If you know me, even if through my reviews, you can probably tell I am not much of an outdoorsman,…read moreso Bass Pro Shops is not a norm for me...however, on occasion when I need something relative to outdoor spaces such as grills or accessories for a day on the water, Bass Pro Shops is a go to. And also bringing my nephews here when they visit is always a win, as they entertain themselves for a while with all the fascinating items and the fish tank! This BP is located in Opry Mills, so I am very selective of the times I will go here as traffic and shoppers can go from 0 to 60,000 real quick. My latest adventure here was to pick up a grill I had been eyeing on line for a few weeks. I finally decided to commit and wanted to pick up at the store after laying eyes on it. Upon arriving, I ask associate at the desk where the grills were and she led me right to them. Once I confirmed I was good and ready to make the move, she helped me purchase and set me up for pickup, which was around the side of the building. While she was super friendly and helpful, the warehouse associate was less than on both fronts. He did not speak a word to me and was fairly rough loading my grill. I brushed it off as I was excited, but it was still worth noting. The grill is a house BP brand and so far, I am absolutely loving it! It is a dual grill with half grate and half flattop, which I had been after for a long time. Cost was decent as well. Overall, Bass Pro Shops is a cool spot to wander around aimlessly in, or a useful spot to visit and get exactly what you are after. Again, while I am not an avid outdoorsman, I can enjoy a good BP visit on occasion!

On 04/24, I purchased a STEPR from Dick's online, including delivery (up to 1 flight of steps) &…read moreassembly. The first delivery attempt was on 05/15; the window was 11am to 3pm. The delivery crew arrived about 2 hrs 45 minutes past 3:00pm. While waiting, I called the delivery company to find out where they were; I was told that they couldn't look that up. The delivery crew finally called to tell me they were on their way. I told them we had to pick my niece up from the airport. We couldn't wait for delivery & assembly to be completed. The crew insisted on coming into our home to complete delivery. Their insistence was so intense that I felt uncomfortable. I finally told them to reschedule & I went inside. I requested another delivery date ASAP. I contacted Dick's about the issue but Dick's had no sense of urgency. Our delivery was rescheduled to 06/09. I received a phone call from delivery company Select Express stating delivery would be late "due to a flat tire." The window was now 4pm to 7pm. Previously, I requested a different crew but it was ignored. My husband watched from the front door as the crew struggled to move the item onto a dolly; he watched as it fell off the dolly onto our driveway. It was placed back on the dolly. We do not think it was damaged. Next, they attempted to bring the item onto our front porch to go up 3 steps. My husband met them at the door & they told him they'd need to use the dolly to take the item upstairs on the hardwood stairs in our new build home. We asked why they didn't have straps or other equipment (like other delivery companies) to prevent damage to our floors. We were told if anything was damaged we could file a claim. One of the crew said he was physically unable to carry anything because he has a bad hip and he could use the dolly if he took breaks!! The other crew member was of small stature and he acknowledged this fact when I told him that. He would've been of limited help to the man who has a bad hip. We called our neighbor to come to give his opinion & to be a witness. With no prompting from us, our neighbor independently said he would not allow anyone with a wet, dirty dolly to move the heavy item over his hardwood steps. We didn't want the hassle of very likely having to file a claim for damages. It was clear they could not properly move the item upstairs. It was too heavy for them. Period. It was pouring rain that day. The item was left on our front porch & again we requested an appropriate crew to make delivery. The smaller man said he'd file a report but could make no promises! We had to find tarp to cover the item. We contacted Dick's again. Again, Dick's said they had no control over the delivery. My husband told them that we purchased the item from Dick's so we were looking to them to make it right. We've never asked for any money back, any discount. We only want what I paid for almost 2 months ago to be safely & properly delivered. Dick's has done absolutely NOTHING to help us. The last Dick's customer service person said he was at home in Chicago & couldn't do anything about it but would email someone!! Most recently, we received a call from a female at AIT (one of the delivery companies used by Dick's). She began the conversation by saying "I understand you refused delivery." I was furious. My furious husband took over the call as I was by now in tears. AIT's representative told us this was their best crew. We told her that the item couldn't stay on our porch for 2 weeks. As the item will sit on our front porch for another 10 days. Today, I received notice that delivery could be made on 06/19 10am to 1pm. We were forced to make a concession to have the delivery completed & assembled in our garage. This is not what we wanted. However, since none of these companies (especially Dick's) cares about us as customers, we've been forced into making the change for them. I paid over $4,000 for the equipment to include delivery up 1 flight of stairs & assembly. I can tell you that it wasn't worth it. By the next offered delivery date, it will be 57 days since I made the purchase. Don't make the same mistake I made. If you choose to purchase any large ticket item (or probably even socks), please prepare yourself for massive, widespread indifference from Dick's and any vendor.

