My burnt spicy chicken sandwich

My spicy chicken sandwich was burnt. For $13 dlls I could've gone to Popeyes. Wont be coming back

Jumbo Fried Chicken Tenders (3 pcs)

Got the spicy bird sandwich and it was a good size piece of chicken. I felt like it could have had more flavor and maybe next time probably add the cheese.

A delectable and dainty mouthwatering delicacy. The Bird sauce was savory and gave my gums a tantalizing tingle! Ordered on Chownow, and the food was hot and tasty when I picked it up and brought it home. I will definitely order again.

This is the second eatery I ordered from the Barrio Food Hub. I placed my order for pick up and the transaction was seamless. My order was ready when I arrived and everything was neatly packaged. I brought my food to work and couldn't wait to dig in. I ordered 2 spicy fried chicken sandwiches, 2 waffle fries, and the spicy jumbo fried chicken tenders. The sandwich had a huge piece of chicken that was both white and dark meat! It was the best of both worlds- the chicken was tender and very flavorful. I wish it was more spicy though! The fries were nice as well and I was too full to eat the tenders, so I had it for dinner instead. The tenders were a little bit spicier and so huge! If you're looking for a premium chicken chicken sandwich spot, check out bird-n-bun!

Deluxe Fried Chicken Sandwich

This is new fried chicken sandwich eatery in town. There sure seems to be a lot of these popping up in town these days, not that there's anything wrong with that, because I do plan to try them all. Anyways, Bird-N-Bun is located at Barrio Logan Food Hub. You need to order online for pick up or for deliver via varies delivery companies. I ordered mine for pick up and ate it right outside were they offer some shaded tables. I ordered the Deluxe Fried Chicken Sandwich which came with coleslaw, pickles, and their house sauce. I added Pepper Jack Cheese, but I never go it. Nevertheless, the sandwich was very tasty as it were. The chicken not only had a very crispy and tasty exterior, but the all white meat inside was tender and juicy. Well done. The pickles were just right and had a good bite, and the coleslaw was very fresh and flavorful. The bun was good too, but they served it cold, so the texture was a little of. They need toast the buns up, especially the underside to get that nice texture.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR DRIVE! The nastiest fried chicken I've ever had, the first thing my teenager said was 'FLAVORLESS' and the first thing I taste was dirty oil, no flavor in the breading or chicken, nothing, not even salt. The pickles were good, the bun was great but save yourself the couple of $$ && the stomach ache && go to Popeyes at least they are decent. The fries tasted && smelt just like jack in the box so if u like that then u will love them. Me or my kids couldn't finish any of the food because it was that gross. Also FYI!!!!!!! U can ONLY order online, there's no ordering inside, it's not that kind of place, it's a warehouse with no names of the restaurants that r inside, it's a horrible setup in my opinion. No number to call, no one to talk to if u have a problem with ur order, nothing. UPDATE: This is for my overall experience, I have added 2 stars strictly because of the nice owner Jeff && how he responded very fast and fixed the issues at hand, as it doesn't help with the taste of the food, it has helped me feel less disappointed for spending 30$ on it. I believe great ownership && taking responsibility will go far for any business. Thank you Jeff, you alone are 5 stars.

So, I almost passed the place up because it looks like part of an office cafeteria or something. This one building serves a number of restaurants from the same counter, so JUST GO IN THERE. If you placed your order online, you use the tablet to check in and VOILA- there's your food! So, I snagged some fries on the drive back and I Damn near finished the WHOLE thing (no sauce needed). They were BOMB- while it lasted. By the time I got back, they were cold and..... not so good anymore. Just like In-N-Out fries- EAT 'EM FORST!! The burger with the slaw was good, too! It's not too spicy, so go for it! If the white in me can handle it, so can you! There's just enough "spicy" to give it some flavor- but if you want actual HOT- make sure you tell 'em. The spicy sauce (again, flavor) not actual hot. Get the biscuit. It's literally made of butter! This place hit the spot for a pregnant lady and it will for you, too! Enjoy!

Honestly, y'all tripping if you think this place is better than Chick-Fil-A or Popeyes. I mean, it's okay, but not stepping anywhere close to the aforementioned restaurants. The sandwich itself has a peculiar flavor. Almost sweet. We ordered the regular & spicy sandwiches, tenders, fries, and sweet potato fries. The spicy sandwich is really just the regular sprinkled with spicy seasoning. I personally thing this is the laziest way to make a spicy version of a dish. The spices should be in the breading & part of the marinade. The sauce on the regular sandwich wasn't anything to get excited over. Truly mediocre in my opinion. The tenders were okay as well. I just can't figure out the distinct flavor of their meat. The tenders were huge however. Fries & sweet potato fries were good. I highly recommend ordering online & scheduling pick up. If not, you'll wait a good minute. There was also a delay when I ordered online where the system didn't receive my order for about 10 minutes. So again, nothing to see here, order online & pick up. Parking is pretty good. Free street parking available. The inside/pick up area is also very small. There were not enforcing any sort of maximum capacity and it was pretty crowded inside. The business owner should really enforce safety measurements (social distancing, posting capacity, etc). The menu is just you scanning a QR code. Perhaps instead of having all the paper menus you can post a large menu outside with the QR codes so that 1. your inside isn't so crowded & 2. there aren't so many hands touching the menus. (I also don't recall hand sanitizer being available.) Was it to die for? nah. Would I go back? nah. Should you at least give it a try? why not.

