Jack's Guitarcheology is my favorite guitar shop. I have always enjoyed their social media posts and low pressure atmosphere. Sometimes I go into a guitar shop and feel like I am either quickly dismissed or aggressively targeted to buy something I don't need. That has never been my experience with Jack's. The last time I was in the area I drove an hour out of my way to check out their collection of effects pedals and walked away with an OBNE Fault V2, and a gem of a vintage autoharp for my wife. I got to meet Toby, the sweet little shop dog who keeps an eye on things, and Jack made the effort to to show off an old Harmony I had a soft spot for, and even helped me find a spot in town to eat lunch. Here I've included a picture of my most recent purchase from the store. A Squire Jazzmaster with some very cool mods including an ADR boost circuit with a toggle switch, and a sick break angle pickup installed to capture resonant noise all of which was installed by Chad Winn of CWINN Strings. I feel like I got it for a steal and it shipped beautifully. I honestly barely had to tune it, and the set up held magnificently even through shipping without a hard case (something I was confident doing because I know Jack's track record for excellent customer service). I can't recommend them enough. If the vibes are off at your local guitar shop, if you have a daughter that you want to share your hobby with, if you want to see some sick vintage weirdo imports and catalog guitars, or if you just want to make friends with a really friendly beagle this is the shop for you. read more

Jack and crew are all awesome , honest and easy to deal with in everything I've done with the store. If something isn't right, they make it right. Recently traded with them (again) and received a perfectly set up and ready to play Les Paul. The deal in my mind was more than fair to myself and the store! You can go to a big box store anywhere and see all of the standard stuff you would expect to there. Or you could visit Jacks Guitarcheology and see some very unique instruments as well as what the typical guitars and basses and other instruments. If you want to talk about repair and set up , you'll be hard pressed to find anyone better. Every guitar I have brought to Jack for set up comes back playing like absolute butter , I mean that smooth silky buttery feel most people want on their guitars. They have set up 20 or more guitars for me I have several more more to get to as far as set up and various part swaps and such. By then it'll be time to start over and get fresh set ups again...lol. I cannot say enough good things about Jack's Guitarcheology. The inventory is always interesting, the staff are knowledgeable without being condescending in any way. They are always willing to explain things to people like me who have loads of questions. The work they do is fantastic! Not only do they fix and or modify a number of guitars they sell in shop the work they do on personal guitars is thorough, timely, and reasonable (not an easy thing to find in this town). The only drawback for me is that it's about 45 minutes from my house. But even still, it's easy to get in and out of. And on the occasions where I don't have time to make the journey, they ship safely and quick. And I should mention there are at least 3 well known and loved guitar shops with a few miles of me, and I still make the trip out there for repairs. They also have a great selection of books. I've ordered and purchased several from them. I've been buying from Jack for several years now, and I absolutely love every piece I have from him. I've never went inside the store, but I can't wait til I do! A true music shop ran by a true musician. Jack has been an active member for a while in the middle tn music scene. From what I've seen, Jack has a great team and treats his employees great. He has the most unique guitars you'll ever see, no hyperbole. A perfect place for beginners looking for that first guitar or guitar experts that want some of the coolest gear. Not just guitars but Jacks has so many vendors and suppliers always bringing in cool stuff from funky large basses, to boutique and local pedal companies. Jacks social media constantly has me drooling over how beautiful some of the pieces are. Do yourself a favor and give them your business over guitar center you won't be disappointed. read more

The staff at this store are outstanding, each and every one of them. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything or rushed out the door in any way last time I visited. Very different vibe to the typical music store, where as soon as you walk in there's a salesperson breathing down your neck. Very interesting collection of guitars new and old, some heavily modified to make them better for the player. Online inventory is updated frequently, and they run sales often, see their social medias for those! There really is a toilet seat guitar in the bathroom, the urban legend is true lol. These people will bend over backwards to make sure you have the best experience possible, customer service is their #1 concern. read more

I truly love this shop. I've been a customer of Jack's since he was selling guitars out of his living room. The vibes in this store are immaculate, the staff are a sweet gang of misfits who will go out of their way to assist you with any issues. I've even seen Jack go so far as to give away functional instruments to people who wanted or needed a guitar but just could swing buying one. To me what this shop does so well, the thing that puts it in the upper echelon of local businesses is the way they foster community. We're lucky to have this place. read more

It all started when I bought a guitar from Jack. First thing I noticed was how every guitar I played was set up and in tune. after buying the guitar and getting it home I decided to take one of my guitars back for a set up. and then another...now Jack's is the only place I trust with my guitar work. Very knowledgeable and reasonable. Got a great deal on a couple of items purchased there over the years. Small shop on the square in Lebanon. Love the vibe. Everyone was so helpful and actually helped me to get exactly what I needed for my purposes (which ended up being less expensive than the route I originally intended). Wonderful collection of guitars and accessories to choose. (Even a few other stringed instruments - a mandolin caught my eye). I'll stop in every time I'm in town. read more

Super nice and friendly staff, I could spend hours just talking with them about any and all guitar related inquiries and I have!
