Bubble Tot Cleaning

From beginning to end, Bubble Tot made navigating and completing the cleaning service for our…read morestroller, bassinet, and infant car seat a breeze. They advised on which services were necessary, offered bundles to save me money (which is always a sign of a great business when it's a small business!), and even took into account our specific sensitivities and allergies when it came to cleaning products. Their turnaround time is almost unbelievable but the finished products speak for themselves. Everything arrived cleaned, dry, and bundled all back up. We were worried we would have to buy all new gear for baby number two since it had been in storage for a while but Bubble Tot saved us time and money by making everything feel like new once again. I feel so secure knowing I can install these well cleaned seats in our car since they are Child Passenger Safety Technicians and take commitment seriously. We will be using them for all of our cleaning needs in the future!

They were able to fit me in earlier than expected and were so kind, quick to respond, and incredibly fast with the cleaning. Our car seat and stroller have truly never looked this clean -- my husband actually said they look brand new! They even included the sweetest little goodie bag for the kids, which was such a thoughtful touch. I will absolutely be recommending them to all of my mom friends and will definitely be back! Such an amazing and helpful service for busy parents who don't want to spend hours taking every piece and part apart, cleaning it, and then trying to figure out how to put it all back together. 10/10!!

My husband and I just finished the 12-week Positive Parenthood course in January. We signed up…read morebecause we were at a loss as to how to handle our 3 and 6 yo daughters who were having conflict with each other and us. We as parents were exhausted and out of patience, and we couldn't agree on what steps to improve our parenting except to take this course together. Working with Chelsey was nothing short of life-changing. I know my husband and I did the hard work, but Chelsey gave us a framework on how to approach our kids with positivity and presence, how to create rules that work for parents and kids, and how to create a fair, respectful and nurturing environment for all in our home. With the techniques we learned, we transformed meal times, getting out the door the school, and bedtimes. We are more joyful in our parenting and have reclaimed time for my husband and I to spend together to reconnect. Things aren't perfect now, but all four of us are more joyful and connected compared to a few months ago. I highly recommend this course to any parents who feel stuck.

It has been such a gift to completely change our relationships with our kids by using Chelsey's tools. Over the past few years, we have followed up with Chelsey to continue fine tuning and working through problems. She has been so patient, supportive and encouraging. If you are wanting a new approach to not only parenting, but a better version of yourself, working…read morewith Erika is a must- truly incredible. I believe the only way, we as parents, can change the world is by changing how we parent. We can not expect our children to embody anything we haven't managed to model ourselves on a day to day basis. Raising a child is hard if you want to do it right, and what parent doesn't. Erika helps you to think about things you may not have. I'm grateful to Erika for sharing her knowledge of conscious parenting and being such a vital guide on how to be aware of the effects of our unconsciousness in regards to parenting. Every session has been filled with practical and insightful information. Not only will you be able to change the way you parent but, more importantly, how to change yourself. Erika was the first to ever ask me to consider why I wanted a certain behavior in my children. After trying to be a more conscious parent for just a couple of weeks, I'm already noticing that some of the power struggles are almost completely gone. I realized that we are parenting from goals that are based on outside results rather than from a place of true connection. I want to have a lasting impact on how my kids take care of themselves, each other, their environment, how they show compassion, tolerate differences, handle their emotions, create, invent and be innovate. I believe the tools Erika gave me to work on myself will help me achieve all those goals. She gives great examples and possible dialogues to use during tug of war times with your kids. She even gives personal experiences to show what works and what probably doesn't. I am also very grateful for the many e-mails including materials and links for my specific interests and needs. It has been such a great experience working with Erika and I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to becoming a more conscious parent.

I began working with Erika because I was intrigued by Dr. Shefali's conscious approach to…read moreparenting. I was feeling challenged by my four year old, and I knew my current strategies to handle difficult situations were not serving either of us. I wanted to learn how to have a better relationship with my children, and in turn, myself. I also wanted to learn how to better nurture my kids so that as they grow older, they will be able to look within for guidance, rather than relying on external forces to dictate how they feel and what they need. Erika was masterful in explaining and guiding me through the conscious parent model. She explained that the focus was on acknowledging my patterns and behaviors, rather than addressing my child's shortcomings. Erika forced me to look at my energy and expectations, and provided concrete examples about how to address difficult situations. In doing so, I learned that I had to monitor my behavior, and that at times, it was important for me to take a break from a conflict in order to think clearly. I also learned the difference between stone and sand boundaries--a distinction that was extremely useful in defining my expectations for myself and my children. Erika is also very real. She shared strategies that have worked for her and her kids, and is always thinking of new ideas about how to stay ten steps ahead of children so that we don't put ourselves in compromising situations. While I am not perfect, Erika provided me with new skills to resolve conflicts that actually work, which is creating a deeper connection with my children. I also believe I am learning to honor and cultivate my children's unique gifts, even though it may not be easy in the moment. As my parenting journey continues, I am forever grateful that I am moving forward and evolving consciously while choosing behaviors that will honor and support my children.

We joined…read moreher playgroup class when he was only 4 months old (over a year ago) and he's thrived so much because of it. Our weekly play group-classes have provided invaluable social skills, bodily coordination development/learning, and parent education; my now one and a half yr. old is thriving, confident, secure & super coordinated! Christina holds a 1.5 hour class, almost all free play, with simple age appropriate objects/toys in a light-filled play space (at Then Comes Baby in Oakland). The RIE principles that she teaches has supported my son's natural development; like letting him roll, crawl, walk, etc, at his own natural pace as opposed to propping him up or helping him in ways that might by-pass his own learning & discovering. It's been such good practice to learn to let them figure things out on their own and resist the temptation to "help" or interrupt their natural curiosity and frustration as they learn new skills and limits. Of course we also get plenty of practice of setting boundaries for and with our children as well. This group has really helped my partner & I have a healthy and balanced parenting style and reduced our stress as new parents. The community of babies and parents has also been super sweet; you don't have to do this alone! Christina is experienced, knowledgable, and very encouraging. I highly recommend working with her!

From the owner: Respectful Caregiving: Balanced Families, Secure Babies…read more Respectful Caregiving is dedicated to supporting families with babies and toddlers throughout the Bay Area. My work is inspired by Magda Gerber's Educaring® Approach (RIE®). This Approach encourages trust in the infant for knowing how and when to develop. We caregivers do not consider it our responsibility to "teach" children how to move, play, or learn. Instead, it is our responsibility to provide a safe environment conducive to self-initiated play and discovery. The Approach places emphasis on the quality of the nurturing relationship between caregiver and child, and has many specific suggestions for how to make that relationship as respectful and cooperative as possible. Parents using the Educaring® Approach report significant a decrease in the perceived burden of parenthood, and a corresponding increases in their confidence and enjoyment as parents. Children raised with this Approach are emotionally aware, confident, graceful, creative, independent, and secure in their sense of selves. I offer RIE® certified classes such as Before Baby™ and Nurturing Nanny. I also offer sleep consulting, parent coaching, nursery design/babyproofing, workshops, and individualized nanny training.
