Knowing my friend and I were coming to Nashville for a girls day and concert in the evening, a little clothes shopping was in order! I saw online that there was parking available in the rear of the building so we pulled up and did that quickly and entered the back door of the boutique. Immediately greeted by color and fabric and cute things. We stepped in and saw some workers who greeted us and asked if there was anything specific they could help us with. We were just gonna look at everything. We did look at every thing! Dresses, blouses, pants, accessories! It was cute design of the shop, and there was a lot of inventory, but in a neat way. I had taken some screenshots of some items that I wanted to look at when I got into the store and asked the associates where to find each and they found everything I needed in the size I needed and I tried on five things and nothing was the right look for me, which was very disheartening. The experience, however, was terrific! Even the pricing was reasonable! The associates were so friendly and engaged with us and we had fun in there! They told us that when we come back to Nashville, they may be already moved to a new location later this year so check the website before you come in. I was especially drawn to the collection of copper bells and ornaments, as I enjoy hanging pieces like these in the tree in our backyard. The owner took the time to chat with us, asking where we were from, what brought us to Nashville, and what we had planned during our stay. She shared thoughtful recommendations for local shops, restaurants, and experiences that only a true local would know. When I mentioned that I planned to hang the copper bells outdoors, she even recommended a protective coating to help preserve them from the elements. It was clear that she genuinely cared about helping her customers enjoy their purchases long after they left the store. Her attention to detail continued through the checkout process. She carefully wrapped the bells to protect them and minimize noise during our travels. She even walked across the alley to another shop to get us a sturdier bag because she felt it would be better suited for carrying our purchases than the bags she had on hand. The moment that truly sealed the experience came when a heavy rainstorm rolled in as we were leaving. Without a second thought, she offered us her personal umbrella and simply trusted us to bring it back when we were done. In a world where customer service often feels transactional, this was something special. No greeting from the proprietors, though I greeted them. They did agree to go through some items I brought with me, even though the process is usually to make an appointment. Sighing, they deigned to take a look at my clothes. I thanked them for reviewing my items without an appointment. Sorry to interrupt your convo, there was literally only one other person in the store, so I figured you'd have time. The signage around the store is pretty clear, so the dress I chose to try on I knew I would not get store credit for. When I dared to ask if I can try the dress on, they both quickly and sullenly let me know that that dress could not be bought on store credit. Cool, I can read. I merely wanted to try it on, and wasn't going to demand they let me use store credit. I have wracked my brain to every instance I have been in this store, to try to figure out why these two treat me like the garbage on their shoes. These two women had been super icy to me in the past - yes, I have been a customer there more than once - but today was the worst. Not only were they so icy today, it was almost hostile, the difference between the way they treated me, and the way they nicely interacted with both the woman who was checking out when I got there, and the woman who was shopping when I was checking out was glaring. You can keep your rip off level store credit - I will not be returning to your shop. You are not the only plus sized resale game in town. Surely, some others will be at least professional and kind. I do NOT recommend this store to anyone, the mean girls running it do not deserve your business. Fellow plus sized ladies, do yourselves a favor and look elswhere. This place does not disappoint! There was a great selection of lots of different types of clothing, from formal dresses to workout sets to outerwear. There were brands I knew, like Eloquii, Ava & Viv, and Torrid, plus some I didn't know yet. My greatest surprise and delight happened in the fitting rooms, which are both equipped with fans!! This is clearly a space imagined by fat people for fat people (if you know, you know). I can't wait to see how the collection of clothing evolves once they start buying from the community next week. Even though the location is a little bit out of the way for me, this will definitely be a regular stop because it fills a niche that literally didn't exist in Nashville. I love that I'll be able to try clothes on in person instead of relying totally on online shopping and the sad in-store plus options offered at many big box retailers.

Tonight Doc got us reservations for a Speakeasy Mystery Crawl in Nashville. The COLD night air confirmed I better buy a black coat to match the new black dress since they have a dress code. Thankfully I found a bedazzled light weight black coat for $30, bling earrings and a ring to get into the mood for this evening's 7:30 pm event. This shop did not have that musty smell like Goodwill or Savers. We'd shop for music or Big Sky bears ages ago but not clothes. I think watching Twilight Zone in my school age years gave me the Willie's of wearing someone else's clothes. Hub's aunty even told them she had nightmares with her own mom's clothes when she passed. Hopefully the one sage bundle i saw in the shop will be cleansing enough with my purchases. Hubs stayed in the car with Grandpup and Doc decided to go next door and treated us to coffee.