This DICK'S Sporting Goods location sits directly on Gallatin Pike in a large shopping center…read morealongside a few other major brands such as Best Buy, and for the most part is your standard DICK'S. I popped in on a Saturday afternoon to scope some new running shoes. The store was busy and well staffed, however 9/10 staff members that I encountered on the sales floor never said one thing to me, or even acknowledged me. Normally I get stellar service at DICK'S, but this location seemed a bit off brand. The store was well stocked, clean and in good condition. They definitely take care of it. I did purchase some shoes and the checkout process was pretty seamless and the cashier was friendly. Overall, odd service wise, but other than that it was your standard DICK'S experience. Happily pop back in when needed.

Scott, store manager, welcomed us in and we started down our list of things we needed. He looked at our player (12u) and talked directly to him. Asking all of the right questions to get the proper fit for each piece of equipment (while he's been playing for many years, we as his parents, still know nothing about hockey). He was on the floor testing knee pads, explaining the fit. Ran diagnoses of skates and talked through fits for the uniqueness of our players feet. It was a wonderful expletive. Very different from our local pro-shop and worth the drive. We'll be back.

Popped in on a Saturday morning after shopping online. Figured be best to look in store before purchasing. The store is large and laid out well from a section standpoint. Everything is labeled, easy to find and easy to navigate. The store has seen better days. After walking around, some sections of the store give off "closing" vibes with empty or disheveled shelves and displays, or products on display that definitely need to be replaced. To go along with that, the floors are worn and stained in multiple places, shelving units are in disrepair, ceilings are stained, and more. The store needs some TLC. While I was in store to look at very specific items, I decided to wander the aisles and look for any deals or items of interest. I walked around the store and through each section for over 15 minutes, and passed by no fewer than 12 Associates and not one time was acknowledged or spoken to. Not that I needed help, but it is wild that no one took one moment to greet a customer, not even when I was leaving the store and passed by 4 Associates huddled by the registers. Overall, the store is not a good representation of Academy, or at least the Academy Sports I remember visiting. From condition of the store to service, or lack thereof, this location did not show well. Selection if solid and prices are not the worst, but without that, this would have certainly been a one star review.

The Gun Crew took a rifle in on consignment and posted it on an auction site with no reserve price…read more They listed the gun with 3 magazines. These magazines are $35 a piece. I bought the gun for $765 under MSRP. They shipped it to my FFL dealer and I picked the gun up. I saw there was only 1 magazine with the gun but didn't sweat it because I thought they would make it right. I called them and told them the issue. They said they made a mistake and there was only 1 magazine. He offered to send me a shipping label and they would offer me a full refund. I told them I didn't want that and just wanted the gun and magazines that I bought, as they had listed it. They said they didn't have them and couldn't get them. I told them they had access to the internet and the magazines were in stock on all of the websites I checked. I told them it was not fair that I should be out money for my FFL transfer fees just because they made a mistake. These guys offered to pay my FFL fees and to pay shipping for me to send the gun back. I told them I already shot the gun and did not want to send it back to them. They were willing to be out over $100 just so they could get the gun back and then resell it for more (probably could make another $300 on it). I even offered to meet in the middle and take one magazine. They again refused. They only wanted to get the gun back so they could resell the gun and make more money on it. Very disappointing they would not do the right thing. They just wanted to leverage their mistake to make more money. When I pointed all this out the gun on the other line got real quiet and didn't even refute it. I really expect more from a gun dealer. I just wanted to rifle and magazines that were listed in the auction. This is the "cost of doing business" for these guys. If the business makes a mistake then they have to eat the cost, not the buyer/customer.

I wish it were a little less expensive and that the various options for cargo pants were a little less comfortable and not so rigid and unforgiving. Regardless, it's a solid REI location. PRO TIP: This is the only place I know of in Williamson County that sells freeze-dried mint chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches, my favorite dessert!!

This location is just off Franklin Road and has a huge and convenient parking lot. This Fleet Feet location sits inside of The Streets of Indian Lake in Hendersonville and is a well stocked, clean and welcoming spot for all your running needs and wants. This was my first visit to a Fleet Feet, and after sharing what I was after, Logan, who was the Specialist who assisted me, walked me through their process, which started with a full foot scan. Based on this scan, the system recommends different shoes and wildly enough, the shoes it recommended were the ones I had been scoping online based on my foot issues. Logan pulled a few pair of shoes, let me try them on, walk around, even go outside. He also educated me on the feel of each, plus pulled a few options of insoles that would best support my feet. The process was comprehensive and factual without being overwhelming, pushy or timely. I ended up walking out with a new pair of Asics and nice insoles, running me around $250 out the door. Expensive in general, yup...but these prices are standard and I feel the value was a bit more there considering the process. Overall, I will certainly be back to this location. He delivered the camper to the campground and was there setting up when we arrived. He provided a quick intro to the workings of the heat/stovetop and refrigerator and we were set! After hiking, we returned to find a record player with records and a flat screen tv and dvd player ready for the evening! The seating areas are easily converted to sleeping space which provided ample room for the 3 of us. Plenty of warm bedding, pillows and towels were provided in the cost of the rental. We didn't utilize the shower, but this camper features a toilet/shower combo that would be perfect for remote campgrounds! We'll most definitely do this again! Ellen W
