She asked if there was classes for survival. Luckily I found California Survival School. We were fortunate to have Dan as the instructor. He background is quite extensive and impressive. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Although I thought my seven year old would get bored with the lecture portion, Dan kept the group engaged throughout. The hand on activities were our favorite, like building a tend properly. Both my daughter and I enjoyed the class and learned essential skills that can be used in everyday situations. My boyfriend and I love watching survival shows, so we thought it would be a blast to actually learn how to do the stuff they teach you in the episodes. This class was extremely informative, interactive, and a total blast. Great instructor. The class wasn't too big. It was a beautiful place. We loved everything about it! There is electricity available inside and the bathrooms have 2 stalls and a shower. There is also a large cabinet to store small items. I was also concerned about the food because of prior reviews (burned hamburgers and cold cuts). It was 100% not true! Both mornings we had hot eggs and potatoes. One morning included sausage. There was a nice assortment of yogurt, fresh fruit and oatmeal with lots of extra toppings, along with nice pastries. Lunches were also quite nice and included hot entrees, salad and goodies. Dinners were hot meats, baked potatoes with lots of toppings to choose and cooked vegetables. I was more than satisfied with the amount and quality of the food. Even though our party arrived a little late on the first night, there was parking available near our cabin. Lots of varied activities were also available for all ages and abilities. Our group is looking forward to going again.

The kids were outside all day, with a packed schedule of fun activities like kayaking, canoeing, archery, laser tag, yoga, dancing, and paddleboarding to name a few, not to mention fair like games and rides during free time. It was nonstop fun, and he loved connecting with old friends and making new ones. The counselors were incredible, so patient, positive and full of energy. A huge thank you to Jim (AKA Cardinal), the coach for the Bears group this past week! He made the week unforgettable, and my son won't stop talking about how much fun he had and how awesome his coach was. You can also buy food from them (catered daily from nearby restaurants) which is a huge bonus for kids like mine who aren't into cold sandwiches. We just finished 8 weeks back to back of incredible summer camps, and this was definitely a top contender for my kid. We will be back, and I 100% recommend Camp James.

We had some time to spend in the area and I found this on Yelp. It was so much more than I…read moreexpected. From the outside there's no was to see what it is. When entering they ask you sign have one person sign and list how many people are in your party. This is so they can show the city how popular the park is for funding. The space is big with hills. There are multiple spaces with huge Legos. Each piece is as big as a large loaf of bread. There's a large fort to climb on. An outdoor ping pong table. Some very fun and surprisingly fast slides, long and short. There's an interesting sort of big table with landscaping on it. You push a button at the top and water starts to flow down through the different stream inlets. Its hard to explain. The water collects at the bottom and forms a stream. The bathrooms are very large and clean. They host birthday parties and other events. We had a blast.
