We signed up…read morebecause we were at a loss as to how to handle our 3 and 6 yo daughters who were having conflict with each other and us. We as parents were exhausted and out of patience, and we couldn't agree on what steps to improve our parenting except to take this course together. Working with Chelsey was nothing short of life-changing. I know my husband and I did the hard work, but Chelsey gave us a framework on how to approach our kids with positivity and presence, how to create rules that work for parents and kids, and how to create a fair, respectful and nurturing environment for all in our home. With the techniques we learned, we transformed meal times, getting out the door the school, and bedtimes. We are more joyful in our parenting and have reclaimed time for my husband and I to spend together to reconnect. Things aren't perfect now, but all four of us are more joyful and connected compared to a few months ago. I highly recommend this course to any parents who feel stuck.

It has been such a gift to completely change our relationships with our kids by using Chelsey's tools. Over the past few years, we have followed up with Chelsey to continue fine tuning and working through problems. She has been so patient, supportive and encouraging. If you want a better relationships with your children and a calmer household, check out PP. It is so worth it!

She is a great resource and we continue to follow up with her. I feel confident now that I have more tools to address parenting struggles.

The theories resonated with me, but I was having a hard time putting the theory into practice. When I heard about Lisa's class, I was apprehensive about the time commitment (seven 2-hour sessions), but I decided to give it a try. I think that was one of the best decisions I've made as a parent yet. The 7 weeks flew by and by the end, I found myself craving even more. Through role playing and a series of really powerful demonstrations, Lisa taught us about parenting with kindness and firmness (as opposed to being authoritarian or permissive). We covered a wide range of options for non-punitive solutions to common parenting/behavior challenges. We also learned about teaching our kids self discipline, problem solving skills, responsibility, self-reliance and cooperation, among other things. Some of the concepts that most resonated with me: "Asking vs. Telling" ("Where do your shoes belong?" instead of "Put away your shoes."); "Connect before Correct"; and especially the idea that children do better when they feel better. I hate role playing, but it was unbelievably powerful to role play being my child and also to practice different parenting techniques. The classes have transformed the way that my husband and I interact with our son. We all enjoy each other so much more now and there's a lot less conflict. This doesn't mean that we're letting him get away with more. We're just involving him more in problem solving and making him feel like he's a contributing part of the family. Things certainly aren't perfect and we certainly still experience non-compliance and temper tantrums, but we feel more much prepared to deal with these challenges now and we're less likely to get angry. I'm really appreciating the progress we've made and I'm enjoying the journey of parenting much more now.

We've attended her series on sibling rivalry, consulted with her for one on one coaching (for both career and parenting matters now) and are looking forward to her eight week tele class on Positive Discipline. She curates truly helpful content from experts, coupled with her own smart methods and leads you through it in way that builds confidence. We consistently leave our time with her having gained practical tools - many of which have led to a measurably more peaceful home. Some of our favorites are Bugs and Wishes (curbed sibling bickering substantially) PESOS (respectful communication which yields results everyone feels good about) and her overall training in Adlerian theory has been a game changer both in our home and professionally. We all need a friend who truly listens and provides practical support in the roughest moments of parenting and career matters. So glad to say we have found both in Marcilie.

As insanely nervous as I was at our first session, her compassionate approach immediately put me at ease. Dana is very warm and approachable, making it easy to open up! Dana took the time to understand how I think, helping me gain awareness of my feelings and providing me with numerous techniques to counter negative and intrusive thoughts. When something wasn't working for me, she offered new approaches and worked to understand my viewpoint. I now have a toolkit of strategies to manage my mental health more effectively. If you're looking for a therapist who genuinely cares and can make a real difference in your life, I highly recommend Dana. I had a lot of anxiety at that time as well, and I really feel that with working with her helped me get through it. I've been going to her ever since, and though my recent move makes that more difficult, I've been continuing to reach out for guidance, advice, and to talk things through when I'm having trouble navigating something. Dana is incredibly kind, understanding, and empathetic and generally a wonderful person, but she has an incredible way of connecting to work through things in a way that feels natural and right to you. In every difficult situation I've gone to her through, she has always helped me lead the way in figuring out what feels best for me in my life. There was a point where I had difficulties in my relationships with my dad, and she suggested a joint session, and my dad still, two years later, talks about how wonderful she was. I'm certain that she connects just as well with everyone she works with, all manner of different people, because it's just who she is and how good at her job she is. If you're looking for coaching that's more self-guided so you can develop effective tools, goals, and strategies through difficult situations, or even just advice and support through your every day life, I would wholeheartedly recommend Dana. She's worked with me through different moves, schools, relationships, friendships, and I feel like I've come through it all a much more confident person, better able to navigate it all.
