The two…read morechefs running the party were awesome--funny, super interactive with the kids, and on top of every detail. They handled things I didn't even realize I didn't have to do--like setting up the goodie bags, cutting and serving the cake, packing leftovers--which meant I actually got to relax and enjoy the party. The kids had a blast making their own pizzas and decorating cupcakes, and the fact that the place comes already decorated with birthday banners and permanent balloons made it even easier. Plus, being able to bring in our own food and drinks (including alcohol!) for the adults was a huge bonus. Everyone kept commenting on what a fun and unique party it was. If you're planning to do goodie bags, I recommend ordering aprons on Amazon instead of buying them from the venue--it's cheaper and makes for a cute party favor. Also, I suggest putting a balloon on the directional signs in the shopping center by Dunkin' Donuts so your guests don't get lost, since it's a bit tricky to get there. Highly recommend Lil Chef if you want a fun, stress-free, and memorable birthday party.

If you're looking for a unique, engaging, and (most importantly) stress-free party venue, look no further! The moment we arrived, the staff was fantastic. They were incredibly friendly, professional, and had everything set up perfectly. They managed a group of twenty 9-year-olds with ease, keeping them entertained, focused, and most importantly, safe while they learned to cook. As a parent, the experience was truly seamless. The instructors handled the entire cooking lesson, kept the flow moving, and then--the biggest win of all--they took care of all the messy cleanup! I was able to relax and enjoy the celebration rather than running around managing logistics. The facility is bright, clean, and perfectly equipped for young chefs. This wasn't just a party; it was a fun, hands-on memory the kids won't stop talking about. Lil' Chef School is an absolute gem, and I highly recommend them for any birthday celebration!

Review for Culinary Kids Valentine's Day event at Whole Foods in Tustin only…read more.. (http://www.culinarykids.biz/whole-foods.html) My daughter wanted to take this class, because it sounded like a fun way to kill a couple of hours. Booking was easy through Eventbrite online. On the menu for the class was tomato soup, hummus, and trifle for dessert. It was a drop-off event, so I checked her in (which was a little slow, because everyone had to sign a waiver, yet they only had one pen for everyone to share), and off I went. I picked her up a couple hours later, and asked her how it went. She basically shrugged her shoulders and said it was "fine." I asked her how the food was, and I got another short answer, "okay." But then... she got all riled up when she said she didn't get to eat her own food. She said everyone made their dishes, and then when they got divvied up, the instructors gave every kid a random one, not their own. My daughter was super annoyed that she had worked so hard to make her trifle look pretty, and she didn't even get to enjoy it. Now, having watched my kids take many cooking classes through the city rec program and private cooking schools, plus birthday parties, I know that typically they label everyone's food so they get their own back! Kids love to take pride in their own creations! I thought that was very strange. Perhaps they were unprepared for this event in the seating area of a supermarket, but I definitely won't be signing up for one of these again.

My 5 year old enjoyed making the food, did not eat any :-)…read more I got to try them and they were very good.

This is the first time they've had a child with type one diabetes because there is no nurse on staff. I am a pediatrician and worked with Hillary who is wonderful. Unfortunately, there's a woman who is an assistant director named Marianne. She has been rude and very difficult in limiting our access to our son. They actually denied us a program after they had said we could do it because they didn't feel their staff was prepared. Our son who is 9 was told this just as the program was starting. This was unnecessary because we were present and they knew we were available to watch his blood sugar, but Marianne seems to want us not to be close to him for what would appear like preferential treatment, They also told us they are concerned that his phone had lost Battery power which is something we can fix in 5 to 10 minutes. His phone reads his blood sugars and transmits them to us. The counselor seem to be great and accommodating, but this administrator interrupted me and said she wasn't done talking and talked over me and said I wasn't fit to be around kids when she did not know I was a pediatrician. She does not want me near my son because it looks bad to other parents who want to be near their kids. Beyond my feeling that they're in direct violation of ADA I am letting my son continue here because he loves the program. We are only on day three and I hope Marianne has a change of heart for how she addresses other parents of children with special needs. She comes off very condescending and pushy. For the Friday swimming program, she doesn't want me to have access to the pool because it looks bad to other parents. She prefers to come out of the swimming area to me outside of the pool so that I can check his blood sugars and give him insulin. If only she could walk a day in his shoes. She says that she works with children with special needs and of course let a child with a wheelchair participate, but I don't believe it by her behavior with me and my husband. Perhaps she just doesn't know what it's like to be a parent of a child with special needs. My son was in tears when we told him he couldn't participate in that after camp program. They had previously said yes. A child should never be excluded for a medical condition after it was approved and especially not to their face without a kind apology. He was told it was for his safety that he could not participate. This was one of the worst things that I wanted to hear. We are constantly trying to prove to him that he can do anything in spite of having type 1 diabetes. My hope is that this gets back to Marianne so that she can consider how she spoke to me this morning. There was never an apology on her end. Additionally, one of my patients told me that her friends child gained 9 pounds over one camp session. The food is disgusting and they offer Oreo cookies in the morning and every meal that you can order here comes with donuts or a cupcake. They give otterpops and sugar nonstop.

Amazing and attentive staff. Felt very good having this be the first camp my child has attended…read more She looks forward to it every day. Fun, engaging activities and field trips! Shout out to Hilary, Carly, Marianne and Audra who do a fantastic job.
