Don't keep reading about other schools! This is the school YOU NEED!!! I worked with Soledad Lam and let me tell you that was my best move! She was amazing to work with and helped me out tremendously every step of the way. I had no idea how to proceed and she guided me BEFORE and AFTER my purchase of the real estate course. She saved me a ton of time and prevented me from doing things the wrong way. You should call her @ 949-600-5041 and allow her to direct you in a professional manner. You won't regret it. read more

Over the years i tried ADHI and Realestate Trainer and never felt strong enough to take the test. A friend of my suggested Allied, I can tell you hands down Allied School is the best training course. Not only the staff is caring and they go overboard to help you, the structure of the courses only sets you for success. Gary their online live supplemental prep courses teacher is stellar to say the least. He is on point and everything he tells you as it is 100% useful for passing your test. I took his online prep courses for one month only and stiudied all he said point by point and I passed my test on the first try. He is the golden ticket Allied school in my opinion. Thank you Allied and specially thank you Gary for teaching with such passion, love and dedication. read more

Your customer service is ridiculous. Perhaps you shouldn't offshore this to people that have zero knowledge and follow up that's nonexistent... I will never use your course again. read more

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE: Do not take your online real estate education courses from this company. It is a scam. They charge you $67 for all the classes but if you fail one of the tests twice, they charge you $50 to reactivate your studies per exam failed. I was taking my test and had an inspector from the city arrive and had to walk away and failed. I called and no one answered. I am now live chatting with the agent. Here is the message I received: "You have reached the maximum number of exam attempts allowed for this course. This course has been marked as failed. In order to receive credit, you will need to re-enroll and take the education over from the beginning including passing the course final exam (fees apply)." Here is their response when I live chatted because no one answered the phone: "Unfortunately, we are not able to apply an exam reset per the state's requirement. We do have a one-time discount available for re-registrations. If you would like to take the course again to complete your Real Estate Pre-Licensing Education, we can assist you with getting re-enrolled for a discounted price of $50.00 for each course. Please contact us at 866-256-2930 between Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm PST to process your re-enrollment. For your protection, we do not process transactions over email or chat. If you have any other questions, please let me know and I will be happy to help" When I inquired where they notified me of this policy prior to enrolling in the class the live agent discontinued the conversation and left. IF YOU'RE NEW TO THE INDUSTRY BEWARE This review is for the online MLO pre-licensing course. I wish I did an in person class instead because I failed my NMLS twice already, 1st time was 68 and the second time was a 74. The material is very boring. No video lectures. It was just read and take a test at the end of each section. Lots of reading. I also didn't receive any books. A paper textbook would have been very handy. I come from a nursing background, I had no trouble passing the NCLEX the first time! I think that since I come from that background, the new material is just so foreign to me and is going to take longer than 20hrs/14days to comprehend. I purchased an exam prep course from affinity real estate and that is an amazing class so far. Lots of info popping up that wasn't in allied's class There are videos, lectures, quizzes, etc. I WILL ONLY PURCHASE FROM Affinity FROM NOW ON. read more

Horrible customer service. I attended Allied Business Schools back in 2011 I tried to call and get my official transcript come to find out the school was bought out and im now being told they dont know how to get my my transcript. So I payed you guys a bunch of money and now cant even get my offical document? Look elsewhere do not I repeat do not give these guys your money. Not only can I not get my transcript but they offered zero help throughtout the course and was having difficulty navigating and was left to figure it out on my own. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Soledad Lam to get the materials for Real Estate for my daughter, #3 so far. I had used Allied for myself and two of my other kids who successfully became Licensed Realtors in California. Now working on my third recruit. Needless to say, I am one proud dad. Soledad was very patient, understanding and ready to answer all of my questions. We missed each other's calls but she never gave up and we finally connected. The materials are on the way and I am positive I will be sending a few more potential Realtors her way because I am aways approached by interested parties. Good job Soledad and thank you. read more

