My family absolutely loves this place! We have been coming here for the past three years! The food is always excellent, and the customer service is outstanding. I recently had an issue with a cancelled Uber Eats order, and while Uber Eats was no help at all, Danny from the store went above and beyond to resolve it for me. He was so helpful and kind! We'll definitely keep coming back -- my whole family loves Birdcode, and we even order from them at work. Everyone raves about it!

Code breaker tenders

Great chicken! Fresh chicken, clean fryer oil, really amazing to watch the efficiency of this place. Didn't care for the code breaker. While it was extremely spicy which we loved it was simply all heat with no flavor. The chicken itself was great tho, seasoned well. Great homemade ranch. Mac and cheese was underwhelming imo. Fries were good, shake seasoning was sweet to me. I'd definitely go back but would only buy chicken, as prices aren't cheap and sides weren't anything special.

Enjoyed this chicken spot a lot. Service here was quick and the cashier was so friendly to us. There was some Chive trivia on the TV so we could play along as we ate. I like the fire chicken murals. The spicy chicken is so good here, I enjoy the spice level "hot", but the codebreaker is right at the threshold of pure pain. We got the chicken tenders, a side of the mac and cheese, as well as a single codebreaker tender with a side of the comeback sauce. The banana pudding is such an instant relief after the codebreaker. Highly recommend, you get a bottle of milk too if you need relief from the heat. Will be back for the strawberry milk

Service was great, the ambiance was nice and clean and the food was really really good! I got the hot honey chicken sandwich. Heat level Hot. With fries and a lemonade. The chicken sandwich was super good! Crispy fresh hot and flavorful. The hot honey was a great touch for this sandwich. The fries it came with were also crispy and flavorful. I'm glad that more chicken joints like this are popping up. It blows alot of fast food chicken sandwiches out the water. Hope they open a bird code in Bridgeport someday!

Came here to try the hot chicken. Clean restaurant with friendly staff. I order a chicken sandwich and it was good but it was very oily. Also ordered a birch beer and that was delicious. Another cool thing they do here is trivia right on the tv in dining area.

"Only got this moment, you and me Guilty of nothing but geography Close your eyes and see And we'll be birds flying free" (Coldplay) Nashville Hot Chicken is still blazing hot, at least in terms of its popularity and spicy heat levels. A perfect example is BIRDCODE, because when I swung by for lunch today there were zero parking spots available. Their menu is a treasure trove of chicken choices- sandwiches, nuggets, and tenders. All of them are prepared in your choice of heat level (country, mild, medium, hot and code breaker). It all depends if you want zero cayenne pepper, or something between a sprinkle and a downpour of cayenne on your chicken. Fries, bowls, salads, and sides round out the menu, so you really have a tremendous choice for your meal. After I ordered, I took a seat and a few minutes later my food was delivered to my table. I went with the Green Bird - a salad of shredded Kale, shaved Carrots, and Red Cabbage topped with three medium spiced chicken tenders served with Apple Cider Vinaigrette on the side for $14. The chicken was terrific. The tenders were big and meaty and the medium heat level was plenty for me. Bottom line? The food was very good, as was the service. Oh, and the dining room has some very cool painted artwork.

Sandwich and wings!

So take away is the way we have always ordered, through the app. Being able to select arrival time makes ordering here easy. Updating my last review because there are menu updates like hot honey and nuggets which were not part of the earlier review. A few of my family members like the Mando with varied levels of heat. My youngest likes the strips. I am a fan of the Hot Honey 2.0 at medium level. Hot if I am feeling rambunctious. Crinkle fries rock and the mac n cheese is great. I think this place has become better as they go! Can't wait for Canton to open! My only drawback is my 10 mile drive to the store, and dinner is usually around the end of rush hour in Hartford and WeHa! Love Birdcode!

The Sando - With 1 Side

Wow!!!! Talk about AMAZING chicken!!! I ordered the Sando with one side dish (Mac n Cheese)! I ordered the Mild - it had a good kick but not TOO spicy. My friend ordered the second hottest and he was sweating lol so, if you don't like extreme heat, try to Mild or Medium spice levels. Chicken was very flavorful and juicy! 10/10 recommend! The Mac n Cheese was soooooo creamy and delicious! Highly recommended it! Will say though, the chicken sandwich is VERY filling! I might just go for it without a side next time. The service was great too! They were very helpful and kind, ensuring my order was shellfish-free. Food was prepared fairly quickly. Seating area was great too (options of high bar chairs or regular chairs with tables). Can't wait to come back for lunch or dinner!

