I had David, from Bio Tech service me twice in the past, promising my payment of almost 400 dollars to treat and feed 2 medium sized weeping cherries would always remain the same, if I used his service. That was 2025. I just tried to reschedule. I tried multiple times and was given a long wait to only hear that not only have his rates gone up!!, but he is no longer servicing my area!! This took several days that I could have made other plans within the time frame, which needed immediate attention, unfortunately. Once again, I trusted a service which prove unreliable and unprofessional in the long-run. I am disappointed in him, and this company, but I wish him future help with health. read more

The service person who came to the house was nice and seemed to do a good job. The owner, while kind mannered on the phone, did not stand behind the price of service quoted on the phone. I received bills more than 5x the price quoted and 4 x the price from other companies. I could go on but it's not worth my energy. I don't recommend using this company. read more

Requested service for carpenter bees. Appreciated that I was told to call back in a few wks because it was too early to treat. However, when I did call back, I was told they were too busy. Someone came out to my house a few wks later & was great - told me to call back if the bees continued in 1-2 wks. When I did call back (because the bees lessened but continued), the person who answered the phone was extremely unprofessional and told me they were too busy to come back, despite what the exterminator had told me at my home. Something at this company seems to have changed (and not for the better). We have been customers for many years after they installed traps to prevent termites. We Called to see if they could remove a hornets nest and were informed that not only are they not servicing CT homes in our area, but they would not be coming out of the quarterly servicing (last done in March, which they inconveniently now mention when we call in June). I will not do business with a company like this.... customers beware.... ask questions before you go with this company..... read more

I was hesitant to call an exterminator. We love our wildlife. We have bird feeders and owl boxes and I was afraid of secondary poisoning. But we also had a growing mouse population in our large home. I did my research and then called Bio Tech. What a pleasure to find an environment friendly pest control company! Their service is great. I highly recommend them. read more

David rectified issue of no one having come out for 2nd treatment, after multiple calls starting within two weeks of 1st treatment for $269 carpenter bee treatment. Last year a gentleman came to our house from Insight offering to get rid of our outdoor ants in our yard. They charged $120 quarterly. Most importantly, they did not get rid of the ants! We had a year contract. Once, they left a card in the door stating they treated our yard, which was not true, because we have a dog who is on an electric fence and would never allow them in the back yard & deck area. Another time a card was left in the door stating they treated our home. We had 6 inches of snow & the ground was frozen. I'm sure the ants were frozen also! LOL Both times, I called their customer service & demanded a retreat. They agreed. So, now we are up to 6 treatments & they never, as promised got rid of our outside ants. When I called to cancel our contract, they stated they have a better option for our ants & I could get a discount! Next I called BioTech in Westerly RI. They charged a one time fee of $195. BioTech stated to call in a few weeks if the ants were not gone. The gentleman came back only once. He was very knowledgeable and after a second treatment, our ants are gone! These guys are fantastic. My wife and I relocated last year from north of Boston down here to North Stonington and hadn't considered all of the pests that may be enjoying our rural home as much as we did. We have 2 young kids (2 and 4 years old), 2 dogs and a cat, so the thought of an exterminator made us nervous; we didn't want chemicals being used alongside the areas we lived and played in. We also understand that being in a rural area, we had to consider the wildlife that was not an issue, and make sure that population would remain unharmed. After some research, we decided on Bio Tech to begin treatment for ticks in our yard. The techs and staff were so informative and helpful, that when we hit our next problem, mice, we didn't think twice about calling Bio Tech again. The use of a pest control service was entirely new to us and we now have peace of mind because of Bio Tech. We are so happy with them that we are considering having them treat a non-pest on our property that we want to thrive...our lawn.
