Btree Code Academy is a great place to learn coding. The curriculum focuses on solving problems rather than just lecturing, and is well designed to adapt to individual student's pace and levels. We were able to customize our learning topics based on our interest and progress. Combined with a small class setting, it feels like having private coding instructions. Our instructor Matthew is very knowledgeable and patient with our young learner. I appreciate the weekly reports about the progress and challenges our student made during each class. Through Matthew, our kiddo learned not just coding, but math concepts and advanced logic. His teaching focuses on exchanging thoughts and ideas with students instead of one-way lecturing. He is transparent, pragmatic, and well-versed in all the coding languages and the programing community that we feel comfortable seeking and relying on his advice regarding areas of opportunity, trending topics, certifications, competitions, or summer camps. The email communication with the school and the owner Daniel is always timely and effective. It's a small and friendly community with like-minded people. Price is reasonable. We've had a fantastic experience at BTree so far. My son completed their Algorithms program and is now working through USACO-level problems, and the growth we've seen so much growth in the past year. We were able to signed up for the summer camp for my 11 year old son this year. He had a blast and looked forward to classes every day. My 14-year-old son really enjoys this coding academy, where he is currently learning Python. Director (Won Jang Nim) is very dedicated and sincere, and clearly explained the program and philosophy during the trial class. The classes are small, and the Python curriculum is well structured, progressing step by step with regular checks to ensure students truly understand the material. My son has just completed their AI and Machine Learning summer camp, and he absolutely loved it! Same as always, I received the report soon after each class briefing me the activities for the day and how he did. They taught him how to use AI appropriately. He created an AI chatbot, a calculator and was able to train AI to play the 21 game with him perfectly by the end of camp! He was also introduced to machine learning concepts and how they affect AI. My son also excitedly told me his version of class report after each class on the way home without me asking which showed that he enjoyed the class tremendously. After almost two years in which he has completed the Python course and now moving on half way through Algorithms, Btree still manages to keep my son engaged and excited about coding. Truly great place to send your kids to learn coding classes such as Java, Python programming . Teachers are very prompt and email parents the students progress report right after class. My son started with basic Python, has mastered Java, and reached the professional level in less than two years. He is very confident with coding now and competitions. He wants to learn more languages to pass a more advanced level of USACO and develop apps as well. My 10 years old boy has been attending Btree Code Academy since June 2023, and he absolutely loves going there.