Hot honey chicken and Shake Fries

Wow! Talk about a phenomenal sandwich! The hot honey was so delicious. Tender, full of flavor (I got mild and it had just the right amount of spice.) the fries were also great and they have birch beer! The employees were knowledgeable and friendly. Plenty of seating in the clean dining room but I bet it fills up fast at lunch and dinner. Reasonably priced meals that are tasty in every bite! Oh and that sauce!!! I used every drop!

Interior done by Corey Pane- beautiful!

Just went again and was amazing as always. Food was gone so quickly forgot to take pics and just had to get a snap of the banana pudding, which was also excellent!

Amazing staffs (Wayne and another I don't catch name and fast turnout of food. Got me and my son Sandi's with medium heat! Amazing flavors packed into the sandwich. The sweet tea was good too! Gotta come back again.

Recently visited this place in West Hartford. The place had a few tables inside and a couple outside. A lot of the volu.e I saw was for pickup orders. The day I went all tables were taken and it was busy. Guy at the register was frie day, no complaints there. We got the tenders and classic sandwich w mild heat. This was definitely the right level of heat as it was spicy but not too hot. Definitely you need a drink to eat comfortably. I felt the chicken was on the greasy side, but that's just my opinion, with that said the chicken was very good. We also got the season fries which were good too. Food was hot and fresh which was good, not your traditional fast food joint. Good overall, would check again in the future.

First off, the ambience of the place is fairly nice though you would not know it from how many of the other patrons choose to attire themselves. If you're looking for a upscale, dining experience, other patrons would suggest this is not the place for you. They started off by attending to put us at the wrong table per our reservation. The table was apparently filled, and they moved us to a different table, which was perfectly fine as it was a nice booth with a window right next to the table. They then gave us several menus from which to choose, which was confusing as there were so many different menus with similar food options, including brunch, menu, a burger, menu, a dinner menu, a Mother's Day, special menu, and the regular menu. There were also two separate drink menus. We started by ordering some drinks and an appetizer of the meat and cheeseboard for the table. We put in our full order at just before 12:59 PM and the meat and cheeseboard came out fairly quick. Overall, it was the best part of our time at the restaurant. With regards to our main meal, we had ordered an eggs, Benedict, a children's pancake and bacon, special, and a steak and eggs meal. That was apparently a mistake as it took them over one hour six minutes before the food hit the table and when it did, it was a mess. The medium rare steak was cooked to a well done with the eggs being extremely messy and not very runny for over easy. The potatoes were dark and charred in places, but we're not crispy by any stretch of the imagination. The Canadian bacon had not been rendered well on the eggs Benedict and one of the two poached eggs clearly had not been poached appropriately. Also, my daughter indicated that the syrup was way too sweet, which was especially surprising as she is someone with a sweet tooth. The pancakes themselves were extremely dense and unfair and served on a plastic tray missing one of the size that was supposed to come with the order. It is clear that the kitchen does not know what they are doing as I was the second person in a row to have issues with the cook temperature on my steak, a problem that appears to carry over to other aspects of the meal as well. At the one hour mark, I've been so frustrated. I had requested to speak with a manager and he was actually the one who brought out the food to our table. There was a good four minute gap between two of the meals being brought out and the third meal, which is what my wife had ordered for her Mother's Day brunch. By the time the eggs Benedict came out, I showed the manager my stake and eggs, and he agreed that it was cooked to a well done rather than the medium rare I had ordered. I had overheard the exact same issue on the next table over where the older woman had not gotten her meal until nearly all seven others at the table had completed their food. At that point, I sent back my steak and indicated I did not want it to be remade as I was done with the place. Shirley, thereafter, I was clear the rest of the family was of the same mind as the meals were a mess and cooked improperly. The manager eventually came over and indicated that he is going to take care of the entire CHUCK which makes sense sense more than 75% of the food ordered had been uneaten or inedible. The service was no better as waiters and waitresses would walk by and failed to refill empty water glasses, even though they would look right at the empty water glass and would have pictures of water in their hand at times. One waitress went to five separate tables around us, including table she was not serving and failed to fill our water, but filled water at other tables. Our waiter was also missing an action for a good portion of the meal. Despite having the meal taken care of, I did leave a small tip for the waiter, though nowhere near what I would have had the service been even somewhat competent. This is a major disappointment as the last experience I had at this restaurant for dinner had been so positive it convinced me to book the place for Mother's Day brunch. I'm not sure if this was a one off situation but I would never recommend a return to this place based on the experience I had this day. What's worse, our reservation appeared to fall between two rushes as we were the second table in the rush that showed up about 10 to 15 minutes after our arrival at the place. As such, our food should've been fairly quick and coming out but others who ordered their food more than 20 minutes after our table received it with no problem. I have to say that the Taco Bell we had as result of this poor food service was Myles and Myles better than the food experience at the restaurant itself.