if only could give minus 5 stars! ABSOLUTELY the worst, almost impossible to navigate. Once you take a quiz, takes like 50 steps if can figure it out to get back to the course. Nothing makes sense. Miss Soledad Lam (949.600.5041) was an amazing help to helping me navigate my inquiry in pursuing my CA Broker's license. I had entered my request late the previous day and followed up the following morning with enthusiasm and support. She explained to me the benefits of Allied versus other shops that would get one educated on industry licensing as well as provided a creative solution in terms of how I can go about expediting my process via an aggregation of my current professional certifications and licenses. She was a great help and though I had to cut our initial conversation short due to a time sensitive project, she was able to take my call later that same day and picked up near instantly. 5-Stars for customer service and 5-stars for her being well networked (knew a ton of the industry professionals up and down the state). UPDATE: received a call from educational support who walked me through everything. The call was friendly and warm, and they helped me in resolving all my questions and concerns. I still however think the workbook and video lecture should correlate more efficiently. Small overlooked details may cause someone to fail. If we're talking state specific vs national, this should be mentioned in the state specific portion. I did fail the first time, which is why I left the original review. After I received a call from Allied and she kept me on the line until I fully understood the material, I felt more content in passing the second time around, in which case, I did. Tips for future test takers: The best thing that worked for me was creating my own 150 question online practice exams and the flash cards! Seriously, get flash cards. If you understand the terminology in the question, you'll easily get the answers correct. Don't be too concerned with the math portion, or rather, don't let it scare you. Both times I sat for the state exam, not one question involved any sort of calculation. Still study it though, you'll need to know the concepts in the field! Lastly, as for the lecture and workbook having flaws, I'm most certain they will be soon corrected if they haven't been already. Allied takes pride in everything they do at the school, they are the Harvard of online real estate schools and I'm sure after my last post, printing was halted and thus, corrected. If you're investing in your career and just getting started as a salesperson, or if you're a veteran in the business and going towards your broker license, don't sell yourself short - purchase the full multimedia package and definitely make sure you get flash cards! The post has been updated to 5 stars not because I passed my exam, but because they read my review, reached out to me, confirmed the flaws and made awareness to correct them for future students, and helped me understand all the questions and concerns I had. read more

WORST online real estate course. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Terrible customer service. Unprofessional. Did not receive direct answers when needed. Not helpful at all. I would recommend using another online course such as Kaplan, Real Estate Express, etc. My friends have used those courses and had success and said they were extremely helpful. So I had already gotten one state real estate salesperson's license through Allied and I was researching how to get licensed in another state. There is a lot of conflicting information online and I was confused as to where to start and how to complete the requirements. I called Allied's main number and was transferred to Soledad Lam. She really went above and beyond to help me sort out what my best options were and how to go about an otherwise confusing process. Soledad pointed me in the direction of some resources that would make things a whole lot easier for me and save me countless hours! I already loved Allied and have gone to them both for initial licensing AND continuing education but this latest experience just solidified my high opinion of them even more. read more

Referred by a friend who used this to get her broker license! I must say most reviews in here I would only agree with them on the website. It is too confusing and does not provide clear directions on the courses you need and so forth. So I ended up calling them and talk to Soledad Lam. She was wonderful and sweet! She answered all my questions and directed me to get started with the broker courses. I would definitely refer her to anyone who is interested in obtaining their license and looking for an online course resource. I signed up for the California Mortgage package which is a dual program for real estate and MLO. I'll get the negatives out first Negatives: I didn't like the format. I think for someone who is new to the industry or not used to an outline format such as this (You're basically reading powerpoint slides) might be overwhelming especially if you are in mixed company (current realtors, former LOs etc.) You are trying to retain alot of information re: laws, regulations ,etc every two days before the next section begins. If you went to college and used to cramming, this is basically what it's like. A test is given at the end of a very long section plus an assignment. I think a quiz should be given after each short module and then the larger test, then of course the final at the end. Positives: I took the MLO portion first which is an instructor-led course. The material is pretty detailed, they give you alot of materials. The setup is similar to a blackboard (at college): PDFs ,flash cards, etc, discussion board. Professor was engaged at all times. Because I didn't like the format, I asked for a refund for my real estate portion. They gave it to me minus registration, pro-rated, no questions asked. The format is just not for me- it might be for people who like to study alone, I think I need to be in class. I passed the courses with an 88% overall and so now I will begin studying for my SAFE exam but will be using other resources for the exam prep. read more

I used Allied to fulfill my CA Real Estate broker continuing education requirements. The online class program has a very confusing layout/platform. The flow and organization of the class syllabus, schedule, deadlines and directions are not easily conveyed to the students. The customer service department seemed bothered with my questions and didn't seem concerned with what I had to say. I felt like I was talking to a very inexperienced work force that was just getting by. No professionalism or tack exercised by the reps at Allied. I called several times to discuss or clarify the assignment guidelines, email clarifications, teacher explanations and the confusing layout and all times it ended in an argument. Most of the time the customer service people talked over me and displayed a highly cocky attitude. No more Allied for me in the future. read more

