This restaurant is located on the main floor of the San Francisco Marriott Union Square where I stayed for a week, so I dined here a few times out of convenience. Plus, the food was really good! My first time here I ordered a salad with grilled salmon. The salmon was lightly seasoned either salt and pepper and was juicy. I had the fried pickles which were also a nice treat. On a separate occasion my co-worker and I had cocktails and appetizers (truffle fries & salt&pepper edamame). Those were really good! I also ordered a club sandwich for take out that was great as well. The service was quick. When I dined by myself, I sat at the bar. When I was with my colleague, I sat at the tables and found the chairs uncomfortably low. The seats were comfortable and great for sitting back to relax, but not ideal for dining.

Miso salmon, garlic mashed potatoes, roasted carrots and broccolini

Pleasantly surprised with this hotel restaurant. Salmon and steak was perfectly done. Mashed potatoes were good and roasted veggies were a little overdone but it didn't ruin my meal. Everything needed a pinch of salt but so worth it. The staff was attentive and friendly (after they figured out we were actual guests ) so conveniently located in the lobby area. I would eat here every night but I'm a first timer to the city by the bay and had to see it in all its glory.

Lovely little upscale bar at the bottom Marriott SF (downtown until square) hotel -- great place to stop by if meeting a friend or secret rendezvous for drinks/snack. Lots of cocktails to choose from whether you are going business casual or bar hopping. Bonus: the rooms (ahem yes!)!are spacious, modern and sexy with city views all around. Why not take your date for a little private adventure before going out on the town. Cheers

Conveniently tucked inside the Marriott Union Square, this is a nice amenity. I used my $25 daily credit (credited from the $25 daily resort fee) to get carry out. The first night I enjoyed the angus burger and upgraded to Parmesan truffle fries. The burger was alright and the fries hot and fresh. The second night was a lighter dinner with the crab and corn chowder, bread and butter, and a slice of New York cheese cake. The chowder was ok- just needed a pinch of seasoning to take it to the next level. Ronald provided friendly service. The Warriors game was playing on the TV for guests to watch.

After day of traveling arrived at Bin just needing simple meal. Club sandwich is excellent and service was very good.

A solid hotel bar. Went there for a glass of wine with a friend while staying at the Marriott Union Square. Friendly bartender who recommended a great wine, Newton 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon. On the expensive side, but a good recommendation. Solid choice for a glass of wine in a modern décor and top-notch bartenders.

Lovely late night dinner at this restaurant. After spending most of my day on a plane, I was absolutely famished. I wasn't sure how much energy I had to walk around the city and find something I wanted to eat. This place seemed like the path of least resistance, given that it's located on the lobby level of my hotel. I sat down and Steve greeted me warmly right away. He was an absolute pleasure to chat with and really made me feel welcome. I sipped a delectable Terrazas Alto de Plata chardonnay while I scanned the menu. Although I'd already had a sandwich for lunch (I eat a lot of sandwiches on the road, apparently) the turkey club with avocado looked really good, so I decided to order that. I was not prepared for what Steve with bring me from the kitchen. This sandwich was a massive, double-decker construction that would definitely require two hands to eat. Maybe three. And it was goooooood! So good! As hungry as I was, I barely got through half of it. It came with fries, which I managed to finish, but I definitely had enough left over for a pretty good lunch the next day. The restaurant itself is beautiful, located in the lobby of the Marriott Hotel. It has a modern and sophisticated look: lots of the white space, clean lines and soft white and blue lighting. It's an inviting space for dinner, after-work drinks, or just to get out of the room for a while.

The Gold Rush (with Buffalo Trace) made brilliantly by Julia

We stopped in twice during a visit to SF, once for a late dinner and once for midday drinks. The menu was pretty good for dinner and they made a pretty good set of tacos and the exact kind of burger and fries I needed when we went in. The service was really good too - a lot of places in the area we'd gone to on the trip didn't offer that great of service, I'd guess because they knew a lot of their customers wouldn't be back anytime soon. The team at the 480 was really great both times we visited, and we were very warmly welcomed back when we came in the second time. When we returned we were were lucky enough to get two Gold Rushes made specifically by Julia herself and they were fantastic! It was easily the best cocktail I've had in months. Make sure to ask for one of Julia's manhattans/Gold Rush. This thing is so good it needs to be patented.

The Gold Rush is simply the best damn mixed bourbon drink I've had. I had one made "smooth" recommended by bartender extraordinaire, Julia. This definitely was the highlight of my day!