The main feature is locally sourced fresh ingredients prepared in an unusual way. I loved the crispy soy/maple salmon on a bed of hash consisting of brussel sprouts, potatoes and celery root puree. My wife Statler chicken was crisp and juicy. But you can also get incredible looking sandwiches. My eyes locked onto the cod reuben. How unusual, yet easy to understand. Entrees stay in the mid 30s, so don't expect a cheap night if you add an appetizer, wine and dessert. (Btw, ask to tour the wine closet). However, farm fresh food is worth it to me. The room is good looking and comfortable. It is a little noisy with all the happy people, but not too bad at all. I will be back. And I will bring my picky friends visiting from New York.

Holy 6 pound baby Jesus they were good. They came out piping hot and the cheese was in a bubbling side dish. This isn't your typical dab of cheese in a plastic condiment container that is commonplace nowadays. I had the Arturo Sandoval (spin on a Cuban) as my entree and it was also fabulous and came out hot. If I was being critical, the pork was a wee bit dry, but that happens sometimes and it really didn't take away from the sando. Even the small side of pasta salad was outstanding. I'm lucky if I eat sides like that 1/100 times and this one I couldn't wait to finish. Great vibe, great staff, great food, and live music almost every day. Definitely gonna go back and if it's just as good will update to 5 stars.

The place looked spacious and with a lot of light, it looked clean and they seemed to have a nice selection of wines (for those that like it) , they were displayed for people to see, which I thought looked very nice. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and I found it odd that there was only 1 restroom for the size of the restaurant. Our waiter was nice, he took our order and we were excited. The food took a VERY long time, we were starving, and we had kids with us so that wasn't good. Some of our orders were wrong and so unfortunately we had to wait even longer for the right meal. We didn't order alcohol but we did older a couple of mocktails. I was SUPER excited for them because that's something I always appreciate at a restaurant. I'm sad to say that they were AWFUL!! straight up syrup, not bubbly (some were supposed to have soda in them) not sweet, simply not enjoyable at all, I ended up switching it for a simple club soda, I figured it was a safe bet. When my food came out, it was ok, I had the avocado toast, and it was forgettable, my sister had the chicken and waffles and now THAT was the meal to get, it was large in portion and that chicken was beyond tasty!! My other sister has the lomito sandwich with the chips and it was good, something missing but she enjoyed it. The rest of the food were burgers and they were ok, the kids had burgers and Mac and cheese and they were not tasty according to the children's disinterest in barely touching their food (and they love cheeseburgers). I'm always willing to bypass certain things as long as customer service delivers BUT unfortunately they fell short. We were celebrating an engagement and so we were all very happy and in a great mood, when suddenly workers around us were cleaning up the neighboring tables, and even sweeping very close to us. We thought the place was possibly closing? (Even though it was only 2:15pm). I asked if they were closing and they said that they close the restaurant from 3-4 so their employees can go eat .... I'm not against giving them a break BUT, it really felt like they were kicking us out, we felt pressured to eat fast and wrap it up, not a good feeling, when you are in the zone of happiness. It was our first time there so, I would have appreciated if they would have informed us that the restaurant takes a little break in between and then we would have decided if we wanted to stay or go elsewhere. They did bring a little dessert and 2 mocktails for the newly engaged which was nice, I'll give them that. Overall, I don't think the food and experience was worth me coming back or recommending this place, I'm sure there's other much better places.