I've been interested in Real Estate for quite some time now. I have been doing my fair share of research for weeks now and looked up different schools to see what works best for me. When I got referred to SOLEDAD Lam at Allied School it made my search so much easier! She walked me through the entire process of registering for my Real Estate courses and provided me with the best course plan possible. I like to learn visually and although this isn't a IN PERSON school, she suggested the VIDEOS and FLASHCARDS course prep to help me with my studying!! It is half the price of most schools but from what I've read and my friends have experienced, the quality of the courses are not compromised! You learn just as much and supposedly everyone passes on the first try! You also have availability for TUTORS and guides if you get stuck! The other schools I talked to, I wouldn't be able to start until a couple weeks down the line. When I spoke with Soledad she got me started RIGHT AWAY! Seriously. I was prepared and began studying just a couple minutes after we got off the phone CALL SOLEDAD 949-600-5041 if you have been interested in REAL ESTATE, she will make it so easy and exciting for you! The online support was very weak, it was the typical buy the books buy the course and good luck, i'd have thought the person selling the product might just be a Broker his or her self and will assure you not in this case. I completed one of eight books and was frustrated due to the fact I was in fact a licensed RE Broker in 3 other states! The following month I made it a goal to complete one book per month as I also recall there was a 19 day period was required between books. For many of you new to this business the 'normal' state has reciprocity where as all of us know our trade but not the local laws so we take a 100 question law test which took 2.5 hours. Note all states use the National Association of Realtors Contracts with a couple additions to it which fit the territory your selling in. These course books where more about the; NAR, CA and the RE Commission paying the authors to include nonsense so as to help in eliminating/reducing competition to the BIG 5 Real Estate Companies. These authors purposed 1 word in 50 as being useful! I'd further express that these writers were in fact given guidelines as to the number of pages necessary to qualify this as a course, I spoke to one of the course book representatives, so in fact the authors where literally paid by the word. Normal broker book was 800 pages with about 27 chapters of useful information. These books had 25 chapters 24 of which could have been eliminated! PS: if you bypass the propaganda good luck in passing the course! Now get ready to also pay for the crash course because its a must to pass this course. Keep in mind from my 12 years as a Broker experienced in HOA, Property Management, Selling, Buying, and representing numerous clients in many different types of transaction the California Brokers are the least professional and highest paid per transaction that these eyes have ever met. Try asking one if they have acquired the following ABR,SRS,SRES, GRI, Inspectors and Appraisers as well as 25 + other courses and designations. Note; this is the first step to others such as will you certify as; Graduate Realtor Institute - GRI or Certified Property Manager - CPM or General Contractor - GC/B or Buyer Rep - ABR or Sellers rep - SRS or Senior Real Estate Seller - SRES and the annual dues connected to the above. The Allied School is great! A real estate friend of mine recommended them and my experience has been wonderful. They give you access to online coursework, send you books, flashcards...everything you need to prepare for the state licensing exam! Thao Le has been so helpful along the way! Thao provided me with a wealth of useful information before I dove into coursework. She explained, in detail, what I can expect of the online courses as well as what is required in my state for licensing. Speaking with her right after I signed up helped me out a lot and answered all the questions I had. I can't emphasize enough how quick to respond she is. Just this week I recommended the course to a friend who was interested -- I emailed Thao my friend's information and she responded literally within 5 minutes. Having this kind of support and quick response for such a big career move is so comforting! Overall, I have been really happy with my experience and would definitely recommend the Allied School to friends and family. read more

I registered for the RE CE course I breezed through the first 2 courses, which covered 12 hours of the 45 hours needed. The remaining courses were ready to be opened and could have been completed the same day as well Good thing I paused and asked the online chat at Allied if it was OK if I completed all of the courses in one day. This was our conversation online: You are now chatting with an agent. Agent: My name is Sarah. How can I help you today? Hello, I just purchased the RE CE course for California I already completed 12 hours of the 45 hour course But I wasn't sure if there was a maximum hours allowed per day Agent: That is an excellent question! Let me check and make sure. Agent: There is no limit for CE courses. I'm only showing limits for pre and post license courses. So you are fine to keep working on them if you would like OK got it. But when I upload all the certificates on the DRE website, and all 45 hours of CE were completed on the same day, there won't be any issues from the DRE? Agent: No there will be no problem! OK I will resume the courses then. Thank you I still felt uneasy about being able to complete 45 hours of education in one day. So I called the Department of Real Estate to confirm, and they said that I had to wait 6 days before I can take an exam, and definitely that all 9 exams could not be completed on the same day. Thanks Allied! So I paid and passed 2 courses today, which would not have been validated by the DRE. Thanks Allied! Let's hope I get that refund they promised to process Never again Allied read more
