I don't usually like breakfast--like at all-- but I love Billy's cafe. My favorite meal is the Farmer Skillet. I've also tried the crepes, biscuits and gravy and eggs Benedict. Large plates of food but a tad too greasy for us. Service was just fine and friendly. I had a 1/2 order of the farmer. It was fried potatoes with green peppers, onions, sausage, ham topped with gravy and an egg. Sausage gravy not very flavorful. Potatoes looked and tasted like chopped up french fries. I got a warm welcome on coming in and I told my server I might be a couple hours as my car is getting work done and he said no problem. There's a steady stream of people coming in late morning on a weekday so I'm guessing it's a really popular place. The fact that they offer gluten free Eggs Benedict is the clincher for me! It's on bread and not an English Muffin but I don't mind. I always feel like I have to order modifications for every meal I eat out so this "off the rack" order makes me feel welcomed. read more

I unfortunately did not share the same experience as the other diners did. Myself and four friends went in here to have breakfast one saturday morning to try this local business out. Firstly, the service was friendly, but very slow. They only had one coffee pot so only one person at a time could get coffee until they brewed another pot. A frustrating, but overall minor issue. After waiting about 30 minutes to even put in our order the busy waitress finally came over to take our order. After an ENTIRE HOUR we finally got our food at our table, which was extremely underwhelming. I got the corned beef hash, as it's generally my go-to breakfast item at restaurants. I didn't really like anything about this interpretation of it though, unfortunately. Very small portion, especially for the price. The corned beef was in tiny cubes mixed among giant chunks of badly undercooked potatoes. That made eating it very difficult. I had to use a spoon for the corned beef (that tasted like a ball park frank honestly) and a fork for the potatoes. Overall, this experience was enough to tell me that I'd rather just go to one of the already well established restaurants in the area. This place was by no means awful, but it was by no means great, either. Would not recommend. read more

I was so disappointed after coming here. After reading awesome reviews I was hoping to find my new breakfast place but our waitress was horrible. The restaurant itself was super cute and felt like a neighborhood cafe with good food. We loved the eggs and bacon! But the second I walked through the door it left a bad taste in my mouth. My dad had been waiting for us at the counter. When I walked in I asked him if he asked for a table for us and he said yes and asked the waitress if it was the one in the corner. She turned around and snapped at him "I already told you it would be a few minutes". Now I'm SURE my dad had asked once maybe twice before but that gave her no right to be rude! And little did she know he has a failing memory. To be rude was ridiculous. He is obviously elderly so you would think she would have been understanding too! She then walked over to the other waitress said something to her and the TWO of the turned around looked right at us and laughed. After seating us she was short and annoyed with us. Not once did she smile or be friendly. Once we got our food she never checked in on us or even looked our way. Because it is a small restaurant I saw two tables sit next to us and she was over the top friendly, engaging and even gave her name to them as curtesy. I can not believe how bad her service was. I'm not sure if she was racist or what her deal was because it honestly started that second with my dad. After all that I still left her a 9 tip on a 28 ticket..... stopped in on a Sunday with my son before a long drive south to Vancouver WA. We shared an omelet breakfast and and the crepes. Waitress offered for cook to split the two meals between us onto two plates, but we opted just for a spare plate. The food was really good. We had a mushroom, onion, ham and chedder omlete which was filled just right. The hash browns are really tasty but could be browned a tad longer. the toast and house jelly were good as well. The crepes are worth getting if just to share. nice and not overly sweet cream cheese filling topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries.
