I took the first of a new type of class and way of painting. The studio lighting was low with candles on the stations next to our easels. The class was a contemporary painting that included new to me techniques and was inspired with a guided meditation. First we traced "Sacred Geometry" or a flower of life on the blank canvas for healing and transformation. Then a base color for grounding and next a guided meditation (my mom came through) then we to painted blind folded. It was a great experience. Timree is a genius and intentional without being stuffy or strict. I'm a long term paint club member it's great value and this class was priceless for me.

She was incredibly flexible with scheduling and working with me on the event planning. The location was easy to get to in Newport and the studio itself had the perfect amount of space for my group of 7 people. Be aware that you will have to pay for parking, but it's relatively inexpensive and done via app. During the event itself, Jeniece was patient and made jokes which we were very grateful for given that many of us hadn't painted or attempted visual art since high school. She provided the final product options and we voted on which we'd all complete. She was very attentive in the lesson -- she both demonstrated and walked around the class to see how we were progressing. She was incredibly positive with her feedback. I would recommend Jeniece and Art + Soul to anyone doing a work team event. Her flexibility and positivity were exactly what we needed!

My wife paid for a class here as a surprise for our 9th wedding anniversary. A family situation…read morecame up, so we called ahead -- we were told on the phone that they would take us as long as we got there within 10 minutes. We rushed. My wife got out of the car and was at the door inside that window. They wouldn't let her in without me, and I was still parking. I walked in 11 minutes after the start -- one minute past their cutoff. There were maybe four to six people in the room. I explained the family situation involving my son. I told them it was our anniversary. My wife was distraught, and I pleaded with them and tried to reason with them. They turned us away anyway. We weren't asking anyone to slow the class down or stay late -- we would have caught up on our own. My wife left humiliated on the day she had planned as a gift. I get it -- you have to run a business, and you have to start on time. But she was there inside the window you gave us and you wouldn't seat her. It came down to one minute and two people standing in front of you, and you chose the minute. The class started without us. So did the last impression I'll have of this place.

The interior is incredibly vibrant and colorful which makes for a very welcoming atmosphere. The instructor Elle brought great energy to the class and was very encouraging to all the attendees. The class moves steadily so you don't feel rushed, and they encourage you to work at your own pace as well as allowing you to be free to make deviations from the painting as you see fit. There's a lot of freedom in what you create which I found to add to the experience as everybody's painting is their own unique piece of art. The staff help clean everything up at the end, assist with photos, answer questions, and let you take your time as you leave in the event you need to add those finishing touches to your masterpiece. Overall, this was such an enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend you check this out; whether you're going solo, with friends, or on a cute date. Super fun time and very reasonably priced.

While at your assigned seat, you'll have all the supplies you need all ready to go! The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and I can't wait to head back for another event! I am 27 years old, I'd say the class ranges from 17-70! There is about 10-ish people in the class. Each person works on their own piece- meaning she is NOT up in the front giving instructions while everyone paints the same dang thing. This is not the type of class. The classes are intimate, and very relaxed. She has everything you need to start your first masterpiece. Really, you don't need to bring a thing! You can choose any medium in the adult class- oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, ceramics, and probably even more. It's is SUCH a great place for a beginner, because you can try all the different mediums until you find one right for you, with no investment in supplies! This is rare. Sher really is a wonderful woman. She is as hands on or hands off as you need. If you need her to sit by you and walk you through every step, she's there. If you want to do you own thing she'll stop by with once or twice with encouragement and her two cents! Most students in the adult class have been going to her for years and doing their own thing, so she's always able to give extra attention to newbies. She is very chatty, it seems like everyone in the class is old friends. She has great stories to tell. I'm a bit quieter while I'm painting, but I do not find the chatter among the class distracting at all. Even though I've painted most my life, i was a bit nervous coming into a new studio- NO NEED! This is the most relaxed, kind group of people I've found. No artsy egos, no judgment, no pressure. Lastly, her children's classes and art camps seem to be super popular. Some of the parents are now in the adult class because they were jealous of how much fun the kids were having. How cool is that!

From the moment I reached out to Jeniece to inquire about booking a party, I had a great experience. Booking was clear and easy, and Jeniece invited me to submit the art subject my daughter wanted to do for her party. The studio is absolutely adorable with a fun, artsy, clean, chic, boho-style vibe. The front of the studio has a comfortable place for guests to sit, relax and mingle, and a play space with some building toys for the kids to occupy themselves while waiting for all guests to arrive and painting to start. When we arrived 30 min early for party set-up, Jeniece was so welcoming, accommodating, helpful and friendly. Party prep was a breeze. Since the studio is already tastefully designed, all I had to do was put up a cute backdrop, set out the plates, napkins, cupcakes, pizza and waters, and BOOM! Party done for this mom (high five!!). Jeniece set up an inviting and fun art table, with perfectly curated and perfectly supplied stations for each girl. Jeniece did a fabulous job instructing the girls with step-by-step guidance in a fun, informative, helpful and orderly manner. Like clockwork, the girls had finished their paintings (I was so impressed with how she timed out the painting to have it end right at the 1.5hr mark). We served up the pizza, sang "Happy Birthday," enjoyed cupcakes, snapped some pics, and then said our "good byes" with each girl taking home their "masterpiece." Everyone had a fantastic time. At the end my granddaughter spent a lot of time made a beautiful bracelet for Xmas, asked Marlow to tie it, she said she could not do it cuz of her long nails. I tried it not knowing what to do, all the beads came off all over the floor! My granddaughter was in disbelief and tears in her eyes. I felt very bad, but it was pick up time no time for her to make another one. For the 5 year old to leave with broken heart was not nice at all. The 7 year old tied his own bracelet but it all came apart in the car. For $99 per kid I paid almost $200, definitely was not cheap. Why can the teacher help the younger ones tying the bracelets? The beautiful long nails maybe more useful as a receptionist or secretary. I was more than disappointed!
