I was ordered by the court to participate in co-parenting counseling through COPE, which effectively left me with no practical alternative provider. Prior to beginning services, I was informed by Megan that the cost would be approximately $45 per session. I was later surprised to discover that I was being charged approximately $160 per session instead. When I raised this concern, Megan Van Carpels advised me that she would investigate the discrepancy and recommended that I request reimbursement. Despite multiple communications, I never received a follow-up or resolution. I was ultimately directed to contact Headway on my own, leaving me to navigate the issue without any meaningful assistance from the organization. I was equally disappointed with the quality of the counseling services provided. My sessions with Isabel often lacked structure, guidance, and actionable feedback. Rather than facilitating productive communication, identifying areas for improvement, or helping develop effective co-parenting strategies, many sessions consisted primarily of passive observation. As a result, I found myself questioning the value being provided relative to the substantial fees being charged. For a service that is frequently court-ordered and intended to support families during challenging circumstances, I expected greater transparency, accountability, professionalism, and therapeutic value. Instead, I was left frustrated by the billing practices, lack of follow-through, and overall quality of the services received. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this organization.

When we finally did get our individual therapist, it's someone who doesn't even have their license, but just a trainee. She was so miserable to talk to, she had the worst attitude, and I wonder why she's even working in therapy? This company sucks, I pray to God I never have to go through them again, and I would give them zero stars if I could. They do not actually care about making situations better, they care about court ordered therapy so that they can get their check. That's all I have to say about this joke of a company.

They have a lovely children's waiting room. They host events, fundraisers, drives, social activities for donors and clients throughout the year, especially treating clients well on holidays and back to school. So far I am not especially satisfied with the services I have had. They did provide funding for me to have an employment coach, but due to issues that shall remain confidential, I am currently unemployed, and getting a job has been put on the backburner while I sort things out. I live on my own but my parents continue to support me financially. It's difficult for people in my situation to get help tailored to our needs. I am higher functioning than the majority of their clients are, but my anxiety has made obtaining and maintaining employment a challenge. The services they have told me about really don't sound like they would be of much use, as they are more for people who aren't able to care for themselves and struggle with basic life skills. Then there's the issue of them never seeming to have my current information on file, despite me giving them the information multiple times. A few years ago I changed my phone number. I gave them my new number, and in addition I changed the voicemail greeting for my old number to say that I was no longer taking calls at that number and to please call me at (XXX) XXX-XXXX. But for some reason my new number never made it into their system. They do have my email address, which hasn't changed, and I do periodically receive emails from them. The date of my annual case review came and went and I didn't hear anything from them, either via phone or email. Finally I called them to ask what was going on. It took several weeks for my case manager to get back to me. When they finally did, they told me that, because they hadn't heard from me in a while and were unable to reach me because my phone number had been deactivated, they closed my case. They told me they emailed me about it but I never received any emails. So I had to go through the process of reopening my case. Then about eight months ago I moved. I gave them my new address, and my case manager came to my house, both to assess my living situation and go over various stuff with me regarding the services they can provide. Since I'm not currently seeking employment, I didn't sign up for any services. My case manager said they would check in with me every three months, but several months went by and I didn't hear anything from them. Then a few days ago I received an email saying that they tried to send me a letter by mail so it was returned to them, and they scanned it and sent it to me in an email. When I looked at the address, I saw that it was my old address, where my parents are now living. They are my emergency contacts, so sending stuff to that address normally wouldn't be an issue since my parents would just give it to me. However, the reason why the letter was returned to them was that they misspelled the name of the street! The USPS didn't recognize the address, hence why the letter was returned. I don't think that this was the case manager's fault, since they visited me at my current address (not only that but they never visited me at where I was living before). So whoever is in charge of handling the information they have on file needs to make sure everything is up to date. I check my phone and my email on a regular basis throughout the day, so if they were to contact me, I would get the notification. Like a lot of other organizations, while they are coming from a good place, they are poorly managed, and as a result are difficult to work with.

I appreciate that Seven Bridges offers both 25 minute and 40 minute sessions. The scheduling process can be a little cumbersome if you need to reschedule and I really wish they would post their schedule of vacations and closures on an annual basis, but aside from those logistical items we were very happy with the care we received. We've worked with at least 5 SLPs over the past 2 years and Olivia was by far the best.

It offers various programs including character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts, and sports. My Site Manager and her husband have been personally involved with this very worthy organization for years. My company is also a long time supporter and many of my colleagues volunteer many hours of their own time (including some periodic food bank work). At one time many years ago, I served on their Board of Directors. However, I have had no direct involvement with the Boys and Girls Club of Martinez for several years. I just got busy with other charitable activities closer to home. The Boys and Girls Club of Martinez also organizes various fund-raising events throughout the year. These have included, a Crab Feed, the annual Auction, the Pete Ginocchio Memorial Golf Tournament, Power Lunch, and the Day for Kids. These events are not only enjoyable, but are attended by various interesting and very caring members of the greater Diablo Valley community.
