Cute little coffee shop. Great matcha and coffee with different flavors. All drinks are on the sweeter side ( Vietnamese style) which is great for me. They also have a less sweet option. My favorite is the pandan matcha and egg coffee but you can'y go wrong with anything else on the menu. Literally so good. Their banh mi is pretty legit. I tried meatball and eggs banh mi, which isn't my fav. The bbq pork banh mi (char siu) is much better imo. It's self serve and you can order on the ipad inside or you can order ahead on Snackpass. Customer service was great, environment was pretty, and drinks + food came out fast. We ordered a banana matcha latte, one with regular sweetness and another with less sweet. Both with oatmilk. We were def excited to try it, but when we did, it tasted like chemicals??? So we were very confused, mixed our drink more, kept trying it again, but the taste was the same. It wasn't like the bitter matcha taste or anything like that, and it's a bit hard to describe the taste, but it leaves a dry feeling on your tongue and tastes like if you were to lick hand sanitizer off ur hand. Perhaps we got a wrong batch b/c all the reviews looked really good. UPDATE: Owner messaged us back and apologized for the drinks. He asked us to come back so we did. We received a full refund for the drinks and he gave us extra drinks to try for free. We tried to give him a tip but he gave it back to us. Stopped in for a quick snack /lunch before heading home. Parking was not easy to find, however it was worth the trouble. The person who helped take the order was helpful, knowledgeable, patient, and efficient. Although there was very little seating available and it was quite busy, the placement of their seating area was well thought out & neat. The atmosphere was not chaotic, felt staff was on top of the orders, and not rushing while making /assembling the orders. I tried both drinks on my way home & I have to say they were both just perfectly sweetened and were as tasty as they were beautiful! When I got home, my husband had their shredded chicken Banh Mi and I had the Pork Loaf with Pate Banh Mi. We enjoyed them immediately so I didn't get a photo! You'll have to trust that they were not only delicious, but one of the best Banh Mi sandwiches we've ever had. Having had many Banh Mi sandwiches from San Jose, Dublin, So Cal, all the way out to Sacramento area these truly were impressive. They didn't fall apart, they were not soggy (despite having to be in the car for a little over an hour car ride back home), and the veggies were fresh (crunchy) as if they assembled them for us at our home ! Lastly, the bread!!! Crunchy on the outside, yet soft at the same time , and had a nice light buttery taste that left our mouths wanting more! I would recommend anyone who is a tea and or sandwich fan to visit one their locations at least once! Book mark this place, we have! We plan to visit here again hopefully soon! read more

I have been trying strawberry matchas across the Bay Area and when I first came during their soft opening and the quality of my strawberry matcha was very good. Came again today to enjoy their strawberry matcha and the quality was poor. I saw it placed onto the counter and there was no separation of the matcha and milk like it came in the first time; it tasted like the matcha was poorly mixed into the milk. The strawberry portion was very jammy unlike what I had before where I could take sips and feel the small strawberry pieces. Due to these factors, the drink tasted very sweet without the strong earthiness of the matcha to compliment it. Maruwu seicha is more consistent in my opinion when it comes to strawberry matchas. read more

Although my friend and I only bought their matcha drinks when it's a coffee house it was definitely worth a try. Their strawberry matcha was good! Not too sweet but if you're a strong matcha lover, maybe skip the matcha here. It's not as strong as I'd like, the drink had a subtle matcha flavor and more strawberry empowering the flavor. They could definitely work on the boba it was hard. Considering I'm actually a huge fan of Boba Binge in Oakland, I would assume the boba should be the same here but it's different.. glad to see them expanding to coffee! Popcorn chicken is super solid and in the more delicate taiwanese style that I prefer (over the more americanized version). May become my goto popcorn chicken spot as is closest good spot to downtown/ north Berkeley (other good ones are south side). Staff was helpful and responsive and made the spice level custom (only had no spice / spicy options, wanted medium). Interior is nice and music isn't too loud; ordering console worked well (newer snackpass) compared to others that I've used that were super laggy and unpleasant. I'm excited to try their banh mi in the future. Overall super glad to have a place in this niche nearby! I hope it does well and stays open. They have a big selection of drinks -- coffee, tea, non-caffeinated, with things, such as boba, that can be added, and a wide selection of bahn mi fillings. Assorted other small eats too. Nicely modern decoration, pretty fast service. My sandwich was quite good. Slightly saucy style of bahn-mi (say, as opposed to nearby Saigon Express), decent size -- I was pretty full after eating it all. The egg coffee (coffee topped with frothed eggnog-y concoction) was tasty. It's iced, and once stirred in, it makes for an almost shake-like texture. I'm a fan of coffee and saw this place went viral on IG so I had to come try it. Worth it! My most favorite is Ube Coffee, it's nice kick of strong coffee and finishes with the creaminess of the Ube foam. It is seriously so good. I never thought that coffee and Ube can go so well together. My friends tried Ube matcha, Pandan coffee, egg coffee and sesame coffee. Pandan coffee is a hype in Vietnam right now I heard, I'm surprised that it is available in Bay Area here. All my friends loved the drink, especially the sesame coffee. The sesame taste was mixed with foam. Oh btw tip for egg coffee is that you need to stir it very well. it's been difficult finding good matcha in berkeley :') i think we could count those places with just one hand LOL but binge currently takes 1st place !! as far as price goes, i think it's pretty standard for the bay. i've paid more for shitty matcha, so the quality of their ingredients and food def justify the price :] we had to wait quite a bit, but tbf it was their grand opening at the time. despite being slammed, the owner was very patient with our requests/questions and was so friendly ! so far, we've tried: matcha latte: [5/5] standard classic drink. we got ours with less sugar which was just the right level of sweetness. black sesame matcha: [5/5] i'm literally obsessed with this one rn :') so fragrant and nutty ! this was the drink that made me come back consecutively green thai tea: [4/5] not many places nearby offer it, so this was a great option to have! it's light and floral with hints of jasmine and pandan. i think the flavor was weakened since i tried it right after sipping the matcha ;( ube matcha: [3.7/5] honestly not the biggest fan of ube, but the drink wasn't bad at all! the flavor was there, but i think it overpowered the matcha a bit strawberry matcha: [3.8/5] we got to keep and try this one after they accidentally made it for our order. matcha quality is good as always, and it's just what a strawberry matcha tastes like, but the strawberry overpowered the matcha a bit as well :') overall, my experiences at binge have been amazing so far with amazing quality matcha and service. i will be coming back often !!! read more

Almost tried every flavor of the speciality coffee foams and they have been great every time! My personal favorites have been the matcha and ube foam -- but the egg latte, black sesame foam, and pandan coffee have been delicious too. My only tip is to ask for the "less sweet" option as it can be a lot with the additional flavorings. I haven't had the opportunity to try the food unfortunately. The service has always been very fast, nice, and reliable. The space itself has a bathroom, additional chairs in the back, and a bright, clean atmosphere. It can be difficult to find a seat -- especially near an outlet -- so if you're planning on sitting for a while or studying it can be hit or miss. But if you're able to find a seat to settle in, the WiFi works fairly well (as good as a public coffee shop's WiFi can be). Overall, one of my favorite new cafes to grab a drink at! If you're able to arrive early, it's also a relaxing spot to get some work done. read more
