Unfortunately, when he switched to a school without a debate program, he no longer had access to it. New England Academy came to the rescue. My son found it incredibly instructional and supportive. Not only did he improve his speech and debate skills, but he was able to take on leadership opportunities. His critical thinking skills have also improved and have been inherently applied to his school work. Mr. Hughes and Mr. Hobbs are more than teachers. Their individualized instruction and ability to connect with children makes the program resemble a family activity rather than simply an academic program. They have created a safe environment where making mistakes is constructive and team work is emphasized. My high school son is now an OCDL middle school assistant coach, judge, trusted mentor and friend - which are additional life skills he picked up from Mr. Hughes and Mr. Hobbs.

So, come to education which is top priority to our family, we are looking for a place is not just grades driven but put kids interests first and working with their abilities. ILearn Education is definitely the right choice for our family. While only my 7 years old son goes to iLearn education, he has not only became the top student in his class, but he also learned how to be a independent student with minimum supervision. And again, he is only 2nd grade. ILearn offers a wide range classes from academic courses such as reading, writing, and math classes at different levels, but also interests/skill courses such as fashion design, cartoon design, public speaking/ debating and robotic courses. My boy started with couple robotic and science classes, and now enrolled into 5 different classes. All the teachers are all amazing! The organization share all the teachers' backgrounds, degrees and working experiences with the parents. All the classes are very creative and carefully designed by individual teachers themselves. I think the owners also have school age kids that all go there, and I believe one of the owner is extremely careful come to hiring teachers because she comes from very high education background herself. With the pandemic, the school only offers online classes for now. I don't know how those teachers keep the kids so engaged during the classes (1.5 hours each), but I definitely see outstanding results. Now, even with his regular elementary classes, he doesn't need any supervision to attend, participate and complete his independent works for distance learning modules. He also scored top 1% in one of the California Math standard test, and reading in 5th grade level. Public speaking is one of his favorite class. I sometimes overhear what they talk about in the class and thinking- wow, those kids are way smarter than me even as a second grader! We'll definitely keep attending iLearn Education. Hands down the best choice from my experience-worth very penny!

She understands how to challenge our daughter without overwhelming her, which is such an important skill when working with toddlers. We've been incredibly happy with the progress we've seen and feel very fortunate to have Emily as part of our daughter's early learning experience. We highly recommend her!

We saw noticeable growth not only in her understanding of the material, but also in her confidence. I would highly recommend Tutor Nerds to other parents looking to provide their students with additional academic support at a reasonable cost. It was a very positive experience for our family.

In…read moremy initial ACT diagnostic test, I received a 23 composite, nothing unusual from my previous preACT and PSAT scores in school. At the beginning, I lacked confidence, but I was open to improvement. Young's ACT classes were well-paced, making it easy to manage with my busy soccer schedule and 5 AP classes during junior year. They were also surprisingly enjoyable, and I looked forward to classes in the positive, motivating environment. Young is such a genuine and caring person, acting as a continuous cheerleader, even when progress seems to plateau. We focused on each section individually, gaining exposure and explanations to all possible question types based on past ACTs that Young reviewed. Each section came with a summarized packet of question types, rules, formulas, and approach methods, which I found extremely useful when reviewing for my test.  Before starting classes, I filled out the information sheet and wrote a score of 32 for my realistic ACT goal. In the end, I surpassed my goal with a 34, my most significant improvement being in the English section from a 21 to 35! I highly recommend Young's classes for comprehensive preparation, frequent practice tests, and an encouraging environment.

This fall, my son Peter, who is a Sophomore, took a practice ACT and scored well, but not up to his Ivy League ambitions. We thought we would have to go and sacrifice his entire summer at a place like Elite to get the scores up, but then we heard of this company. We called them in late February, and they claimed that with once a week sessions, they could get Peter ready by June, which astonished us. The service was absolutely excellent, our tutor, Mary, was incredibly skilled and professional, and they even provided all the necessary instructional materials. In the end, Matt's service surpassed our dreams. In April, after just five sessions, Mary gave Peter the go-ahead to take the ACT. He took the shot, and we were overjoyed when the scores came back. He had gotten a 35 on the ACT, a 3 point improvement on just over a month ago. He is now able to have a chance at any college whatsoever in just the tenth grade! I would eagerly recommend this service, and Mary in particular, to the family of any student who has to deal with these things.

In high school, she additionally got tutoring for Physics and similarly began to excel at both school work and her understanding of the material.