Julia's Manhattan (on the rocks)

I saw a million reviews talking about Julia's Manhattan so I came in based on that alone. Julia made me a Manhattan and let me tell you... It. Was. Delicious. 10/10 highly recommend.

Charging the $10 event fee on discretion before the posted event start time seems... shady? illegal? My two friends got in a few minutes before with no cover. I was dealing with a bike lock while they went in. We were not there for the event but rather as volunteers from the weekly cleanup refuse crew in the Mission. You get perks as a thank-you for doing your part in making the City a cleaner place. We had just had a lovely time at another participating business (Beehive) and planned on Arcana being our final stop. Thankfully I was able to use the restroom without a fee, with my gear held up outside by the security team. While waiting in the restroom line, I told a staff member about all this, and the worker seemingly went up to the front to find out what's going on. The line took a few minutes, my friends also bumped into me, and I told them I'd likely wait for them outside the business post-restroom while they finished their wine. Already reported to the Mayor's Office. Maybe I'll add BBB. Should be honest and equitable! Four out of 200+ reviews by me have been one star, so I rarely share negativity. It's all rather unfortunate as other visits here went off without an issue. I warned a group of four about all this while I waited out front, and after talking to the front door folks, they left and thanked me for the advice. Please be careful if you visit here. . . .

Atmosphere is dim, perfect for a date or hanging with friends. Good music. Entire front of house is run by husband wife owners Joel and Natalia. We ordered a wine flight and let Joel choose our three pours, all of which were fantastic. Favorite was a Domaine des Aubuisieres "Cuvee de Silex" Vouvray. - cheese board - seasonal cheeses and jams with sourdough that complimented the wine nicely - cebiche - market fish, maine scallops, octopus, leche de tigre - fresh fish with a bit of a kick

We stopped in over Labor Day weekend and I was actually surprised by how quiet it was, which made it a nice place to sit and enjoy a glass without feeling crowded or rushed. Where they lost me was the wine pricing. The by-the-glass prices are pretty steep, with most around $16-$20 and Champagne at $25. I'm completely fine paying more at a wine bar for the atmosphere, service, and experience, but knowing what some of these bottles actually retail for, the markup felt excessive for what was being poured. They do offer a full food menu and some of it sounds interesting, but I wasn't impressed enough with the wine experience or value to want to stay and try the food, so I can't speak to that. I'm glad I finally checked Frenchie out after seeing it online so much. It's a cute space and I can see the appeal, but for me the value just isn't there at these prices

I've had the short rib before. Both early bird favorites that sell out. Both are EXCELLENT. The perfect size burrito. Equally distributed ingredients throughout the burrito so every bite is deliciously filled. No mouthfuls of just tortilla. The sauce is a must. It gives the extra little kick you're hoping for. When people said they found one of the best breakfast burritos at Bodega I first thought they must not be from San Francisco and they must be somewhere in Eastern United States where they call any corner store a Bodega. Then I was thinking they were referring to Bodega the Vietnamese restaurant in SF. I then thought it couldn't be the Hummus Bodega on Geary boulevard or Coffee Bodega in the Marina. I then thought the most of these best breakfast burritos are in the Mission District. I finally got to find out it's a bar called Bodega North Beach which sells breakfast burritos only on Saturday mornings. On a Fall stroll on a sunny morning I landed at the North Beach a pickle ball throw away from Washington Square Park and lots of restaurants with Angel hair pasta. There was no inside in the morning because it's all to go orders. I decided to try their chorizo and sausage breakfast burritos. The sausage breakfast sausage with avocado ,eggs, and a bit flakey potatoes like some in SF. The chorizo breakfast burrito was savory but a bit tangier and the sauce enhanced the burrito flavor. It's one of the top breakfast burrito in SF but it's a worthy contender and easily a top ten in the city. Wish it was more cheesy like some in SF. San Francisco is a city is small in size but when it comes to restaurants it packs a punch that's "mega "there is always good food from Chestnut street to Van Ness to Irving and "Noriega" which is a block away from a street called " Ortega" but you won't find this salsa in a jar because their salsa is made in house at a bar which sells good breakfast burritos on the avenue of Columbus called "Bodega" Bodega North Beach is located a few blocks where Bruce Lee ( RIP) was born who also played on TV the character "Kato " if you go to North Beach in SF you will find dozens of restaurants that offer Angel hair and fettuccine "Alfredo"the breakfast burrito at Bodega has a bit of egg ,avocado, and "potato" and a hint of "tomato "
