We spent a total of $45 dollars since I have one preschooler and one toddler (kids under 3 are free!). We got one tray of food to feed the animals, and my older daughter got to do a pony ride too. First we went to the guinea pig area, where you get to sit down and have the attendant place a guinea pig in a little pen on the bench with you. You can feed it and pet it, and if there's no line then you can stay as long as you like! The guinea pigs are so tame and tolerant. It was the perfect thing for my young toddler to experience, since she is the opposite of gentle (we're working on it, ha!). My preschooler loved feeding the guinea pig too. Then we saw the pigs and emu. The pigs were so cute and little! Next to their pen was the goats. The goats were HUNGRY! Even when we ran out of food they kept trying to reach for things. But they were pretty gentle too. There is plenty of space for kids to spread out and pet or feed the goats. Lastly, they have some llamas and alpacas next to the goats. They didn't seem as interested in the food but they didn't mind a few gentle pats on the head. There's lots of shade available, which was a must when you come around noon in July. The whole guinea pig area is fully covered, and about half of the remaining animal areas are in shade too, so we were warm but not overheating. The pony ride was great. Kids 3 and up are allowed to ride. The saddles are equipped with full enclosed harnesses so the littlest kids will remain securely fastened. The pony trainer leads your kid around the path, but parents have to stay back at the entrance. I wish parents could go in with the kids, especially if it's their first time and they're feeling a little nervous- so that's my only suggestion for improvement. After all the animal activities, we went to the other side where there is a playground and other activities, like a train, some diggers and panning for gold. We just played on the playground and didn't pay for any additional activities. There are some benches and picnic tables, some with shade, near the playground so it was perfect for a snack break. All in all, we spent almost 2 hours here and it was the perfect mid-morning activity for my animal-loving kids!

There were goats, an emu, and other animals to feed. There are also pony rides that cost more money. The kids enjoyed it. The staff were also really friendly. There is also an area to do some panning and sit on a digger. They charge for both of those. And the panning has different tiers if you want to splurge and get better rocks. One of the diggers was out of order, and the digger my son went on wasn't working properly. The guy at that station was on his phone the whole time and wasn't available to help, so that was a wasted run. Very much a cash grab. Honestly, the boutique shops and eateries around the ranch and the small park were more worth it.

We enjoyed the scenic 15 min ride on the train around the park. Please note this is on every third weekend of the month. Rides are free but donations are gladly accepted. Plenty of parking. If you don't want to wait long or want to avoid the heat I would suggest going early. Also be sure to check their website or social media account before going to make sure they are open :)

We visited Kid Can Do expecting a fun, engaging indoor play space for young children, but it felt more like a restrictive, adult-supervised activity zone than a true play area. The biggest issue was the inconsistency and lack of freedom for the kids. Plenty of cupboards, covers, and storage areas were unlocked and easily accessible, so naturally the children explored them. As soon as they pulled out toys or art supplies, staff quickly took them away because they "weren't part of this week's theme." If you're going to leave things unlocked and within reach, kids are going to play with them, that's completely normal and developmentally appropriate. Instead, we spent most of our time picking up after our child and saying "no" or redirecting them. If that's the kind of experience you're looking for, this is the spot for you. If you want a place where children can actually play freely without constant intervention, look elsewhere. It also didn't feel developmentally suitable for the younger ages they advertise for. The setup created more frustration than fun, with limited open-ended play opportunities. On top of that, the cost felt excessive for what's offered. For the price, I expected more space, better variety, and far less policing of normal kid behavior. You could re-create what they offer for a fraction of what you are paying to go here for 90 minutes and have better peace of mind doing it in your own home. Save your time and money. Head to Play Pie or the New Children's Museum down in San Diego instead--both are much better options for actual play and exploration. Nolan - the Captain of this aquarium supplies ship - answered every one of My questions with patience & grace, did not talk down to Me or make Me feel stupid, and I left feeling happily hopeful that I might actually be successful in creating a fish-friendly safe & healthy environment. I came again today and brought a friend and she was also so happy we stayed there for like an hour just looking at everything. They have multiple rooms and a lot of tanks. The store seems small but it's not ; there's a lot of variety of fish, plants, and shrimp. Today there were red root floaters, one of the employees actually grew them - they were so healthy and super red I had to buy 3 cups !! I got more dwarf water lettuce bc my axolotl loved hanging in the roots. Staff today was super nice and helpful. There were 2 guys. It was extremely busy when I came like 10 people and they were helping everyone collaboratively. I hate when an employee only focuses on 1 customer who takes forever thinking and observing and there's a ton of ppl waiting. It wasn't like that here, the guy would answer a question and move on to another client. Also when the guy was fishing out some shrimp he was still talking to other customers and answering questions. I loved the vibe here. I will def be returning!!!!!

A huge shoutout to Deon, who provided the best customer service we've experienced anywhere in a long time. Our kids had an absolute blast, and Deon was fantastic with them. He was super helpful, patient, and attentive while getting them set up and safely having fun on the go-karts and bumper boats. Stepping back onto the track brought back so many cherished childhood memories of my dad, and Deon helped ensure my kids walked away with those exact same happy memories today. We honestly considered turning around and asking for a refund, but our kids were so excited to play that we stuck it out rather than crush their little mini-golf dreams. The staff was genuinely friendly, so no complaints there--they were the best part of the experience. I can't speak for the other attractions, but if you're coming for mini golf, I'd recommend spending the extra few bucks and heading to Holy Moly at the Spectrum instead. At least there, the biggest obstacle is the course--not whether the carpet will survive another round.
