Completed a full session with them through Saddleback District. Just an updated review, my son finished 8 classes with them with Mr.Joshua. He was fantastic. The focus was on forensic science. My kid was always excited to head over there afterschool. The class was always held in the science lab and there are times the class will go outside to examine plants or whatever is related for the topic of the day. The teacher kept in touch with the parents by emailing the topics that would be covered. It is very hands on and they also have worksheets that is easy for them to follow because of the graphic organizers given to them. One of the most interesting one was looking at DNA and using fresh strawberries and alcohol. So keep in mind to disclose any allergies to the teacher because they get hands on with a variety of ingredients such as cornstarch, flour, sugar, and salt. I did bring up some certain special needs that my kid had and the owner of BioNerd made an effort to really make sure my kid was safe. The teacher also provided photo certificates for the kids on the last day of class. It was very nice! We look forward to more classes in the future. It looks like each 8 week course focuses on different topics. The only cons that I have is the cost of the class. It comes out to about $22 bucks each class. However, it is engaging for the kids. I wish the district can help supplement some of the the cost especially to low income parents or provide some type of scholarship. Other than that, its great! My son loved it!

My five-year-old attended a one week camp in RSM this summer and loved it!! They did biology experiments and learned about things like how to make yogurt, the five senses, and worms and crickets and other animals. She came home excited every day and told me she wants to be a scientist when she grows up. We would definitely do this again!!

Our son had a great time in the Little Rascals program as a Kindergartener and continues to express how much he enjoys coming to the Club. He has so many opportunities to engage in different activities, learn new skills and sports, and play with friends. Although some of the program rooms are smaller, there seems to be an adequate variety of options the kids have to chose from to participate in. Our son always comes home telling us about new things he's had the opportunity to do. I will be honest that I had concerns at first regarding my child's safety, as it is not considered a child care center, but rather, an after-school enrichment program (so there are not strict sign-in/ sign-out policies). However, since enrolling, we have had no concerns with safety. The staffing is pretty consistent and therefore becomes very familiar with each child and their needs. We also have continuing conversations with our son regarding safety. Overall, we have been very satisfied with our experience at the Boys and Girls Club Tustin. It is enjoyable for the kids and it is an affordable option for working families.

They handled things I didn't even realize I didn't have to do--like setting up the goodie bags, cutting and serving the cake, packing leftovers--which meant I actually got to relax and enjoy the party. The kids had a blast making their own pizzas and decorating cupcakes, and the fact that the place comes already decorated with birthday banners and permanent balloons made it even easier. Plus, being able to bring in our own food and drinks (including alcohol!) for the adults was a huge bonus. Everyone kept commenting on what a fun and unique party it was. If you're planning to do goodie bags, I recommend ordering aprons on Amazon instead of buying them from the venue--it's cheaper and makes for a cute party favor. Also, I suggest putting a balloon on the directional signs in the shopping center by Dunkin' Donuts so your guests don't get lost, since it's a bit tricky to get there. Highly recommend Lil Chef if you want a fun, stress-free, and memorable birthday party.

They managed a group of twenty 9-year-olds with ease, keeping them entertained, focused, and most importantly, safe while they learned to cook. As a parent, the experience was truly seamless. The instructors handled the entire cooking lesson, kept the flow moving, and then--the biggest win of all--they took care of all the messy cleanup! I was able to relax and enjoy the celebration rather than running around managing logistics. The facility is bright, clean, and perfectly equipped for young chefs. Child Creativity Lab takes donated every day items (Lego pieces, empty prescription containers, bottle caps, buttons, wine corks, new popsicle sticks as well as excess items from various companies (excess fabric, plastic bottles, paint, pins, tacks, glue, zippers, etc.) and they put them together in a package so that kids can assemble them them and create a figure like a robot or animal out of all the parts. Before COVID they used to have in house workshops, but now they take the party out to the kids in city community centers, schools, etc. My friend planned a service event here so I came over to help out for a couple of hours. All the parts for the project were laid out at various stations and we went down like an assembly line and filled bags with the items to create a project-in-a-bag for each child. If I was a kid in elementary school receiving a project bag like this to put together with other classmates, I would be totally stoked. If you are interested in donating common household items for them to use, give them a call to see what they do and don't take. You can also arrange to do a service event here with your organization, they have people come in every week to help out. We need more places like this in all communities!
