light. So buttery. Sooooo... had to fight my wife off a second ago as she keeps trying to eat them!! They are also a beautiful golden brown on the top, giving them a wonderful... and my wife just spilled her drink all over me!! Seriously, Diet Coke, all over me just now, lol. Good times. Anyway, the biscuits were insane, and they came with some scratch made strawberry jam! Side note, Julisa was back with adequate amount of paper towels and a wet rag in a flash to help clean up the Diet Coke, and told us an amusing story of her first spill on a customer while doing so -- which to us, sounded like it wasn't even her fault. We ordered the biscuits hash, country fried chicken, loaded potatoes, pancakes, orange juice and coffee. The food was portioned well and had great flavor. Much more tastier than your nearby iHop! I really was excited about visiting Bisquits Cafe... then when I walked in the noise level was unreal. The music was way more than it should have been for 8am. I thought to myself I am here for the food so I will try to grin and bear it. We had two in our party and there is a small bench for those waiting to be seated. If you have a large party you will be forced to wait outside in the Arizona sun. No shade nearby by the way. We stood for 20 minutes and then the bench was available. My 80 year old mother was happy. We did wait 40 minutes for our table. Metal chairs in case you're wondering. Not butt friendly to say the least. Our waitress took our order. And then we waited another 25 -30 minutes for our food. Now my mom's Vegetable Omelette was very good although she was hoping for more than two small pieces of avocado. Her hash browns were nice and crispy and delicious. I had the very lackluster bland tasting breakfast sandwich. Took a couple bites and pushed my plate aside. I couldn't stand to have it in front of me I was so unhappy. The coffee was hot but we had to look for someone to get refills which was disappointing. I don't think I will be giving Biscuits another try. read more