What are people smoking or drinking that they think this place is better than chick fil a and raving about this place being the best chicken in San Diego. What!!!!! Please give me some and share so I can go to chick fil a and have an orgasmic food experience. This place is ok, not bad, not great, nothing to rave about. A bit of disappointment actually. This is my 2nd time coming to bird and bun due to an advertisement on social media for $5. I saw the bait and then found out they have a veggie option and thought, winner! To be fair I bought a regular and a veggie one to compare them and to compare to the greats like chick fil a, Popeyes is ok also. First disappointment is with the term spicy. All these spicy items and no spice. who finds this stuff spicy? Is there actually any peppers or hot sauce? Buffalo wings from a wing place has more spice than these so called spicy chicken sandwiches. The 2nd is in the pickles, come on, really? What is that giving me the butt of a pickle, not even a real slice. I tried it as is, both and I wasn't haven't it. Too bland as some have reported in their reviews. Added my own pickles as you can see that's a real pickle and not whatever they put on it. Real spice with Thai chili pepper and the Avocado. So good! Yum! As for what they serve I will say the veggie one isn't bad. I've had worse and better but would say this is a good alternative if you're trying to avoid meat. The regular chicken :, the chicken was juicy, breading crispy, just lacking flavor overall and better quality ingredients. If you're not a fan of chick fil a or don't support them because of their views don't worry my friends there is other chicken places that are actually better. Now if you're having late night cravings or want to avoid traditional fast food chains this place isn't that bad but don't expect anything extraordinary. Anyone who finds this place amazing please let me know. Buy me one, save me a piece. I need to try this legendary sandwich everyone is raving about.

Came to Barrio Hub to grab food from another location and there were a group of people sitting outside eating Bird N Bun. Just looking at their food, I knew I wanted to try them. I checked out their site and they offer 20%off on your first order. Tried their chicken tenders snd classic bird sandwich. Side of French fries and waffle fries. Chicken tenders are huge. Order comes with 3 which is a good amount. Sandwich is served on a brioche bun with a pickle. Chicken was crispy and moist inside. I got plain this time but would definitely try the spicy one next time. This is their second location, original in Long Beach, and new one opening in Anaheim soon.

This place caught my attention on Yelp after seeing the news on the Barrio Food Hub. Upon trying their chicken sandwich (the regular one) I can say it was pretty good. I'd still give the edge to Chikfila though IMO (seasoning is just too good at Chikfila). The portion size and crunch of the chicken sandwich here stood out. It's very comparable to Popeyes chicken sandwich. They have a bird sauce as a side for about .50 cents and it had a good zesty flavor to dip my fries in. Overall it's worth a try.

TL,DR: Outstanding food, priced right, great service and great atmosphere…read more I had driven past this place a few times and the name always cracks me up, reminds me of Jim Carrey from Dumb and Dumber. My wife tricked me into going with her to Walmart to pick up some shit, so I got to pick the spot for lunch and this is what I picked. Got there about 2 PM on Good Friday and there were a few people there but nothing crazy. Got seated right away and ordered drinks, a Pacifico for me, Sprite for the wifey - got them right away. For food, I got a BBQ bacon cheeseburger with tots, wifey got a regular bacon cheeseburger with everything plus fries, and I was curious so I also got the $10 chocolate (fudge) shake. Shake was delivered first. Expectations were high, and I was not disappointed. The shake was served in the metal tin, made with loads of real ice cream, whipped cream, fudge, drizzle of chocolate syrup, and chocolate sprinkles. Honestly not sure what I was thinking when mixing beer with shake, in hindsight I wouldn't do that again... but it was one of the best shakes I've had in a long while. Burgers came out shortly afterwards. Wifey's was cooked perfectly medium, which is an unusual thing for most burger places these days; most of the time when I order a burger medium, it comes out medium well or well done. These were both perfectly medium. Both burgers came out with a generous amount of potato products, more than either of us could hope to stuff down our gullets in one sitting. The food was outstanding. The service was great. The music was too loud for the wife but it was the kind of music that is supposed to be played loud so no points off for that from me. A nice vibe overall. I'll definitely be back.

The chicken fingers were hot, juicy, and perfectly crispy, with that familiar seasoning that never misses. Simple menu, but they execute it well. The Texas toast was buttery and golden, the crinkle-cut fries were solid, and Cane's Sauce did most of the heavy lifting as usual. Everything tasted fresh and came out fast, even late at night. The dining area was clean and well-lit, and the staff were friendly and accommodating despite the hour, which always matters. Before Mother's Day, our visit to Jollibee today was absolutely crazy. The drive-through line and…read moreinside line were both super long, but honestly, still worth the wait. We decided to dine inside, and the space felt very tight and packed. The line alone took a solid 7 minutes and 30 seconds. The older Filipina lady at the register definitely was not feeling very "jolly," probably because she was trying to take her break, but I didn't let that deter my opinion of this particular location. The tables both inside and outside were not very clean and definitely needed more attention, but it was also a very busy Saturday afternoon so it was somewhat understandable. One thing that got a little annoying was the napkin situation. One of the meal workers was super stingy handing them out. I had a family of three including myself, and I had to get up at least three separate times asking for napkins, only to get two each time. Luckily, another more experienced cashier eventually gave us the right amount. Still, not enough to make me lower my rating. The final kicker, and usually the thing that makes me drop stars, is the cost. A 12-piece bucket with five sides and pies is definitely expensive and not much to be "jolly" over. But honestly, most competitor fried chicken franchises are charging about the same nowadays. Overall, since my last visit, nothing has changed about how much my family enjoys dining in and ordering from this Jollibee location. My kids still absolutely love it, and that alone keeps us coming back.
